I was taught at an early age that my word was my bond. I live by that to this day. The interent has not changed that nor will it ever. However its my opinion some out there take advantage of the anonymity the interent provides and act accordingly.4 points

At 71 now, its "Generations" below me. Multiple gens, by all sorts of names. Our young are losing sight of about everything but selfpleasure and the "get it free...I'm owed it viewpoint. Lack of respect for tradition and education. The past is of no use to them, and many don't know even basic history anymore. Lack of work ethic...heck lack of ethics at all in so many of them now. So sad. I see the FB line "I miss the America I grew up in" a lot. And I do.4 points

I read recently on here about someone complaining about a buy that didn’t work out. While I do think that just someone replying asking about it doesn’t rise to the level of an agreement, there are situations where when a trade/sale is negotiated, a time, date and place are agreed upon, that does meet the criteria I think of a gentleman’s agreement. It’s like a virtual handshake was effected. Then if the person withdraws a few hours later, due to a better offer, in my old school moral set, I think that’s dishonest or at least ungentlemanly, which, either way, seems to not mean as much these days. I’m not upset that much about the deal not proceeding, but am saddened by this happening on here, albeit from a pretty new member. Still lwarning at my advanced age, LOL. Anyway, no hard feelings, I just will be a little careful about looking at length of membership first. And no, I’m not outing anyone or calling anyone out, just venting.2 points

I have a Fal/C1A1 semi auto rifle for sale. The rifle was built from a Canadian military issue rifle on a metric Imbel receiver. I bought this for my father almost 20 yrs ago in Knoxville at Coal Creek Armory they are closed down now. I have 3 20 round magazines that come with it. The rifle accepts metric magazines. My dad wanted wood furniture, I bought him American Walnut, i finished the stocks for him. The rifle was built by Arizona Response Systems very good gun smiths. I recently shot a 20 round mag through it no problems. Have a video if you want to see it, I would like 1400.00 for it or OBO.2 points

It may not be the closest option to Nolensville but I really like working with @sigbrown1297 over at Thompson's Station Armory. His new location is just right off the 840 at Hwy 31.2 points

DAMN! I hate logic at times! May, and does, sound extremist. But not many have lost on betting on the idiocy and undeniable power...of whatever we want to call this current ruling body. I really don't like thinking this way. But Greed has taken this country by storm in recent years! Whether it be for money or power, and there's precious little difference between the two anymore; the evil that is greed and love of accumulating money by any means is my take on the cause of all our problems. Maybe I'm oversimplifiny. but my take on it all.2 points

Somehow folks need to realize that it only takes an un-fortunate chain of events for them to leave this world and they could suffer a great deal before they do.2 points

SOLD! Walther PDP Compact F-Series I believe that this is the first PDP F-Series that I have seen for sale on TGO. This gun might as well be brand new and has less than 50 rounds fired through it. I purchased it last month after being intrigued by the smaller grip circumference inherent with the F-Series design and assumed that my wife would like it for a Mother's Day gift. Well... you know what they say about assumptions. I have replaced the chintzy factory plastic sights with a Night Fision tritium front sight and a 10-8 Performance rear sight. That combo works flawlessly for me on my Glocks and worked flawlessly on this gun as well, providing a perfect lower 1/3 co-witness in the window of whatever optic you decide to put on it. Sights retail for $110. I have NOT used the free optic mounting plate request for this gun, which means that you will be able to get a free optic mounting plate from Walther once you own it. TERMS OF SALE: $550 Cash Price. Local sale within the Franklin, Spring Hill areas only. Will not ship. Daytime meeting ONLY in a public location. You'll show me your carry permit as proof that you can own a gun, but that's it. No invoices. Not looking for any trades at this time. MORE PHOTOS: What you see is what you get.1 point

Most everybody on this forum seems to be pretty ethical. More so than most places in my opinion. You will still run across a squirrel every now and the on though. My hat’s off to the moderators here who do a spectacular job ferreting these folks out in short order! I reckon that’s why they make the big bucks.1 point

I had my corn blown over one year and was surprised to see it standing back up a couple days later. An old farmer told me that as long as the roots remain in the ground it will stand back up.1 point

John Wick movies. Various TV or streaming series. Basically, bandwagon riders causing the rules of supply and demand to skew heavily in favor of the liquor stores and wide profit margins. I'm to the point where if I discover a whiskey or bourbon that I like, I don't talk it up to anyone.1 point

You mean "Essa niieeceee." But I agree. Like the all stainless version too. Had one several years ago. Sold it for a bit of a profit from my purchase. But not a greedy one. LOL. Actually, I try to like Berettas, but I just can't get pas the size and chunkiness of them. Yes they are awesom firearms, just not for me.1 point

Sure. I've only been able to ride the gas bike a few times but I'll share my initial thoughts. I had a really hard time letting the E bike go. The Talaria felt like riding a really fast mountain bike. It's light and nimble and overall just easier to ride for an inexperienced rider like me. If I got in a jamb I could just pick it up and turn it around. It was incredibly fun. The biggest downside is that they are made in China. I was concerned about long term reliability. Range was a concern too but I could have picked up a 2nd battery. The Honda is 70lbs heavier. It's harder for me to load on my hitch hauler, harder to ride, and feels more like an actual motorcycle. That said, I'm sure this will get easier with time. I'm enjoying shifting gears and learning a clutch. It has better suspension than the Talaria. It is also made in China but still has Honda's reliability. It also has twice the range. Most people report getting 100 miles or more to a tank. If money were not a consideration I would have kept the Talaria in addition to the Honda. I hope to have another one someday. Overall, both are a lot of fun and I enjoy riding in the woods much more than pavement.1 point

There is no doubt in my mind that this was built because an HOA complained that you could see the trash can from the road.1 point

The main brunt of the storm passed right over us and we got some heavy rain and some wind but it came and went in about 30 minutes and we didn't have any damage.1 point

So I won't bore anyone with a really long ride report here but I just got back yesterday from nearly 3 weeks on the road. Left before Memorial Day headed west. Went through Arkansas, Oklahoma, the Panhandle of Texas and into New Mexico. From New Mexico I wandered north into the corner of Colorado and into southern Utah. Spent a few days in Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, and the Moab area. From there I went through Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley toward the Grand Canyon. Spent a couple days in Grand Canyon National park including one day off the bike to hike the South Rim and part of Bright Angel. Left GC NP and went south picking up old Route 66 and followed the mother road over toward Las Vegas to meet a friend for lunch at In-N-Out before moving on to Death Valley National Park. Spent 3 days in Death Valley riding Mustard Canyon, 20 mule team canyon and part of Titus Canyon. Unseasonably cool when I arrived at 103ºF but got closer to normal on my last day at 111ºF. Left DV NP and headed over to the Searles Valley and China Lake area to spend the night there. I then set out south toward Joshua Tree National Park and the Salton Sea area before ending up in San Diego for a night. Went to the beach before sunrise to start my coast to coast ride back east bound for the Atlantic ocean in Jacksonville Beach. I got into Jacksonville beach about 44 hours later completing my 50CC Quest (Ironbutt Association Coast to Coast run in 50 hours or less). After some rest in Jacksonville I wandered up toward North Carolina and eventually the Richmond Virginia area for the 50th annual BMW MOA National rally. After the rally I wandered back toward Tennessee getting home yesterday evening. I dumped the fully loaded bike in Canyonlands National park and dislocated by thumb which did make things a bit tougher with my throttle hand the rest of the trip especially considering I dislocated it 4 more times since it is really prone to repeat dislocations after the first one until it has a chance to heal. I did encounter some serious cross winds in New Mexico and West Texas which caused a couple of unplanned lane changes and one tangle with a tumble weed. Stats: 16 days and 15 nights on the road. Total distance; 7232 miles States visited/crossed; 17 Number of National Parks; 6 Number of State Parks; 2 Gas Used; 188.67 gallons Number of fuel Stops; 43 Max paid for gas; $6.069 / G (In Death Valley CA) Min paid for gas; $2.829 / G Avg payed for gas; $3.869 / G Total Spent on Fuel; $707.49 Camping Nights; 4 Cabin/Yurt/Bunkhouse Nights; 3 Hotel Nights; 81 point

Gavin "Goebbels" Newsom, "Cackleberry" Kamala, "Uncle Fester" Fetterman, and Joey "Stumbles" Biden. The names you can trust for gutting the 2nd Amendment.1 point
