  1. If she had just stayed in town after visiting the families of The Covenant School, she wouldn't have to come back so quickly. Oh... wait.

  2. Back to the school shooting; TBI Director David Rausch stated: "the review so far of the material finds that the killer did not write about specific political, religious or social issues. In fact, a primary focus in the journals is on idolizing those who committed prior school shootings." 3. I noticed in the video that the men were the ones waving arms, shouting and being disruptive. Johnson was just kinda standing there looking stupid. I believe that's what saved her butt. Of course the haters will never accept that.

  4. It is all the Nation sees now, Johnson stepped out of the chamber at the end of her vote and told the newies she was kept because of race. So that is the fact now, true or not. Is the driver of a get-away car judged guilty of murder if the robber he ferried kills the attendant of the Stop and Rob? She broke the House rules and I have been told she was the one who brought the bull horn into the chamber. She played the other two, all of us and got off, but relates it to race. Tennessee looks like bunch of toothless rubes, between our Lt. Gov. and our witless House Republicans who can not stay on task. It should give pause to everyone in the future when the Speaker of the House, titular head of the party there, tosses his hat in the ring for governor in '26.

  5. Anyone who is curious about why the white lady was not also thrown out can do 30 seconds of research and conclude that she was apparently not as belligerent as the other two and picked up a few votes as a result. But rather than pay attention to any facts, racebaiters bend the story to fit their narrative. SSDD

  6. Everything I'm seeing in the news is making this about gun control and how the "3" are being punished for supporting it. Not one mention of disrupting, disrespecting or disregarding the House Chamber rules or proper procedures. MSM is making these idiots out to be the heroes. [edit] I live in Shelby County. I just sent my County Commissioner an e-mail saying straight up to NOT even consider putting Pearson back in the Legislature. We don't need idiots like that in our government. Speak up folks! Tell your legislators how you feel.

  16. Well aren’t things just getting special out there! I want to say more. At this point I’m actually percolating & frothing at the mouth a bit. Sometimes there is just not enough asterisks and redactions available for me to express myself. Remember the 1A? Wasn’t the 2A supposed to help protect even that to a degree? They manufacture division for personal gain. They take away face to face fellowship & sharing. They lock us behind screens to have non-private conversations where they can further control any narrative, perception of truth, or true liberty. Anybody else tired of this yet?

  20. I've always wondered if that is true . . . There is a very wet common area behind my house and about once a year snappers come out and into my yard. A very large snapping turtle - shell was 24" L and 12" W - somehow "rolled" down the hill and was on his back but stuck between two rocks (literally a rock and a hard place). His neck reach was LONG. It took a little time to get him turned over and headed home.

  21. For those who care, here is the current makeup of the Tennessee State House as of today: 75 Republicans 22 Democrats 2 vacancies. One Memphis ( Shelby), 1 Nashville ( Davidson ). I project the two vacancies will be replaced with the ousted children just as some here have opened. That makes for a 75R/24D state house. Effectively the same as it wuz. There has been a seismic shift in Tennessee politics since about 2008, all caused by the shenanigans of the Democrat party in general. I well remember when TN was a reliably New Deal, moderate Democrat state at the state n federal level. Frank Clement, Ned McWhorter were good examples. Today, the inner city is the only strongholds of the Democrat party in Tennessee. 2 seats.. Knoxville district 15 and 90... ( 90 is G. Johnson's seat ). 1 seat... Chattanooga... District 28.. 12 seats... Nashville ( Davidson county ) district 52 vacant. 19 seats... Memphis ( Shelby county )... 1 seat vacant. The democrats have been decimated in Tennessee, except for the usual spots. Knoxville due to UT and the historic east Knoxville black community. Nashville and Davidson county due to the usual suspects. Memphis and Shelby county due to the old political machine dating back to the 1800s. I wouldn't be too worried about a comeback of the Democratic Party in Tennessee at the state level anytime soon. leroy..

  24. btq... The fact that these three instigated a a mini riot within the Tennessee State House chamber knowing full well it was at the least trespassing, and at its worst an attempted mass intimidation provided the monaker " thug "... All three of these " legislators " know that. Had they been outside, I would pass it off as a " political act "... You do the " political act " thing outside the state House chambers. You debate and legislate inside. As to the " legislators chosen by their communities " thing; it looks ta me like they may have made a mistake in judgement as to who to send. The time to " give voice to the minority opinion " was during the debate before the vote and before the " demonstration "... They well knew that. AS to " words meaning things "; you bet they do. Actions are even more powerful... I'm generally no fan of polititians of any flavor, no matter whether local, state, or federal. This time they accidentally almost did the right thing. If they had have got Gloria Johnson, they would've hit a " Grand Slam ". It simply doesn't matter what anyone outside the state of Tennessee thinks. They can bark n howl, nothing more. This is a state matter. leroy...

  25. Brothers n Sisters... I'ma doubting the booting of these two thugs means anything in the big theme of things. The state legislature was well within their rights to do this under the Tennessee State Constitution. They sent a powerful message to all by expelling these idiots. The message is clear; " cause trouble, get sacked "... The news is all over this because it is, in fact, a bold, decisive, move by the TN State legislature. They love trouble and hate the Red States anyway. The only thing I think that could have been done better, was to round up and charge the miscreants that participated in this clown show event and to have booted that damnable Gloria Johnson as well. She has been causing trouble in Knoxville for a good while. The great Demorat, Lindon B Johnson, the last Demorat I ever liked had a saying:. " If ya want ta get along... Go along "... These three opportunistic pieces of trash were standing on the new made graves of six people, and using thuggery to push a political agenda. They didn't go along, they tried to use the " bully, mayhem, and intimidation " approach. This was basically an opportunistic temper tantrum because their pet legislation wasn't passed. No one should care about em. They are a minority in a majority opposition party state. They can never become the majority with stupid antics like this. I could care less what happens to this trash. Neither should you. The media squalling about the " mean Tennessee State Polititians" destroying " democracy " and unleashes " despotism " is the usual over the caterwauling. Don't worry about it. non worrying leroy...

  27. Have been a connoisseur of Princes in Nashville the place that started it all about thirty years for me. After many trips and talking with owner She told me the trick is using the best spice mix and that it is quite expensive to purchase and cooking at a high heat so it goes all the way through. I have tried most of the local places and was not impressed except for Hattie B's which is just OK. I seen it last week in the hot deli at Publix and asked the Mgr if it was any good,of course they said yes and handed me a sample. I tried it and it was fantastic, not your KFC pour on a bunch of Texas Pete. Went back got half a pound. I would rate it right up there with Prince's. It is warm and stays with you about ten minutes but not screaming hot.it is about like Prince's mild or Hattie B's medium. Said they have it about two days a week. I mostly cut it up for topping on a salad or in pasta dishes.

  28. Can't recommend a specific dealer but I had a Carolina Carport put in a few years ago and have been happy with it. I paid extra for the heavy duty model with extra bracing and tie downs, suppose to have a longer guarantee, I'd have to check the paperwork. You can by as little or as much as you want and pick the size and hight. I got 3 sides enclosed but you can pay extra for garage doors and windows. Takes a little lead time but they show with a crew and have it up in a few hours on the site you have prepared.

  30. So this 28 year old gal-boy has stumped some of the most brilliant minds in law enforcement. Maybe if they would release her ramblings she wrote to the American people someone might be able to see something that the brilliant minds cannot and put some logic to her ramblings. There is a chance that the smart people might be using technical logic that is hiding what they are looking for.....JMHO

  39. Those young men won in the end. Now they have a national spotlight and the Tennessee house looks like a bunch of racist. When are people going to realize these millennials are built different ?Humongous win! Also no one in the house disputed their claims that they weren’t allowed to speak in chamber and routinely had the microphone turned off on them. Keep watching, this isn’t the win you think it is. Some of the large corporations in Tennessee will have the house on its knees before the year is over. The action yesterday was not well thought out at all. Especially since the GOP already had a supermajority. Censure would have been the thinking man’s move, but they had to use the stick.

  46. For my defensive shotgun being familiar with and enjoying AK47s, I went with the Saiga-12 about 17 years ago. Simple, easy to maintain, shoots any 12 ga. ammo and works like an AK. At fifty yards, slugs hit COM reliably with the iron sights. It could be tricked out I suppose, but I see no need to do so. I'm not a camo tactical guy, just someone who's seen what a 12 gauge can do in the right hands. I don't think the Saiga -12 is available anymore. I see there are some other AK types, but I have no experience with them. Since no one is getting into my home without my knowledge, I keep the 5-shot mag in, empty chamber. Easy to rack in the dark. Extra mags at hand.

  47. East of the Mississippi, the worst 4-legged critters you will face are Black Bears and wild dogs. The .357 revolver is good for both of those as well as the two-legged variety of nuisance. Practice with a speedloader and you will be surprised how quickly you can have another six rounds in action. I've long said that there is no more versatile handgun than a 4-6" barrel .357 revolver. Plinking and target practice with cheap .38 reloads, or hunting anything up to deer with heavy 158gr hollowpoints. The .357 does it all. For Black Bears and wild dogs, the hot 125gr HP loads will do just fine. For that matter, they are proven to work well on the 2-legged wild things, too!
