  1. If there is not wailing and gnashing of teeth from the media and usual suspects by now, then I'm betting the shooter does not fit the normal stereotypes, and they just want this story to go away.

  2. Gov Lee's pressure to strip Tennessee citizens of their constitutional rights with his Red Flag law, gets the attention of a 2A supporter in the state of Washington. I appreciate the video's this guy puts out there in YouTube, bringing attention to news around the nation, and explaining things in an easy to understand manner. 5. Now we have better ways to handle these wounds, but they are not in most people's kits, and yes, it would hurt like hell, but the patient normally passes out, so there's that. We have lost a few guys to wounds like this because they are in a place that is very difficult to put pressure on so tourniquets and pressure bandages just don't do it. So they developed methods using Quikclot and Chitogauze which can be put right into the wound channel, but it's manually done so like I said, painful and takes time someone bleeding out may not have. Now we have Xstat, which is a syringe full of compressed sponges that you insert into the wound channel, again painful and must be done right to work. A bit bloody but good to see how it is done in practice (non human).

  7. Natural Selection. I just have a hard time feeling bad for these people. I guess I am a bad person. Glad that at least no one else was hurt.

  9. I don’t think Bearcats are inherently inaccurate, they are just hard to shoot well due to the size. Maybe get some oil up into the action, get some snap caps (or yellow drywall anchors, they’re cheap and fit perfectly) and dry fire it a while to break it in.

  11. Knocked off another State. Just got back from Kansas and Oklahoma. Oklahoma the weather was just brutal. Rained and stormed every day we was there. Kansas however was great. Dad and I both tagged birds. So far I've harvested turkeys in TN (of course), Texas, Michigan, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Florida and now Kansas.

  12. Hello all, Just arrived in TN from the shackles of CA where my wife and I were born and raised. We look forward to all the great things TN has to offer. We enjoy our 5 grandkids, I enjoy playing golf, reloading and of course shooting. Hate to say goodbye to my long hard fought CCW journey but look forward to a much easier one here Until we meet up somewhere... Rick

  21. "Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said the gunman fired three weapons, including an AR-style rifle." So nothing definitive that I have seen other than 3 different weapons and and "AR-Style" rifle which could be anything from a .22LR rimfire to a 12 gauge shotgun.

  25. See my post regarding how I setup alerts to detect fraudulent activity on all my credit cards, my financial institutions and each year I renew the fraud alert to the credit report companies. The key is to activate both text messaging and email alerts for any type of activity. The sooner you can notify yourself to fraudulent activity, the quicker you can contact your credit card company or financial institution to proactively stop as best you can the fraudulent activity. In my case, during three different years they first tested my credit card with a small transaction. Due to my text and email alerts, I contacted the credit card company to avoid the criminal's being able to make more expensive purchases, close the account and send me a new credit card. I have the customer service phone numbers saved in my cell phone for all credit cards and financial institutions in case I am not at home if I receive an activity alert that I did not perform.

  26. my Discover card was stolen about 2 months ago. Thief went to Walmart and charged 900 some dollars, then tried to charge 600 more, that's when I was sent an email. The 600 was declined. A few minutes later they filled up their tank at the Pilot station down the road from Walmart. I never go to that station so I know it was not me. Plus I was sitting on the couch when it happened. They are still investigating but have temporarily credited my account. I filed a police report and they came up with a photo of the culprit. A middle aged white guy wearing a mask, hat and all long sleeves. It will be interesting to see what Discover Card eventually does.

  27. Patience, grasshopper. Weed through the idiots and he shall be rewarded. You May kiss a deal or two along the way, but you’re less likely to get shafted. A big list of stuff replaced is a minus to me; not a plus.

  28. Top end replacements on a 2 stroke are a fairly normal thing, they don't last forever. It does still happen on 4 strokes, but is much less common. If the mileage is relatively low, then its clearly been run hard and put up wet. And yes, dirt frankenbikes are pretty common as well. I think your best bet is to find one that was used as a stepping stone to something bigger. Don't take that as an insult... lots of dirt riders think horsepower is a substitute for skill.

  29. I hope I would be able to run to danger if in that situation. I tell myself that is the plan. I agree that I would have a hard time living with myself if I did not try to stop an attack. But TBH, I don’t know what I will do in the moment. Not having a been a LEO or having a military background, I have never been in a life or death situation like that. So I hope I will act accordingly.

  30. Life is meant to be lived. There are places I can't or won't carry a gun and I'm fine with that. I'm still more likely to die in a car wreck than to be shot to death. At the same time, I respect your decision and right to go armed if you so choose.

  31. I worry it’s not gonna stop. The only thing between peace and anarchy is the moral compass of the citizens. Anyone at any time can perpetrate a massacre like this. Be it with a gun, a knife, a car, a bomb or a plane, it is just “will I or won’t I” decide to kill a bunch of people before I die. We are a nation living in a fear of our own making.

  35. Normalcy bias always amazes me. The person in that car, not the one filming but the only one near the shooter, barely reacted. They could have plowed over the shooter or simply sped off like that truck but instead they just slowly drove forward. I'm really sick of this. Our country is broken.
