  3. Okay, @Moped You made me get off my bum and snap a few shots. Finish looks fantastic beneath the goo. Right now, it's so caked that none of the controls are operable. Came with two nice looking mags, a genuine commie cleaning brush and an RGuns decal, all in a stylish white cardboard presentation case. (Wait here. I'll be back with pics. I have to go delete other images so I don't exceed the 12 kilobytes of space the forum allows me... )

  4. Just another stupid law taking away freedoms. I'm sorry but if my vehicle is locked (all my vehicles are locked, even in my driveway, 100% of the time), and someone breaks into it, how does that make me a criminal? How does adding something else to lock a firearm or ammunition up in help? Anything can be broken into. Let's put the blame where it belongs. We cannot idiot or criminal proof everything. Geez, off to write more letters to my representatives.

  5. That is one hell of a concept, we all need to write our representatives.

  6. I read in several places that those balloons operate at very low pressure. Plus the altitude and materials are a major factor. It don't just pop like a regular toy balloon. It was stated that you could shoot a hundred 20MM holes in it and the helium would still bleed off so slowly that it could take days for it to come down and you'd never be able to predict where.

  8. From the article . . . emphasis mine Because when you're tangling with a mountain lion a plain old Judge just won't do. You need to show him you mean business with "presentation-grade wood grips, a brushed hand-applied satin-stainless steel finish".

  9. I run Rexing dash cams in all my vehicles. Can wifi footage to my phone. I run a Garmin (syncs to my GPS and phone) and also a Kenwood (syncs to my flat panel radio) in my motorhome. Monitoring front and rear. All cameras have the largest, high quality, SD card they can run. Being in insurance I cannot stress how important it is to have some type of proof in accident situations. The number of innocent people left holding the bag just might startle you.

  11. You could shoot it in USPSA Limited division. but it's currently offered only in 9mm, which is a significant scoring handicap vs .40 guns in Limited. Single actions aren't allowed in USPSA Carry Optics division. It's too heavy for IDPA without seriously milling the slide to make weight. Other shooting games, I have no idea.

  12. that is essentially the current law now when storing a firearm on school grounds. No different than leaving a wallet, cell phone, or purse in plain view.....simply stupid to do so. Also noted that a law last year increased the penalty for stealing a firearm.

  13. Well I have been tazed numerous times where I worked if you wanted to carry you had to know what it was like Good policy. Except I had rank. and people enjoyed shooting me way to much lol We where issued a axon x2 it worked on a battery and compressed nitrogen it delivered 50.000 watts 2. shot probes 180 foot per second it was a two shot had a warning arc you can hear that stoped a lot of aggression. it was painful it had a safety and a laser a good American made brand made in AZ Scottsdale note does not work well in rain can be a issue and a person padded up probe has to make contact axon makes tazers for the general public good company to deal with not cheap but when it’s your life it’s a bargain did I mention it’s painful most people don’t realize how effective it is

  14. At first glance, I don't see any blemishes. Much nicer finish than the CZ82 I just got from Centerfire. Import mark on the side of the frame kinda sucks, but at least it's small and almost "blends in". I have to go do my homework to learn disassembly and assembly, manual of arms, etc. Maybe by the spring thaw, I'll have it ready for a test run....

  15. Yeah , l know what you mean on being choosy. I got plenty of different powder for it , but wanted some for higher FPS. So I got some Longshot , hadn’t used any of it before.

  16. One step they could implement that would help reduce the number of firearms that would be left in vehicles is if they made it legal for people to carry their firearms and ammunition with them into stores, work, hotels, etc... Add that to any letter to your representatives. Their own rules are helping to exacerbate the problem, not that we don't see that everyday.

  17. No. It's still in a commie grease cocoon under my table. I'm in the midst of a job transition and other things are "deprioritized" until I get resettled. Maybe I'll drag the whole gooey mess into the sunlight and get a few pics. Usually those still in the cosmoline are very nice once cleaned up.

  18. Hi. I just went thru this the contractor that built my home used flat paint through the house. Paint in bathroom looked bad because of moisture and steam had a professional painter come out he immediately said they used flat. Sanded and Repainted same color but used semi gloss that’s the solution it worked for me

  22. Thanks CMDR! I have owned and still own many Glocks. I have looked at and bought many other brands but just can’t find anything that works better. Was once told they are the AK47 of the handgun world and I must agree. Mine also has night sights and tlr6 light/laser. May look at trigger upgrade one day but very happy with it.

  23. I'd get it from you but I had a bad experience with Jack Daniel's when I was about 17yrs old and I'm afraid if I bought this they would come back to haunt me. (We won't get into that discussion) GLWS nice looking sign. Free bump

  25. Bumping this back up to help get some eyes on it as I'm also curious what is a good, simple to use dash camera. It's getting crazy out there. Everyone wants to mess with their phone, not drive a car properly. My word & a camera would be a lot better witness to the truth than the old he-said/she-said scenario. I'm glad you are okay @billyblazes . Sorry about your vehicle damage though.

  26. Doug, I’m so glad that you listened to the excellent advice on the 43x. I had the opportunity to meet and spend a little time getting to know Gaston shortly after he released the 19 as a “compact” carry class down from the 17. I remember marveling at that 15 round wonder gun from day one and like so many others was fascinated by how a polymer engineer could completely reimagine a semiautomatic handgun with so many fewer parts. I relayed this story to my wife when shield came out with their 15 round mags for the 43x and in that same 24 hours- gifted my mother with my 43 not looking back. I have the shield mag release of course, along with tritium sights and a flush fit underbarrel laser. I sometimes sit my old glock 19 next to the modded 43x and just marvel at how something perfect can always still be improved upon. All of that power now fits in my cargo pants pocket-without issue.

  27. My opinion for what it's worth, is that if you're going to buy into the rather shaky rationale behind the .45 / 410 revolver, you should at least stick with a decent manufacturer. Full disclosure, I do have a previously-owned S&W Governor somewhere in the safe that has been to the range one time.

  32. I'm tired of Beth Dutton and all the memes saying Rip is a real man because he supports his woman no matter what. If Rip were real and had a two digit IQ, he would drop that unstable b*tch like a bad habit. I didn't even start GOT until after it had ended. It just seemed too Dungeons-and-Dragonsish to me. I finally watched the first season and was surprised. I then decided to read the books to figure out exactly who was who. Ha! And I thought the show had a lot going on. After reading all five books, I went back to the show and loved it. I once heard someone ask, "What fictional character would you like to have dinner with?" No brainer - Tyrion Lannister.

  35. Here are some shows that we recently binged that were pretty good Yellowstone 1883 - One season is all there will be. This plays like a long movie. Tulsa King Dead to Me - The last season gets funky due to Christina Applegate health issues. Just accept it and enjoy it anyway. After Life The Terminal List Ted Lasso Ghosts - The US version. Stoopid and silly, but fun Severance - You'll either love it or hate it. Definitely a weird ride Alone - Good reality show about people being left alone to survive in wilderness. Last person standing wins $$ Justified - Older show, but it was great. Might go back and rewatch the whole thing.

  36. For me, the problem with Longmire is that we're supposed to believe this tiny town in Wyoming has a higher murder rate than Chicago. It's basically Law and Order cowboy edition. The characters are likeable though. It's not a bad show to pass the time but I tapped out after a few seasons.

  37. Supposedly it was discovered over Alaska, which is 2.5x the size of Texas and has a smaller population than Shelby County. I'll bet a suitable area to shoot it down over Alaska could have been quickly identified. Biden claims he wasn't notified about the balloon until several days later and wanted it shot down immediately, but was apparently vetoed. Assuming he is telling the truth and assuming he is actually in charge, Biden should have some DoD heads on a platter. China made the US look like incompetent idiots, and they are probably not finished.

  38. Well, I'll spin the wheel. I'm going to submit any lower originally purchased through an FFL as pistol lower, with brace, for a free stamp. My lowers purchased as stripped lowers will remain pistols. I'm going the paper route, I ordered and received my Form 1s from the ATF so the most it will cost is the fingerprint ink I ordered, and postage to send them in.

  39. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my wife for buying me my M-82 last year. It was a lifelong dream going back to the movie Navy Seals and apparently in it’s last hour of what it was- a true American Icon. I always respected Ronnie and what he contributed to the world and what he stands for. I can’t help but feel this is the end of an era.

  41. No experience with that gun. But I do own a couple of .32s. Nice little cartridge. Very easy to shoot and quite accurate. I think its highly under rated as a defensive round. If you do your part, it will get the job done.
