So I won't bore anyone with a really long ride report here but I just got back yesterday from nearly 3 weeks on the road. Left before Memorial Day headed west. Went through Arkansas, Oklahoma, the Panhandle of Texas and into New Mexico. From New Mexico I wandered north into the corner of Colorado and into southern Utah. Spent a few days in Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, and the Moab area. From there I went through Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley toward the Grand Canyon. Spent a couple days in Grand Canyon National park including one day off the bike to hike the South Rim and part of Bright Angel. Left GC NP and went south picking up old Route 66 and followed the mother road over toward Las Vegas to meet a friend for lunch at In-N-Out before moving on to Death Valley National Park. Spent 3 days in Death Valley riding Mustard Canyon, 20 mule team canyon and part of Titus Canyon. Unseasonably cool when I arrived at 103ºF but got closer to normal on my last day at 111ºF. Left DV NP and headed over to the Searles Valley and China Lake area to spend the night there. I then set out south toward Joshua Tree National Park and the Salton Sea area before ending up in San Diego for a night. Went to the beach before sunrise to start my coast to coast ride back east bound for the Atlantic ocean in Jacksonville Beach. I got into Jacksonville beach about 44 hours later completing my 50CC Quest (Ironbutt Association Coast to Coast run in 50 hours or less). After some rest in Jacksonville I wandered up toward North Carolina and eventually the Richmond Virginia area for the 50th annual BMW MOA National rally. After the rally I wandered back toward Tennessee getting home yesterday evening. I dumped the fully loaded bike in Canyonlands National park and dislocated by thumb which did make things a bit tougher with my throttle hand the rest of the trip especially considering I dislocated it 4 more times since it is really prone to repeat dislocations after the first one until it has a chance to heal. I did encounter some serious cross winds in New Mexico and West Texas which caused a couple of unplanned lane changes and one tangle with a tumble weed. Stats: 16 days and 15 nights on the road. Total distance; 7232 miles States visited/crossed; 17 Number of National Parks; 6 Number of State Parks; 2 Gas Used; 188.67 gallons Number of fuel Stops; 43 Max paid for gas; $6.069 / G (In Death Valley CA) Min paid for gas; $2.829 / G Avg payed for gas; $3.869 / G Total Spent on Fuel; $707.49 Camping Nights; 4 Cabin/Yurt/Bunkhouse Nights; 3 Hotel Nights; 89 points

Progressives will, welfare recipients will, thugs will, the pay-for-no-work crowd will, free housing will, slum and homeless bums will, BLM will, cancel culture will, Woke will, the trans-it crowd will, urban jungles will, etc. Generations of those who have lived on the backs of taxpayers and decent folks will. Don't fool yourself. Why do you think they want the 2nd Amendment abolished and your guns confiscated?5 points

SOLD! Walther PDP Compact F-Series I believe that this is the first PDP F-Series that I have seen for sale on TGO. This gun might as well be brand new and has less than 50 rounds fired through it. I purchased it last month after being intrigued by the smaller grip circumference inherent with the F-Series design and assumed that my wife would like it for a Mother's Day gift. Well... you know what they say about assumptions. I have replaced the chintzy factory plastic sights with a Night Fision tritium front sight and a 10-8 Performance rear sight. That combo works flawlessly for me on my Glocks and worked flawlessly on this gun as well, providing a perfect lower 1/3 co-witness in the window of whatever optic you decide to put on it. Sights retail for $110. I have NOT used the free optic mounting plate request for this gun, which means that you will be able to get a free optic mounting plate from Walther once you own it. TERMS OF SALE: $550 Cash Price. Local sale within the Franklin, Spring Hill areas only. Will not ship. Daytime meeting ONLY in a public location. You'll show me your carry permit as proof that you can own a gun, but that's it. No invoices. Not looking for any trades at this time. MORE PHOTOS: What you see is what you get.2 points

Are you inside the city limits? If not, I expect it is perfectly legal to shoot on your property as long as you have a positive backstop. You may have neighbors with noise complaints, however.2 points

Replaced the stock on the Tikka and put limbsaver pads on both. Tested both with several types of ammo. Tikka is slightly more accurate and much smoother to operate. Plan to keep the Tikka. Found some low recoil 125gr ammo which is easy on the shoulder.2 points

I was very torn on the decision to keep it for myself, but I'm so deep into Glocks and my Sigs that I just couldn't rationalize it. But you're right about it being a heck of a great shooter.2 points

" How many guns should a person have? About five. That sounds like a gun enthusiast to me No, a gun enthusiast has about fifteen. That sounds like someone obsessed with guns. No, people obsessed with guns have hundreds That sounds like a psycho No psychos seldom own guns, or just get one or two That sounds like a normal person though... NO, a normal person has about five, we already covered that. "2 points

EDIT: 4 3/4" barrel is sold. 4" still available. Good morning everyone! New guy - just got stationed in the area and am selling a few guns as moving them is getting burdensome. Pair of Ruger Old Model Vaqueros with serials (non-consecutive) putting them at 1995 and 1999 date of manufacture. Color case hardening is beautiful and the guns shoot great. Smoothest actions I've felt on a Ruger single action. Barrels are 4" and 4 3/4" making them great for Cowboy action shooting. No trades as I am downsizing! Please be willing to meet in Collierville, have ID, and be legally allowed to own a firearm. Thanks for looking! $600 each or $1100 for both.1 point

I’ve been shooting a Model 11 for years and out of the box it will shoot or outshoot anything out there for accuracy. The Tikka has a much smoother action than the Savage though. Either would be a good choice.1 point

It blew my corn over, but I think a lot of it will stand back up once the sun comes out. We had some rain, then some hail, then some wind with more rain. No damage around here that I’m aware of. Just another Nature doing her thing. It sure is nice out today.1 point

A state that's trying to destroy what little industry they have left, their tax payer base is leaving in droves and teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. Even voters in blue states think they're crazy. Newsom don't stand a chance.1 point

Avoid the Democratic party controlled cities - Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga - all have crime rates that continue to soar with more and more tax money paid in entitlements and patronage while infrastructure suffers and homeless camps abound. East Tennessee counties are your best bet with lower taxes, less crime, fewer housing projects and the resulting derelict urban jungles of squalor. You will be welcomed as most Tennesseans enjoy having good people for neighbors.1 point

Looks similar, from what I see, to a Springer I got from my Dad. Korean ar era he said. But the serial number is higher than on yours.1 point

Some more pictures would help, does it have standard GI Sights, and is the slide marked with A1 if so it's the standard basic GI Mod. As stated the NM destination mark means it was finished in the USA. They are good guns, I've had a few SA's and they shot great, they also make a good base gun for a custom build.1 point
