This has been one of my dream guns for the longest time. Closest I ever got were the series of MSAR STG E4's I had over the years. The MSAR's were great, but I had always wanted a Steyr. Since Steyr started importing them again a while back and prices have dropped some, I was able to pick one up. Who needs an SBR or braces when you can have a bullpup! I did get a little sacrilegious and went with the NATO stock, but that is because I had an abundance of AR mags. Since I was already familiar with the platform I knew what I wanted to add so ... it got the 20/20 Sear, Corvus QD takedown pin, Ratworx TR-1A fore rail, Ratworx Hybrid bolt, and a Corvus brass deflector. I added a Magpul/ADM QD bipod, foregrip, and Strike Cloak FH with a Strike Oppressor (for indoor ranges). Haven't been able to make it to the range yet and I am still experimenting with optics. I'll either use a Holosun 510C with a flip to the side 5x magnifier or a PA SLx 1-6x24 ACSS. The pics below have a Burris AR223, that I was using as a placeholder. The Bi-pod is for the range. I also have a Wilderness Tactical Giles sling that works great with this gun. Now all I need is that full size Uzi B and my 80's movie dream gun collection will be made! With the SI Oppressor: without the SI Oppressor:4 points

Hello my fellow Americans. As I sit here watching the news with my wife and hearing about even more (spy) balloons being sighted: I find myself pondering just how high my M-82 could sling an API round. LOL! Seriously I would worry about where the round landed too much. I am a lifelong native to my beloved east TN mountains and even own a few. Having my own range, game, miles of private trails with all of the nature and freedom any one man could want- I find myself going against my isolationist nature & reaching out to hopefully likeminded people in this fine organization that I have heard so many good rumblings about. Here’s to friendship, original intent, and our wonderful flag held up by our constitution.2 points

Sold For sale is my Norico Mak90 7.62x39. I have forgotten more than I knew about this rifle but if you have question please ask. I have replaced all the original "sporter" stock and handguard with beautiful Iron Wood Design furniture. It is milled with a slant cut receiver. Bore is bright with strong rifling. I have never shot this gun. All parts that I can see have matching serial numbers. Includes 3x10 round mags. Additional 30rd mags and ammo available at very reasonable price with purchase of gun. I'm asking $1675 OBO but online prices are all over the place and most still have the original Sporter furniture which is also included with purchase. So if you feel the price is out of line, please feel free to make a reasonable offer. Please message for offers, questions or additional pictures. $1675 OBO FTF in the Hermitage/Mount Juliet area.2 points

We have a mutual defense agreement. When people talk about our country having spent more than the next 9 countries combined... that is because we are spending to defend a lot of other countries too.2 points

The NRA is useless. When 500 million is spent on lawyers and PR firms to keep Wayne and the Board out of jail, and not on programs, it's over. I stopped paying membership over 10 years ago. Don't count on the current NRA to do anything except CYA, and personally, I like to see it dissolve and the crooks criminally charged. It's beyond repair.2 points

I will be posting the basis of a letter that needs to be sent to every Senator, it speaks to their duty and the fact we all know what they swear to God to do, but fail on most accounts. I appreciate your efforts and words, next week will be very important.2 points

While gun ownership has exploded over the past 5 years, the NRA lost 1 million members just in 2018. For those interested in the shenanigans of the NRA president and board, here's a video that explains the situation from Jim Shepherd. Jim Shepherd on the NRA 20201 point

As the General Assembly moves forward, the strangle hold of those who live to deny the rights and privileges contained in the Constitutions of the State and Union are about their sinister work. Failure to stand up and be heard is the sustenance that feeds that monster. Those of us who portend to be supporters of the 2nd Amendment spend hours typing and snipping at each other on forums, yet how many actually avail themselves of the Opportunities to act on their charge to "instruct their representatives" as levied in Article 1 Section 23 of our State Constitution? The Senate has mandated that every 2nd Amendment bill be heard in Judiciary March 7th. This mandated by Chairman Gardenhire, (who by the way will again this year, champion and sponsor the attempt to give the children of illegals a huge tax break via offering them in-state tuition to our colleges and universities). It is his desire to General Sub (kill) as many 2nd Amendment issues as possible by this tactic. Know full well that the House will have trouble getting these bills moving in the respective committees in that chamber by that time and the "will" of the Senate is to consider nothing that is not moving in the House when it is put on notice in the Senate. If there is not an outcry of disapproval from the true masters of government (The People) they will once again shred the ability to enjoy the true rights and privileges contained in our Constitutions, but that of the State and Union, we have no one to blame but ourselves. If you snooze, you loose. If an issue is killed this year, it is dead next as well.1 point

Sir, I cannot find the words to show my appreciation for all the efforts you’ve put into furthering our gun rights in Tennessee. I suck at expressing myself, so please do not take offense at my attempt. I am only speaking for myself, but may well resemble other members here…maybe not. I despise politicians. I probably cannot communicate directly with politicians without incurring legal troubles. I vote regularly. That’s about all I know I can legally do. I understand you know more things we can legally do to help persuade our elected officials. I would appreciate instruction or suggestions as to what we should be doing to help. I expect others would as well. It isn’t that we won’t help, it’s that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, and we really just don’t know what to do. I sure hope you take from this post what I meant to convey.1 point

I'm either older or from a more depressed area, I only got 2 cents for pop bottles and $1/yard. When I got big enough I bailed hay for a $1/hour and a great farmers wife lunch.1 point

That bothers me; that’s obscene. No gun rights group should be spending money on a building like that. If they have money like that, they need to be investing it in local elections and local laws.1 point

I think the time is right for GOA to try and put the NRA out of business by saying in a campaign, "give us your membership dollars, and as we reach the NRA's membership levels, we'll wield that power more responsibly both politically and fiscally". Clearly the NRA didn't prioritize the money they raised to be effective as a gun rights organization, they needed it to fund cronyism and lifestyle perks. I very much believe under the right leadership with built in oversight and transparency from the beginning, GOA can reach the same level of political clout the NRA uses as their only legit defense. From there, they money will come in from the industry, and they can fund the safety and range standard programs the non-legislative wing of the NRA does pretty well (I admit to not know if/how GOA may already try to do this). Yes, it will be a public and brutal fight as the NRA will not go gentle into that good night. But for the next few generations of gun rights, I'm willing to trade some short term disharmony to have the group politicians actually do business with hold values a better aligned to the core of gun ownership is supposed to be about (hint: it ain't hunting and sports).1 point

Answer the phone and tell them you're not giving until Wayne is gone and the bylaws are amended. They'll stop calling after hearing that a couple of times.1 point

Hahahahaha. As if this is even a real question. If that’s unclear I’ll give you a hint. When the NRA calls me and asks for money or “Direction for the next year, please pick one of these four options”, I tell them I will gladly support them and donate to them when they become a pro-gun organization again. That really confuses them and the caller typically asks “What?”.1 point
