  1. Something that has occurred to me that most people may not consider. I have a fairly large collection. Some of which are considered rare collectibles and quite valuable. If I were to get "Red Flagged" and my guns taken, do you really think they would treat my guns as the valuables they are? Nope! They'd throw them into piles and boxes and haul them away like so much trash. Then only to be thrown in some evidence room/ locker, neglected and allowed to rust. Then say I win my case and my guns are returned. The scratches and damage to them will considerably affect their value. Will I have any recourse to sue the government for this loss? I really doubt it.

  2. “…..should always carry.” nope. Some shouldn’t even own a gun, much less carry it. Everyone should be interested in their own protection and take some precautions and have some level of training with their preferred method. But I’ll never tell someone that they don’t do enough because they don’t carry.

  4. I called my State Senator Steve Sutherland's office & left a message with the person who answer's his calls. I told him what I was calling about, gave him my number if the Senator wanted to talk about this. An hour later Senator Sutherland called me & assured me he did not support this garbage Lee proposed. Big thumbs up for Senator Sutherland!!

  5. In my experience, the comp on the macro really helped it return back to zero pretty quick. Still has that snappy feel but its a small gun. All small guns will have that snappy feel. Was thinking about getting the tacops without the comp but after shooting it, I'm going for the macro.

  8. Well said!! Funny how they try to ramrod their agenda down our throat with a razor thin majority, but in TN when their opponents have a super majority like 75% of the seats, they claim democracy isn't being served and cry about it being unfair that they can't get their way.

  15. I think that part of the problem is that our judicial system is WAY too easy on people who break gun laws. If the penalties for illegal use of a firearm were enforced to the full extent of the law I think there would be less of this kind of thing. Right now one can get away with lying on a 4470 (Hunter Biden springs to mind!), and criminals get away with very minor punishments. Perhaps if being caught with an illegal firearm landed the criminal in jail for a significant amount of time there would be fewer people engaging in illegal carry. (I'm thinking of those who are prohibited from possessing a firearm, either under-age or those with criminal records.) The penalty for having a firearm during the commission of a crime should require serious time in prison, and for actually using one in a criminal manner should send the criminal away for many years. Maybe the Alabama BD party shooter will fall into none of the categories I just mentioned, but I'm for taking drastic measures against CRIMINALS (not law-abiding gun owners) when they use a gun wrongly.

  16. That's the Holy Grail of gun banners. Electronic controls on all guns so that the government can shut it down! About as smart as putting combination locks on fire extinguishers.

  17. Well, I'll say this, no matter if she ran her mouth, called them racial slurs, or whatever, it does not mean she needed a beatdown from three assailants. I am definitely not in the shape I once was, and if one or more try and give me a beatdown, someone is not walking away. I am armed, and if I become incapacitated, they will then be armed if they are not armed already, so I will not allow myself to become incapacitated if I can help it. I have this attitude because I know I will not be the aggressor in that kind of situation, I am not one to start fights, and will walk away if I can. So there is no chance I will be involved in a drunken brawl, specially because I am armed most times.

  23. red flag law. sounds like the same BS Hitler prob used in his heyday.Unfortunately most don't know about that, they're busy fighting over beer can labels. You want to talk about doors getting kicked in, this is the closest thing to making it perfectly legal.Imagine if all the mommies basement dwellers had a list of owners to call in on, and just made #### up... like scorned women in a divorce... cant make this bs up...

  26. You'll use the screws that came with the Holosun. Only one of the three options will work. Go ahead and unscrew the 507K. Don't put the EPS on it yet. With the optic off, test fit the new screws FINGER tightening only. Don't even use a torx driver. Just see which pair threads into the holes on the slide. I wish I could give you a more accurate answer than that. I'm running the EPS Carry on my Macro using Holosun's screws, so I know it's one of the three sets.

  27. If your plan is that you are staying in Pigeon Forge, I would recommend traveling Dollywood Ln that runs into Upper Middle Creek Road (by the Golf course), stay on Upper Middle Creek road until the end, turn right onto Birds Creek road, stay on Birds Creek road it will eventually bring you to a 3 way stop, stay left/straight on Buckhorn road which brings you to 321 East of Gatlinburg, turn left on 321 follow signs to Interstate 40. This route should avoid all traffic, even in the Summer, and from Pigeon Forge you are < 1 hour drive. The roads are all paved, and well kept. Sounds like a lot, but its not. Spent my first 32 years living in Sevierville. Both my mother and father were originally from there. Still have lots of family there. When I camp at Greenbrier Island in Pittman Center (east of Gatlinburg), I take 40 to exit 440. It takes you to 321 and to Gatlinburg, never traffic and its a 2 lane highway on the busiest of holidays. 321 dumps you out in downtown Gatlinburg. I think from 40 to Gatlinburg is 25 minutes, just watch your speed, Pittman Center is a very small town but has ticket happy police.

  28. When I get a kidney infection my doctor tells me to drink Cranberry juice instead of water so I always have 3 or 4 bottles of the juice in the house with 1 in the fridge. I don't know that it will help but it can't hurt if you have to drink something.....JMHO

  34. It was a birthday party. Should have been a fun time. But it appears that an argument started and somebody decided to settle it with a gun. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Sadly, that's the world we live in today. Young people have no value for human life and kill each other for the most trivial of reasons. We have failed as a society.

  35. Well, what does the race of the shooter or victims really matter. Being a town in southern Alabama, the racial makeup of the town is probably close to 50/50 white/black.

  36. I believe that the main issue is there are far to many broken homes with just 1 parent trying to do both jobs or children born out of wedlock. The parent is to busy trying to work and put food on the table and a roof over their heads so discipline is almost non existent. Also to many FEAD BEAT DADS not doing their part also IMO!!

  37. The sentiment that everyone needs to carry is great and all, but the fact is that some people are more likely to harm themselves or others before they use a gun to defend themselves. A certain female in my life no longer carries after her lost gun was found loose in a purse, no holster, loose with several pens rolling around. Said she had too much going on to be concerned about keeping up with a gun. Come to think of it I can't count on both hands the people I know who don't have any business carrying a gun.

  39. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the short barreled I and J frame 22s were referred to as kit guns. Yours is a heavy frame target model. It looks to be a very nice example at that! I do not shoot high velocity ammo in mine. You will simply be amazed at the accuracy and smoothness of the action. It is hard to believe such fine craftsmanship could be had with the machinery available a century ago. I find it comical such a small and dainty revolver was called a heavy frame, but compared to the tiny M frame lady smith also available at the time, it was just that.
