I'll watch it just out of curiosity. That is once its on TV. I sure won't pay to see it. I guess Baldwin is stuck. He has to finish this movie because it'll probably be the last one he ever does. At least that's what I hope.3 points

I thought I would share a little win I had today. I went to a LGS here in Knoxville and looked through the discount orphan magazine bin. I found a S&W 1911 8rd for $9, and an original old stock Mini 14 40 rd for $20. I’ve been married 35 years- it’s the little things that keep me going.2 points

To be fair, most professions are like this. Everyone is trying to make as much money as possible with the least amount of work.2 points

Not to mention that most of your psychiatrist are college indoctrinated and anti-gun... Its not a far stretch to think many would abuse their power to push their political Agenda. Yes i could be wrong.... No easy path... But Any tool we give the Gov to limit our freedoms.. They will certainly abuse it .2 points

I grin just looking at my firearms, each and every one. Yes it is a different grin than when I look at my wife, my kids or my grand daughter. Grand daughter is a lot bigger kind of grin.2 points

Thanks MacGyver-didn't realize the tolerances were that tight! I took it to Knives N' More in Huntsville, AL and showed the owner the knife. He said "What the Heck?" as the knife failed to close fully immediately, and then offered to took a look at it and disassembled the Infidel. Turns out rails that hold the knife inside the handle had screws so loose they were out, so he put locktite on them and tightened them and said to let it set overnight. The owner thought it might have been the machine that puts locktite on the screws ran dry as he didn't think anyone assembling the knife would have just not put locktite on as he didn't see any placed by the factory. Great customer service, I will let you guys know how it works after tomorrow morning when the locktite sets.2 points

I picked up a windshield for mine the other day. I was sort of worried these bags would be too much weight on the rear, but the wife and I put over 500 miles on it in the last 3 days, and I can't tell the bags are back there. It was her first trip on a bike. Except for not being able to take everything we own, she seemed to enjoy the ride.2 points

$1300 Great piece, super accurate, I was really drawn to all the sharp lines on the gun, but alas, I rarely shoot anything other than my Staccato. Comes with 2 mags. Would be interested in trading on a lever gun (preferably in a large caliber), Prodigy, pump shot gun plus cash, or maybe a semi-magnum rifle, preferably something like a 300 PRC or 280 AI.1 point

Mine is pretty good in most ways. She's young and up to date on modern stuff, and seems to know a lot for a younger person. Great personality and spends enough time with me usually, but I still have to write down topics/issues I want to address as she's busy enough that when she's done she's done and leaves the room. She also like to prescribe meds maybe a little more than I like. I'm wanting to retire soon, so i want to start getting OFF some meds, not get on more. Even with insurance, some of then get expensive with higher co-pays.1 point

My Dr. has the personality of a tree stump and wants to see how many pills he can prescribe. I'd swap, but I have no idea who else would be better.1 point

I owned one for a long time, it had an aftermarket 9mm barrel with it as well. Most of the time I shot 9mm through it. There were some neat things about the pistol like the takedown process, roller lock, and the hot 7.62 cartridge. But ultimately with the drying-up of cheap 7.62, it didn't make much sense to have it around as a mediocre 9mm. The firing pins were rumored to be fragile and dry firing was discouraged.1 point

Well, I've done all I can do with this gun. I removed the magazine disconnect, trimmed the sear lever spring a little and did some light polishing on the sear and hammer. Best I could do was get the trigger pull down to right at 7 lbs. But it is smooth, crisp, consistent and much better than it was. It really feels much better than it actually measures on the scale. I'm thinking it will get even better with use. Only time will tell. Much to my chagrin, I've discovered that the C&S safety lever will not work in this gun. It seems that the stud that actually blocks the sear is just a tad smaller on the Girsan and the C&S lever won't go through the hole in the frame. Also the detent position is slightly different. When in the off position the C&S lever sticks up just enough to block the slide. While I'm not real happy with the factory lever, I can live with it. Ok, so its not a Browning. But for half the price, Its still a good gun. I'm happy with it. Of course its raining today and forecast calls for rain pretty much all next week. I have no idea when I'll get to the range to test it out. But a range report is coming. Stand by.1 point

Sir, I’ve never met you, but judging solely from your posts, I believe you are a good man. Judging from personal experiences, I also believe you are a unicorn in the healthcare industry.1 point

Garufa, you are correct. I have about 55 minutes with a client once a week. The first session is an intake session in which I have to take an extensive history. The next week's second session is where we determine what the client wants to accomplish in therapy and a treatment plan is created. Moving forward with the client, depending on their need, we will meet weekly or bi-weekly for that 50-55 minute session that focuses on whatever issue, concern, worry, etc. that the client brings with them when they walk in the door based on their treatment plan. By the time I join a client in their anxiety, fear, depression, confusion, joy, etc., and help them reach some sense of assisting with their struggles, the "treatment hour" is over. Secondly, well trained therapists allow the client to set the agenda for the discussion. I can honestly say that I have never walked into a session with an agenda about any issue that "I think the client needs to hear." Google "client centered therapy" for more information. A competent therapist never "indoctrinates", tells you what to do or think, or has a predetermined agenda. A long time client thanked me for my efforts and keeping the focus on his issues. He stated, "You have always helped me with 'my stuff' and been there for me." That's my goal in helping someone. If the correct focus is on the client there is no time for the therapist to push "their stuff."1 point

I’ve been riding to work nearly every day for over a month. Managed to avoid the rain. I got here this morning at 8 am and there was rain predicted at around 1 am. Now it’s moved to about 11:30 pm which is right before I leave to go home. Looks like I’m getting wet tonight…1 point

BULLSH!T Just because the trigger was replaced doesn't make the gun more likely to misfire. In all likelihood the trigger was replaced because it was misfiring. I doubt a gun rental company would have incompetent gunsmiths working on their guns. Unless physically broken, that still doesn't dismiss the fact that the trigger has to be pulled all the way back to get past the half cock notch on the hammer. The FBI determined that the gun was in perfect operating order. Once again the rich and famous get away with murder. At least we have the satisfaction of knowing his career is dead as a hammer.1 point

Mental distress and illness is not a political matter. It affects people regardless of ideology. I would hope that those professionals who have to deal with it on a daily basis are not subject to inane beliefs or subscribe to the leanings of the day.1 point

As long as the MSM are giving the details you will always see the other side. I will bet my last dollar you could get 1000 pro 2A folks and just one anti A2 person in front of a MSM camera. The only story that will be on the tube will be the one anti 2A person. As far as "Why no counter protest" well I have to work, I have yet to find a group that will fund any one for a Pro 2A protest. As well the MSM will show us as "Gun loving nuts".1 point

Any of y’all can call me. Anytime. I’ve lost too many people that I care deeply about. Some here. Way too soon. There are a whole lot of reasons for that - and there aren’t any easy answers. It sucks. But the heart of the matter is if you need someone to listen, or someone to yell at, or someone to cry with - I’ll be there. Anytime.1 point

This may not be the answer for everyone, but the Pastor at our church is an excellent counselor. I trust him fully and he'd be the first person I reached out to. Bonus: his son is our Asst. Pastor and he's finishing up his Psychology degree for this exact reason. Our church believes strongly in helping with mental health.1 point
