Beautiful Remington Speedmaster 552 22lr. Appears to be the BDL with the upgraded stock and forearm. It’s is immaculate especially for being around a while. You can tell she’s a safe queen. I haven’t shot it since I’ve had it. Nice vintage Bushnell scope. It’s for sale or trade. Must be legal to own a firearm. $650 Text is fastest. 615-504-14912 points

So, obviously its complete and utter BS that you would get punished for someone breaking into your property... that's absurd. However.. I did hear the news report that something like 167 firearms were stolen from cars in Nashville in January. ONE FLIPPIN MONTH! So while I don't agree with it IN THE SLIGHTEST, I do kinda see WHY they would create a bill like this. Maybe assuming that the law abiding folks will do as they are told and, by proxy, not arm the criminal goon squad. However again... that's like making a woman wear a burka because, she might accidentally tempt a man. So we're back at "screw this bill".2 points

“Sig Sauer p320 Carry” I put that in quotes, because the only thing that is still OEM Sig is the FCU and the mags. Has a complete Grey Ghost Precision upper including night sights and a Wilson Combat grip module. It comes with 4 mags 3-15 rd 1-17 rd and the oem grip shell that has been stippled. Also has a IWB holster. $800 OBO for all in Nashville area.1 point

I've had a desire for a CCO-style 1911 in the back of my mind for a long time, but it wasn't like a pressing need so I never really looked into getting one. Cut to last month when I decided I'd treat myself to something for my birthday, only to discover that my Right Now options were either a used Dan Wesson on gunbroker or an Ed Brown for $lol. There were also a few stock photo ads on GB for these Fusion pistols, which I wasn't familiar with at the time. I guess the guy who used to run Dan Wesson left and started his own company making 1911 parts and eventually whole guns. I wasn't going to take a chance on a gunbroker ad with a single manufacturer-provided photo, luckily a local shop offered them for order on their version of that sales website every other gun store seems to use. The Good: The pistol comes in a big nylon range bag with one mag, a bushing tool, and an extra (lighter?) recoil spring. Inside the big bag, the pistol is wrapped in a plastic bag covered in more oil than I've used to fry chicken. Build quality is great, very solid. Slide to frame fit is tight but very slick with no binding, the thumb safety has a very tactile click to engage/disengage but isn't difficult to do either direction, it just feels good. The frame and slide both are milled out of steel so it's pretty heavy for a smaller gun which helps tame the mighty 9mm recoil. The front strap is also sharply checkered and the trigger guard slightly undercut which are a nice touch for what is ultimately an inexpensive brand. Fusion builds these with Series 70 internals so no firing pin safety. The trigger is pretty good; little to no noticeable takeup, crisp break, short reset. My cheapo digital trigger guage measured a pretty consistent ~4lbs right out of the box. I'll take it. This was the first 50 rounds I put through it after I cleaned all the shipping oil out of it. See if you can spot which hole is from me being surprised by the light trigger and sending the first shot prematurely The Bad: This thing refuses to feed any type of hollowpoint. It has a non ramped barrel, and even if it will strip the first round from a full mag the next will get hung up. I've tried multiple different types of magazines including some that were recommended with a built in "feed ramp" (really just a little lip on the front to help guide the round) and multiple different ammo brands all to no avail. Ball ammo hasn't given me any problems over a couple hundred rounds but defensive ammo is a no go, which is kind of an issue for what was intended to be a carry gun. I've got an assortment of recoil springs to swap out, in a day or two I should have a magazine catch delivered that will seat the mags a little higher than standard, and I'm going to have to try the Wilson mags everybody raves about. After that, it's going back to the factory. Final Thoughts: For ~$800, this is a pretty good range gun. Accurate, low felt recoil, good trigger. Want a defensive gun? Save up for something better.1 point

I had one of these a few years ago. The lightweight Scandium frame makes this much easier to carry than steel framed 1911's. Also the bobtail frame is much easier to conceal. These are well built 1911's IMHO.1 point

I think they're smart about the mag compatibility. There have been a number of PCCs/handfuns I've ignored because my mags wouldn't work in the new version. The Scorpion being the prime example. Why on earth are the new mags backwards compatible with older models and not visa versa. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's hard as hell to sell old magazines to recoup for buying a new set. *Edit* phone turned handguns into handfuns... But I kinda like it, so the typo will stay.1 point

Thanks Snaveba. Watched that and 4 other video reviews last night. Leaning towards purchasing one after it's been out awhile and getting feedback from owners rather than just reviewers. His gripe about the mag release is a training issue. And on the safety, leave it off when folding the FCP if it's a problem for you as an extra deployment step. He did that once without mentioning it.1 point

BigK, Why? They cut the cable and stole the entire lockbox rather than taking the time to pry it open at the vehicle. Note to self: I do have a lockbox in the car. It's a good idea to take a picture of it cabled in place to prove it's existence should the car ever get broken into and a firearm stolen.1 point

I'm still quite fond my my XDS 45 too. It's a lot of fun to shoot as well. There's just something very satisfying about this little gun that shoots that big ol .45acp.1 point

P220 Carry. It's similar to a commander 1911 size version of the P220. Mine has been super reliable with all types of projectile profiles and types. P229 sized slide with P220 lower. Fits P229 holsters. DA/SA has become far less popular in recent years but I still like them. It's similar to having a stick shift car. If you know how to drive, it's good. I like 45s. The original Springfield XDS 45 post recall is another I still like. Before the GRIP ZONE. This is another 45 that's been an absolute omnivore when it comes to ammo. I got it back in the G43 days when the 9mm capacity advantage was only 1 more round and the XDS was similar in size to the G43. XDS came with decent sights stock. Both of the P220 carry and XDS above run reliably dirty. 45 ACP isn't popular anymore because of projectile tech advancements. The question I always ask everyone who preaches 9mm is: how many cases of premium JHP rounds do you have on hand? If the answer is one 20 round box, I'd take the 45. FMJ to FMJ the 45 will be the winner for me. For the record, I like all calibers but I feel like this unpopular opinion is often overlooked in the echo chamber. Also, +1 for the Ruger P series, cool workhorse guns.1 point

Smith & Wesson Model 66-1 PPC (JARVIS) Price reduced: This is a custom built revolver using a Smith & Wesson model 66-1 frame and cylinder. This was built by the Jarvis custom company about 2003. Installed is a 6 inch Jarvis barrel. This gun will group 2 inches or less at 50 yards, it has an approximately 7 lb. double action trigger. Also it has an Aristocrat Tri Set Competition Sight Rib, The unique 3-position action cam offers precise range selection using both elevation and windage. This is a precision revolver tunned to shoot .38 special ammunition. This gun works flawlessly. I will include 100 rounds of Precession Delta 38 special wadcutters. This gun is just fun to shoot. Thanks for looking1 point

I have one of these exact pistols and I feel your pain. I went through the ringer getting mine to run properly but now it runs 100%. Here is what I did: 1. Buy quality magazines, mine are Nighthawk. 2. Take a soft polishing bob and lightly polish the feed ramp area. Make sure it is light. Do not remove any material or change the geometry of the ramp. 3. Shoot the piss out of it. Mine really started running good after 500-600 rounds. Hope this is helpful. Jon1 point

I am using the NRA classification system of antiques. I would categorize this as between good and very good since it doesn't have any replacement parts. For argument's sake, we will call it good. Winchester Model 1890 takedown chambered in 22 long. Serial number dates to 1904 manufacture. This makes a model 2. 24" Octagon barrel in good overall condition and still fires (although I have not done so in years). Slide action works great but could use good lubrication. I'm happy to provide additional pictures, or come on down and see it face-to-face. It is located in Mount Juliet. Withdrawn Thank you, and God Bless.1 point

Well, if f I could rid myself of the lever gun itch, I would buy a CZ PCR. That is the next pistol on my list.1 point

I’ve never really seen the point of buying a tiny concealable auto and then bulking it out with extended grips, or far worse IMO, pinky extensions. Maybe if that was your only gun and you had to make it comfortable for range sessions or weren’t going to carry it, but most of us have multiple pistols and are buying these subcompacts to do subcompact things. Makes more sense to carry an extra capacity mag as your reload.1 point

Some of the guns mentioned are a little like Legos for grown ups. The 365 is designed to take the FCU and change grip modules/slides to fit your desired size/need. The P320 has grip modules and an FCU for the same reasons. Most glocks now come with backstraps to adjust the size of the grip to fit your hand. I bought the non-pro Hellcat because I could put an extended magazine in it but couldn't chop the 15 round pro down at will. I can use the flush fit 11 round if I pocket carry and a 15 round if I am going to put it on my belt but still print a lot less than my 19 with a red dot and weapon light. But it is the same gun. My time spent shooting that weapon both from a reliability and from instinct for the controls, sight picture, etc. carries over from pocket to belt. A lot of people will use multiple guns from the same manufacturer for a similar effect. Grip sleeves and pinky extensions just allow customizing the grip like the backstraps. I have seen people remove some of the finger groves from a Gen 3 glock but not all of them to better fit their hands. Looked really weird but good for them. As for the full capacity reloads, you could argue most will never need a reload, but if I am going to carry an extra magazine, say with my Hellcat. Why on earth would I carry an extra 11 round instead of a 15? If I have shot my gun and felt the need to reload then it is probably not going back in my pocket and I doubt I am concerned about concealing it from that point forward.1 point

I carry a 1st gen S&w Shield. Out of the box I thought the grip was uncomfortable and kinda slick. I put a Hogue Handall on it and loved the way it felt. It’s been on there for years and I wouldn’t shoot it without it! I agree that the extended mags don’t always look great. I’ll say that, for me at least, the little bit of extra traction I get from the longer 8rd mag does help control the gun. Is it absolutely necessary? No, but it makes a noticeable difference and doesn’t add more than a half inch or so to the overall length.1 point

Disagree with Glocks or any other striker-fired handgun being considered double-action. Lazy gun magazine scribes tried to force striker-fired handguns to fit into that box an finally gave up and resorted to calling them Striker Fired to distinguish them from SA and DA handguns. I understand where you are coming from, but it was messy back in the day when the industry tried calling them that and thankfully most folks moved past it. Then of course there are the companies that tried using the term "Safe Action" and just confused it further. Striker-fired actions are a variation on Double Action Only if you choose to look at it that way, but they lack two of the resets that are hallmarks of DAO. But hey, look at the bright side: We can add this to the things that folks can debate ad-nauseum, like: 1911 vs Glock 1911 vs Anything Glock vs Anything 9mm vs 45ACP Toilet Paper: Over or Under1 point

I like that the P320 is modular. So I'd pick it. I've owned a few M&P's. Never had an issue with them. You can't really go wrong either way. I'm going to say the Sig will sale better later if you ever decide you don't want it.1 point
