Disgruntled former employee goes nuts and kills a bunch of innocent people. Sad story, but we've heard it before. Mental illness has reached epidemic proportions in this country, but nobody wants to talk about that.5 points

I don't guess I will ever understand why people that are going to commit suicide think they have to killed a bunch of people in the process. If a person wants to off themselves just do it without taking a bunch of people with you!!!.5 points

The media is consistent on one thing. It’s always the gun’s fault, and even though I haven’t even left the house today, it’s MY fault.4 points

Shooter has been named, Normal average looking young man, great education and career path, doesn't appear to fit the mold at first glance. Perhaps he had major anger issues and decided to kill those he felt wronged him at the Bank. ........latest is the creep livestreamed the shooting and his Dad was recently posting anti-gun stuff how we are laughed at in other countries and politicians are cowards on guns bla, bla, bla. Either way Biden, CNN etc, I feel safer in an armed America than unarmed Europe so pound sand! When they say X amount of deadly shootings in US it sounds ridiculously high but.... Many of our States = their Countries is size/population. Violent robbery stabbing deaths and injuries are higher in Europe overall I would guess and the murder rates in Europe overall may be similar or even higher. Not saying we don't have a mass shooting problem here because we do but don't lie and say how wonderful it will be if the law abiding were disarmed. Crazies and Murderers will not follow laws, will buy black market guns or will find other ways.3 points

The responding officers are reporting that they heard what they were certain was rifle rounds. I'm guessing somewhere between the footage we were shown she must've switched firearms. I saw her holding the AR-15 in one clip and the Sub-2000 in another. I doubt she had enough mags for 152 rds from that Kel-Tec. Regardless, it's nutjobs we should focus on, not the tools the nutjobs used, but that probably makes too much sense for anyone but us to accept.3 points

Worth the time to read from Jonathan Turley on Instapundit: APRIL 10, 2023 JONATHAN TURLEY: Democrats Go Nuts in Nashville. “This month, there was an ‘assault on democracy’ in Tennessee. It was not three members halting the legislative process, but rather their expulsion. It appears that nothing says democracy like a bullhorn and obstructing legislative work.” Plus: “The full-throated support for the actions of the expelled legislators is a bizarre position for the Senate president who enforces the same rules in Washington, DC. Yet she was disgusted by sanctioning members who refused to allow their colleagues to continue legislative business because they lacked the votes for a gun control measure. Harris proclaimed ‘it’s about whose voices they were channeling.’ . . . These legislators were upset because they are in the minority and lack sufficient votes to get what they want. They were protesting the democratic process, not advancing its principles in shutting down the floor.” It’s always “democracy” if you’re channeling the voices of Democratic activists; it’s alway “insurrection” if you’re taking the other side. A great, on target assessment I'ma thinkin. leroy.3 points

I thought this had to be a joke. I was wrong. There is also a very recent video of him speaking at a pulpit at what appeared to be a church somewhere, praying to "mother god" and inviting the spirits of deceased ancestors to speak through him. I was nauseated by what I saw, but encouraged that we've got to be closer to Jesus' return than ever before.2 points

The mental aspect is to complicated for the Anti's to wrap their heads around and they think attacking the guns is a much easier target. I had a buddy ask me one time if I have ever thought about suicide and I said HELL NO!!! I love myself to much to do that and would not put that stigma on my family. When I leave this world it will be when the Powers to Be upstairs pulls my number!2 points

If Georgia can be flipped, Tennessee can be flipped if the younger people choose to do so. It may take a few election cycles, but it can be done. There are some too comfortable that this can’t be achieved.2 points

I guess that voice mail he sent his friend the day before made it pretty clear of his intentions. To bad his friend did not get the voice mail in time to alert the police on Sunday so they could have been ready for him today.2 points

Looking to make some room and possibly make some trades. I have gotten most of these thru tgo and figured I would give you guys first dibs. PSA AR 15 in 5.56. 90 rounds thru the lower and bolt carrier, replaced the barrel a few months ago, so the barrel is brand spanking new 1/8 twist. I added the psa polished trigger day one and splurged on the asc-l stock and have no regrets (all my rifles have the stock or the bigger version). Will come with the Sig Romeo 5. I can throw in five combat tan mags for a little extra. $680 for the rifle and red dot. PSA daggers. They are pretty good gen 3 Glock 19 clones, but my P07's have spoiled me. The black has an extra barrel and around 400 rounds thru it and I never shot the desert tan one. They came with one mag each, but I went and got 11 extra mags. Might be 12, I think I lost one somewhere (I have found out, I hate, and I do mean HATE reloading mags at the range). I would like to sell them both or I can split them up. The blank one will come with 7 mags and the desert tan will come with 6 (7 if I can find the possibly missing one). Asking $730 for everything. Both daggers are gone Kimber lw .45acp. It's actually a really nice pistol and I have put around 200 rounds with a single issue (it was the mag, not the Kimber). I tried replacing the grips with wooden ones and ended up stripping one bushing when taking the grips out (aluminum frames are notorious for that) so I went and got a oversized bushing and tap kit. Replaced the bushing, added lock tight and she's back to being wonderful. Really hate to see her go but I crave a different 1911 now (will come with tap and extra bushings). $700 Tisas 1911 9mm. Pretty simple with ambidextrous safety. Shots good, looks good and isn't expensive. Made by armscore and armscore makes my guilty pleasure, the rock islands. So asking $400 Sold Would like to trade the Kimber for another Kimber in 9mm or a Springfield garrison or ronin in 9mm1 point

I just got an alert about an active shooter in downtown Louisville KY. Multiple casualties reported, and KY State Police says to stay out of downtown. What is going on with this world we live in now, god this is insane. Every time this happens we as responsible gun owners pay the price. Prayers for all involved in this situation, and I hope they gun down the person responsible.1 point

Yet! Well, I hope one does NOT do that to you, but there are numerous reports of Olights injuring their owners, catching fire while charging, etc. If you want to roll those dice, I hope that the odds are always in your favor.1 point

I think she may have used the AR15 to shoot her was in through the doors and swapped to the sub-2000 once inside. And may have went back to the AR when confronted by police. We will never know for sure as they will only share bits and pieces of what they know.1 point

Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! Washington state passed the law stopping anyone else from buying one but that does not address the 1,000's the the people already own. That is going to be the issue in every state. They have no idea how many are in gun safes all across the country. I figure their next move is going to go after any and all ammo for them. The Gal-boy that shot up the school in Nashville was using assault style weapon but fired a pistol caliber round was what I heard? I may be wrong!!!1 point

That was my ride as a teenager in S Florida! Yamaha 650 special, same color/year. I sure felt cool tooling around on it. Recently got back into riding after many decades and am enjoying my Honda cmx500 on these twisty country roads around Cookeville and Sparta but sure miss that Yamaha.1 point

Surefire is Latin for: "Too ***** expensive for what it actually does". Fenix fan here. I bought a PD35 2014 model when it was first released. I've dropped it, submerged it, it fell out of my wrangler once doing 45mph. 2023 and it's still kicking. Got a PD36 this past Christmas. It's solid as well. Since I have rechargeable batteries for both, i just use them till they die (which isn't often) and swap out while the other charges.1 point

The Nashville Hot at Publix is legit. Not the hottest but fantastic flavor. The will do wings, tenders or a 8 piece in hot if you ask them. Will get a couple of 8 pieces in hot and put it in the fridge. Heat it up in the air fryer and it is great.1 point

This subject was raised a few months back and I was educated and corrected by more knowledgeable members here on the law regarding it. You only need the correct form if you were going to transfer it In a title II status. Removing the stock and replacing it in a brace returns into a title I status and means that you can travel across state lines with it freely. An SBR is only treated as an SBR when it is configured as an SBR. Changing the configuration changes the way it is treated under the law.1 point

If it's the local black bears you're worried about, bear spray is a way better choice than a handgun. It's highly effective against them and you'll almost certainly never need it. Black bears are very rarely aggressive towards people. something like 60'ish people killed in the past 100+ years by them. If it's western Grizzlies, bear spray backed up by the biggest hand cannon (.500 or .454 Casull come to mind) I can manage and a paid up life insurance policy would be the way I'd go. For the 2-legged critters, carry what you always carry. An axe murderer on a trail is the same as an axe murderer in town.1 point
