The big problem with this kind of advice is that after you acquiesce, you're still a witness to a felony. Are you willing to bet your life that the felon won't decide to eliminate witnesses? Horrifying Security Camera Footage Shows Robber ‘Executed’ A ‘Very Gracious’ Store Clerk: Police | The Daily Wire And who knows? Maybe the poor Brentwood couple was just as compliant and non-threatening as this store clerk. There are plenty of videos online showing people in cars resisting criminal vermin; some with guns, some with hands, and some with their vehicles themselves. Running over a criminal miscreant can be an extremely effective deterrent. You rammed your garage door running over the robber? Well, you're still alive to call for repairs. I have no inside information into this Brentwood event, and perhaps there really was no recourse other than to submit to the killers. But planning to surrender, which is what this "expert" is advising, seems like a really poor choice to me. Saddened, Whisper4 points

*adjusts tinfoil hat* Getting in and out without trace likely isnt that difficult, but you can’t use it. If the information is dumped out into the public then you don’t have to get a warrant to collect it. *Puts tinfoil away* I’m half joking as you’re correct that it is unlikely that they’d have an especially robust infrastructure. At the same time my default assumption is that government agencies are always up to nefarious behavior. The government is always guilty until proven innocent.3 points

Your car is only a coffin if allow it to be. With the proper application of force to the steering wheel and accelerator, it’s both an effective means of escape and a multi-thousand pound weapon.3 points

I'm interested in shooting this pistol - and it's great to see RIA doing some innovation as opposed to just rolling with their 1911 tooling. Full disclosure though - I think they may have stolen my design. They've basically built a pistol that shares the same profile of the guns that I regularly cut out of construction paper in kindergarten.2 points

I watched a video review last night on this pistol and the more I see of it, the more I like it. The action just moves like butter. The reviewer (Sootch) also owns a Hudson and made several comparisons. Here's the link to the video and you may enjoy it if you've not seen it before.2 points

Neighbors have these 2 crooks on Ring Doorbell video walking about the area and casing the neighborhood. Crooks cursing looking for pray. What happened to me when I walked to the mailbox that morning. These two victims just happened to arrive home at the wrong time. Me I was caught too far from my home, with a bum knee coupled with lost mobility, and the punks took advantage of my situation. Guys, I don't walk to the mailbox anymore. I will say having the gun saved my bacon that morning. I sure could have been severely beaten like my neighbor was, by 3 druggies cursing looking for easy prey.2 points

From the article. “Under the majority’s rule, the defendant wins by default whenever the government fails to prove that a statute unambiguously criminalizes the defendant’s conduct,” Higginson wrote. yessir. That’s the way it should work.2 points

This is a great point. We had to epic playoff games back to back. The entertainment value of NYE was amazing. The whole college season was a resounding success as well. It was a bit disappointing to anyone not a Georgia fan because the championship wasn't good TV, but that was a blip otherwise phenomenal season we should appreciate.1 point

looks pretty cool. I assume the pistol was designed for competitive shooting or maybe home defense. I do wonder how well it will work if it was dirty or sandy because of the number of close tolerances between the barrel and slide, and slide and frame.1 point

going to second the Bergara B14 HMR. might be a bit overkill for 400 yds and in shooting but a solid shooter for sure.1 point

Walt, on the bottom photo look at the top right of the corner, there is a tiny box to check that says "This Side Up". Be sure that is checked and not the box in the lower left corner that says, "This Side Up". GLWS (Or I bumped your post)1 point

I’ve never really seen the point of buying a tiny concealable auto and then bulking it out with extended grips, or far worse IMO, pinky extensions. Maybe if that was your only gun and you had to make it comfortable for range sessions or weren’t going to carry it, but most of us have multiple pistols and are buying these subcompacts to do subcompact things. Makes more sense to carry an extra capacity mag as your reload.1 point

without more details, impossible to address actions and reactions. A reasonably safe way to enter a garage is with an automatic opener, staying in your locked car, and closing the door behind your car with the opener as you sit in your locked car. Still one is vulnerable to attack with a gun pointed at you waiting for the door to open or close. Not everyone has an automatic opener. Elderly couples may have additional handicaps. No one is invincable.1 point

I bought a Hudson H9 and liked it. I bought an Arsenal Strike One and liked it (for the most part). I'll pretty much buy any crazy pistol you put in front of me, if it's well-built and I like the design, so I'm down for this unless I learn something that makes it a no-go. Just from the photos, I don't see much not to like about the RIA.1 point

You have to send money to a member that has been on the site for a long time, like me. So for A dollar 2.98 I can raise your score to 10 if you like. I am sorry, will go to my corner now. Joking aside the score has to do with likes, and feed back from interactions from the sales you get involved in. I do think there are other things involved as well. When I first joined I posted a bad pic and got minus points.1 point

I bid on a Savage Model 10 in .308 this summer and didn’t win. It ended up going for $499 plus fees, etc. https://www.rockislandauction.com/detail/2060/531/savage-model-10-left-handed-bolt-action-rifle-with-box1 point

Here is a Franchi Renaissance. I am the second owner, the original owner stated they didn't shoot it, I did have to clean off the packing grease from it when I purchased it from them and it did indeed look unfired. I have shot 1 round of sporting clays with them putting the round count at about 100. It comes with everything in the photos. It is everything that was with it when I took possession. Price is firm, cash. Trades would be for O/U shotguns in 12G.1 point

That’s the groundwork being laid. Same applying to the FRT. The NFA is squarely in their sights. I truly have hope that the NFA will go away in my lifetime.1 point

I've shot both and have found the CZ82 to be the better pistol in terms of grip, recoil, accuracy, fit and finish, and smoother handling overall. I have two CZ82s and large hands and found the FEG to be too small for me.1 point

I’m a sucker for smallish flashlights! Well I still have a couple d cell mag lights in use, but they’re old and huge. For smaller, I edc carry a streamline penlight, but I have a Olight Warrior on my go bag, a Felix and a LAPG on my bedside table, and several cheap atomics scattered around the house. I know, I know, they’re cheap but they are bright! But, to be back on topic, I really recommend Olight. The Warrior I have is rechargeable and very bright. Lasts a long time too.1 point

Fenix has great customer service. I let my LD41 sit for too long without using it and the batteries leaked ruining the carriage that holds the batteries. I contacted Fenix and tried to buy a new carriage but they sent me a new one for free even though it was my error. I also have an E12 for pocket carry and an LD22. All good lights.1 point

I think there's a lot of old timers (like me) that aren't hunting much anymore, especially long range, which is where the 7mm mag shines. Our gray haired hunters are dwindling while the younger hunters are pretty hyped up on AR platforms and that ever so popular 6.5 Creedmore. If this vintage M77 sells, I bet it'll be a baby boomer who buys it ... or someone who just loves nice walnut stocks and light pencil barrels like me.1 point

I carry a Glock 26 with 15-round mag and an X-grip. Why not carry my Glock 19? It's simple. I shoot the G26 better (point and shoot) than the G19. That's likely because I've fired so many more rounds through the G26 that it's more natural to handle. But I've had other people tell me the same thing; they shoot the G26 better than the G19. I do carry a spare 17-round mag on me at all times... also with an X-grip added. The benefit of being able to "pickup" any double stack Glock 9mm mag is nice in thought, but I seriously doubt I'd ever need it. While it may be trivial, I'd bet the shorter slide of the G26 is marginally faster on the draw. I use leather OWB holsters wet molded to fit each individual firearm. I'm a firm believer in as long as it's reliable and gets the job done, carry whatever you shoot best. As a side note, at longer ranges (well beyond point and shoot ranges) I do better with the IWI Masada (and it's green dot Holosun) than the G26 or G19. That's even after putting a Leupold DeltaPoint Micro red dot on the G26.1 point
