  1. I'm still younger than most of you but the older I get the more I appreciate simple things like a nice day. Our spring has been amazing so far this year. I'm not ready for the humidity. These mild temperatures are great. I've been working outside most of the day. Feeling blessed to get to work from home most days.

  2. No doubt it’s been pleasant lately. But am I off thinking it’s been the windiest year ever?

  3. Over the last six months my wonderful wife has had a series of serious sinus infections. The myriad of drugs she has been on affected her as badly as the infections. Over time she also noticed that when the infection started her two back teeth on the top left also would ache. Our PCP sent her to Vanderbilt and an excellent ENT found in a CT scan that something was going on with the teeth. He referred her to an excellent oral surgeon who found there was a serious infection in the gum. The infection in the gums was being broadcast to the sinuses. A massive double infection; one affected the other. Surgery was called for. She had to go through two hours of surgery with the ENT to "clean out" the sinuses. When he finished the oral surgeon then went in for two hours to remove the teeth and repair the gums. Surgery was successful and both surgeons found massive pools of infection in the upper sinus and in the gums. If the infection made it to the brain I would have lost my wife. A week past surgery my wife is doing great and post surgical visits with both surgeons show the infection is gone and she is healing well. (Just getting used to chewing without two less teeth.) This has been a scary period for me and for her. I wanted to give thanks to God, extremely caring and COMPETENT doctors, and to my wife for fighting through a difficult time (except through suffering from my cooking!). Just felt the need to share what she has been through, the fear I felt after realizing how bad the infections were, and my gratefulness that she is sitting across from me reading a funny book and laughing because she is feeling better. I invite you to share my thankfulness and my joy. Thank you for reading.

  4. I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt and the breeze is almost chilly but I'm not upset about it. Just about perfect.

  5. And for some people, taking the meds is what makes them easy going, "regular" people, who are perfectly capable of owning and possessing a gun. In some cases, someone might just not take the meds anymore so they can own guns, which could result in their becoming unstable and doing something rash. Thereby, this law would cause the exact thing they think it will prevent.

  12. Hi All! I figure I would introduce myself. Right now I'm getting really excited about doing some competitions like the Tactical Games and the Run N Gun posted in events. These are still a few months out so I need to practice some more. I'm a member over at Montlake Sportsmens Club and they have a Falling Steel matches that I can start out with.

  14. Local weather here keeps talking about how we're running about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Highs in the low to mid- 60s when we should be in the 70s by now. I'll take it!

  18. It is very nice to have an actual spring. We usually go from snow straight into 95 degrees. I have tomato and pepper plants to set out. I’m waiting until tomorrow because it is forecasted to be in the upper 30’s here tonight.

  21. 1994 JM model 336CS in 30/30 win. Beautiful stock on this, pics really don't do justice. Some light freckling on the metal that most 336s seem to have. Not really interested in selling. Would rather trade for 336s in 35 Rem or possibly 45-70.

  25. Does anyone actually think that this will prevent someone from doing something that's already illegal. Our Liberty is systematically disappearing. Our private medical records will also be on a data base that's accessible by groups of people that have no business whatsoever with it. Outrageous

  31. That’s the question ain’t it? How can one be convicted of sex trafficking underage girls to nobody at all?

  32. I agree. The baby eating crap is ridiculous. I would like an explanation about Epstein. Why were he and his wife incarcerated? If they were running an island of underage prostitutes, why have there been no patrons of such business arrested?

  36. From what I read this depends a great deal upon the pharmacist. Once the med is prescribed, required forms must be signed in order for the patient to get prescribed meds. Then the Pharmacist must report to TBI who in turn shuts off the ability for the patient to purchase. This prohibition remains in effect until the pharmacist again files necessary report to release the prohibition. This is unwanted/unnecessary requirements placed on the pharmacists. I see them conforming in order to sell the prescriptions. I see no motivation, requirement or penalty in place in the event the pharmacists do not follow through with the release documentation thus allowing the patient to once again purchase firearms. I see once you are on the no buy list, you will stay on the no buy list. I agree with the above, some people who could benefit from these medications will refuse treatment.

  37. All this will do is cause people that could benefit from said meds to not get them.

  38. The old shows at the Nashville Fairgrounds were great 30 years ago - I remember coming out of those with armloads of goodies. I go to one of the local shows now maybe once a year and keep leaving saying "never again" ..

  39. Well..glad I didn't risk going. Would have been a real problem for me, and a disapointment as well. Like all above, I miss the golden days of real Gun Shows! Where you could find hidden treasures and great guns; good people and some good buys, and could leave thinking...how am I going to explain all this stuff to my wife? I haven't had to do that since roughly 2011-2012.
