If I tickle my grandson while asking him to be still, he will not comply with my verbal commands no matter how many times I demand him to do so. So, how on God's green Earth could anyone expect a grown man to put his hands behind his back while he's being punched and kicked. EVERYONE will involuntarily guard their torso/face instead of exposing themselves to further pain. Saying Tyre Nichols would still be alive if he hadn't resisted isn't accurate in this case anyway, these cops intended to beat his @$$ from the beginning.5 points

So, I had this surplus German 7.62 ammo for years now, leftovers from when I had a FAL and a PTR. But after debating about another ptr or going the AR 10 route, I can firmly say I regret going the ar10 route. Man, this thing weights a ton. Shoots well though. Now I just need to find a good optic for it. BCA BC 10. 18in barrel. I replaced the trigger, grip and stock day one (why? Because I wanted to). I will probably replace the stock again.3 points

Why am I reminded of this quote from Atlas Shrugged: Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.3 points

I quit 25 minutes in when he made blatant misrepresentations regarding what has been said by the police department and prosecutors regarding the reason for the arrest. There is a vast chasm between “we just don’t know why he was pulled over“ and “the officers’ reports claimed it was reckless driving, but we can find no evidence to support that.“ Especially when it is already known that many facts within the reports were falsified. I have actually purchased and read his book and do enjoy his insights when he is on other peoples shows. He does not prove to be very watchable when it is his show to run. Fun fact, he was banned from here during the Zimmerman trial for his huckster routine. He thought he was special and exempt from the hard line rules around here regarding professional advertisement. All of that to say, would it be possible for you to provide a BLUF summary of his main thesis on why he maintains the officers are not legally incorrect?3 points

I used to be a big fan of cops. Donated money when they called. Not any more. My experience with them was bad. I had a detective that was determined to ruin my life because I had and attorney and refused to talk to her without him there. Good thing for me my reputation was to much to over come for her. I have a real problem with them being allowed to lie to the very people they are supposed to work for. More and more vids are coming out about how they treat people, bully many and lie almost all the time. I think they are counting on people not knowing the laws or their rights and just assume what they say is true. I believe there needs to be reform in a way that holds people with that much power accountable. These guys getting fired and charged with murder is a good start but a long way to go.3 points

For consideration is a Mossberg 500 pistol grip corncob forend Gun is used works as it should. Some one put a hole in forend I guess for a sling otherwise normal wear shoots up to a 3 inch. Barrel 18 and a half would make a good truck gun or house defense meet in Loudon West Knoxville area FTF 240.002 points

Made a couple of big (for me) gun purchases lately so figure I'll throw this one out here to see if anyone wants it more than I would like to keep it. Beretta 92 Volunteer edition. I bought this gun new and it is unfired since I had it. (I assume they still factory test fire them) It has been on a display stand in my living room, handled and the slide racked maybe a dozen times since I've had it. Beautiful gun with the special grips and engraving. Plenty of info on them via the Google so won't go into the specs or details. There is a minor imperfection near the takedown lever. Tried to get a picture of it the best I could. Not sure what it is but was there from the factory. (4th picture) Feel free to PM me with any questions. $1,000 takes her home. SPM on 2/42 points

He had a composite of two body cam feeds and the eye in the sky. At times he brought up a full screen or even zoomed in view of the eye in the sky pole mounted camera to review a specific strike. I believe they were videos 2, 3, and 4 as released by MPD. He did not show video one which was the initial stop and taser use by the first officer. In a strict legal interpretation he is probably not wrong. That will mean just about nothing when it goes to court though when additional evidence is made available and the lawyers on both sides get to spinning the facts.2 points

BLUF (as I interpreted his analysis) is that LEO have the privilege of use of force in conducting a legal arrest. The legal use of force level allowed is determined by the actions of the person being arrested and the crimes for which they are being arrested. In other words non lethal force is justified and warranted to affect an arrest if that person is resisting (not submitting to be handcuffed). Non lethal force does include the use of OC, the use of strikes with the hand and feet to non vital areas such as the arms, legs or torso in an effort to gain control of the individual, the use of tasers, and even the use of batons to non critical areas like arms and legs. Lethal force is only warranted/justified if there is a direct threat to the life and safety of the officers or civilians/bystanders. He made a clear legal distinction that lethal force is not force that results in the death of the individual but force that could reasonably be considered to cause grave bodily harm or death. Striking a person in the head with a baton is lethal force while striking a person in the leg or arm with a baton is not, if it is done in the course of a legal arrest. He also made sure to point out numerous times that the 5 individual officers are all to be considered on their own individual actions. One or more officer may have misused lethal force while one or more officers may have been using justified non lethal force and are not responsible for the lethal force actions of a fellow officer. In this case he claims that one officer may be in very real jeopardy on the murder charge due to his kicks to the head. The other significant strikes that were conducted by other officers are not clear enough to be determined as lethal or non lethal. For example the baton swings while visible are masked to the camera by another officer. Where they land is not clearly visible and it appeared the him that they were aimed or angled toward the arm. Same goes for other kicks made later by officers that arrived later. Where he was kicked later is not clearly visible while those first two kicks were unobstructed and clearly landed on the head. He is making a very direct legal analysis with the 3 source videos he reviewed. He does clearly state that if other angles or views not available at this time shows evidence of where those baton strikes or kicks landed his analysis would have to change.2 points

I made it through the video analysis but man that guy is a Huckster. Nearly an hour to get to the actual video clip analysis and then he stops, pauses, switches around, or talks over the clips. After all that he ends it with a paid question and answer session and additional huckster work for his classes and memberships. Tough to get through that nearly 2 hour exercise.2 points

He goes so far as to say he isn’t watching video 1 because we assume the arrest was legal. He says cops don’t just go around arresting people for no reason. It simply doesn’t happen. His reasoning.1 point

Beautiful specimen. Mine, along with everyone I’ve ever seen for sale had the back of the grip chipped off from dropping. Those grips are worth $200 all day. GLWS1 point

I attempted to watch that trash yesterday, but stopped for my own sanity. I did read many of the comments and from the samplings I read, many concluded the video was a bad take. I wanted to read more comments today, but they are not showing up for some reason.1 point

I posted this elsewhere and got good feedback from others ordering these so figured I would post this here as well: ---------------------------------- I began looking for another handle for the blades the Havalon Piranta uses to keep a spare handy for when the blade loses its edge while field dressing. Not wishing to spend the same amount on one I took a chance on this one for $10.94. Yes, it's Chinese made, but I have to say, I like it. It's solid, and unlike the Havalon has some heft to it. It came with a different profile blade, like a 70A, which I prefer, but I don't think they are as sharp as the ones that come with the Havalon, but I bought it for the handle so that's ok, and I purchased 70A blades for the Piranta anyway. Swiss+Tech Folding Skinning Knife with Liner Lock While the body of the Piranta is plastic, this one is aluminum and textured to give it a little grip but an all plastic one is available too. The locking mechanism is identical, which works just about the same way of course. The belt clip is larger, but it doesn't get in the way or affect the grip IMO.1 point

Great shooting gun, don't really want to sell, but looking to fund another project. Taylor and Co. From what I understand, they take Rock Island guns, and trick them out a little bit. This has G10 grips, extended ambi controls, and a full length guide rod that does not require any special tools for takedown. I think I have 2 or 300 rounds through this gun, all flawless, not a single hiccup. Comes with 2 10 round mags. $4501 point

With certain provisions, it would be a real crime deterrent to the mass of crimes that are never solved and stop thugs dead in their tracks. Until is passes, no one should however, act on property crimes using deadly force.1 point

Chuck makes a valid point. One of the major sticking points with EVs is the batteries. Obtaining the raw materials, manufacture, and mainly disposal of used batteries is an ecological nightmare. In the end, EVs may well cause more problems than they cure. Then there's the cost. Its cheaper to scrap an electric vehicle than it is to replace the batteries. The technology just isn't there yet. I'm sure it is coming. Someday in the relatively near future people will point and laugh at the old "fuel burners" still left on the road. But we're still a long ways from there. The current pressure from specialized groups and government is only adding to the problem. We just aren't ready yet. Hopefully there are people working on and perfecting things like new batteries, Hydrogen Fuel Cells or maybe even Doc Brown's Flux Capacitor who will make a real breakthrough. Until then, EVs are just aren't practical.1 point

I've had a hybrid (Ford CMax) and it was an "ok" car, only problem was it would go into the "deep sleep" mode if you did not drive at least 2-3x's/week. The 40mpg was the good thing, fairly comfy, but on trips over 2 hrs, the seats became uncomfortable for me. A hybrid as my primary vehicle is a possibility, but not a 100% EV. Hopefully the goobermint will not go much further in their BS about EV's as the grid cannot support them, and the general public in general cannot afford them.1 point
-
It's like everything else the government does. They put the cart before the horse!!! California is going to try and force people to buy EV's and they can't even charge all the ones people already own. They have passed laws preventing semi trucks made before the year 2008 from entering the state to deliver goods and services and creating shortages of many goods to stores for consumers!!!!!!!1 point

He moved to my city here in Clarksville and did 3 reviews of 3 of my friends cars. He knows his stuff. He's like me and sticks with Japanses vehicles. American vehicles are built to SELL. Japanese vehicles are built to LAST. The old straight 6 Ford engines from the 70s to 80s was an exception. They would run dang near forever .1 point

The Greenies push EVs, the politicians grab the hot topic and neither can understand that we just don't have the technology or the infrastructure to make it work. The fantasy far outweighs the facts.1 point

I've got 2 a T3x Lite in .30-06 & a T3 Superlight Hunter in 6.5x55. I honestly believe they're the best rifle you can possibly buy, under a grand. The action is like oiled glass, the trigger is spectacular & you will not find a more accurate, out of the box rifle anywhere. With the advent of prefit barrels, they're a brilliant base action for a custom build, although aftermarket stock makers are lagging behind. I think a lot of folks are maybe a bit offput by them being a 'budget' gun, being that they're Sako's cheaper option, but they're every bit as good a a model 85.1 point
