Sounds like a decent guy as it really isn't that hard of job to be honest. I also think you could do it yourself. No better time to learn something new. Even mudding that small amount wouldn't be terrible. The sanding is the worst part.3 points

*adjusts tinfoil hat* Getting in and out without trace likely isnt that difficult, but you can’t use it. If the information is dumped out into the public then you don’t have to get a warrant to collect it. *Puts tinfoil away* I’m half joking as you’re correct that it is unlikely that they’d have an especially robust infrastructure. At the same time my default assumption is that government agencies are always up to nefarious behavior. The government is always guilty until proven innocent.2 points

The big problem with this kind of advice is that after you acquiesce, you're still a witness to a felony. Are you willing to bet your life that the felon won't decide to eliminate witnesses? Horrifying Security Camera Footage Shows Robber ‘Executed’ A ‘Very Gracious’ Store Clerk: Police | The Daily Wire And who knows? Maybe the poor Brentwood couple was just as compliant and non-threatening as this store clerk. There are plenty of videos online showing people in cars resisting criminal vermin; some with guns, some with hands, and some with their vehicles themselves. Running over a criminal miscreant can be an extremely effective deterrent. You rammed your garage door running over the robber? Well, you're still alive to call for repairs. I have no inside information into this Brentwood event, and perhaps there really was no recourse other than to submit to the killers. But planning to surrender, which is what this "expert" is advising, seems like a really poor choice to me. Saddened, Whisper2 points

Oh, I don't think the turnovers would have made a difference in the outcome. But they could have kept the game somewhat close without the turnovers. By halftime, TCU's confidence was shot. Georgia was just the better team.2 points

Oregon put up a LOT of points all season long, but only scored one field goal against UGA in the first game of the season. That defense is solid. Much as it pains me to say so, I now think that Alabama would have done better in the CFP than TCU , Michigan, or OSU. I'm no Alabama fan, but I think they would have played a lot closer to UGA. I'm very pleased that my Washington Huskies finished the year 11-2 with a final ranking of 8. That's the best season they've had since 2016.2 points

If once the area between the floors is cleaner, and if there is a clear run, you might be able to open the hole on the outside of the house just enough to start feeding ridged pipe into the space, using the 2” pvc as a guide. you might even somehow finagle the 90deg onto the end. But that may have to be a hole cut in the basement ceiling. You can2 points

SOLD: Guardian Tactical "Recon-040" OTF Automatic Knife Hey TGO! I am offering up this virtually brand new Guardian Tactical Recon-40 out the front automatic knife and hoping that someone here will give it a new home. More photos follow at the very end of this post. The blade, activation button and pocket clip are finished in a weathered/worn black-wash finish designed to look good over time and hide the normal marks that come from carry and use. Fortunately for you, this knife has only been carried a few times and has never been used to cut anything. The edge on this blade is factory fresh and untouched. It's never seen so much as a strop and hasn't even cut open a single Amazon box. There are a few small "snail trails" on the left-hand side of the handle from where the clip was previously positioned for left-handed carry. I've done my best to show those marks in the photos, but they are only visible from a specific angle and with good lighting. Most folks might overlook them entirely. This knife has a Lifetime Warranty through Guardian Tactical. They warranty it for the life of the knife, not specific to the buyer. Here is what the Internet says about the knife: The Recon-040 is a modern and innovative, full-sized, tactical, double-action, out-the-front automatic. With patented steel thumb slide base and floating blade construction the Recon-040 is smooth and reliable in its operation while having minimal play and a rock solid feel. This version comes with a dark stonewashed, plain, single edge Elmax blade, black handle and matching hardware. Blade: Coming in at 4-inchs plus, the drop point blade sports a razor sharp, hollow grind with plain cutting edge and unsharpened top swedge. The fullers add visual appeal and pair well with the rugged, wear-hiding and non-reflective dark stonewashed finish. The blade operates on an innovative and patented floating mechanism that prevents undue wear on the blade as well as delivering a smooth, drag-free operation. Push the top slide, which rides smoothly on bearings and a non-magnetic stainless steel plate, and the blade deploys and retracts with a decisive action. Handle: Black hard anodized, aircraft grade aluminum houses the blade and automatic mechanism with subtle finger contours and strategic milling on the sides for a solid, secure grip. At over 5.5 inches in length the Recon 040 has plenty of real estate for even the largest of gloved hands. Construction is completed with black Torx hardware, lanyard hole and hardened steel glass breaker pommel end. Carries via a reversible, tip down only pocket clip. Bohler Elmax: Elmax has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. Elmax also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid corrosion (rust) by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Elmax has very similar performance to M390 and is used interchangeably by manufacturers. Specifications Overall Length: 9.75" Blade Length: 4.06" Sharpened Length: 3.81" Blade Thickness: 0.15" Blade Material: Elmax Blade Type: Stainless Closed Length: 5.69" Handle Thickness: 0.55" Handle Material: Aluminum Clip: Stainless Steel Weight: 6.20 oz. Country of Manufacture: United States Terms of Sale Sale price is $325. This includes shipping to the lower 48 US states. Retail price is $389 at GPKnives.com. They have consistently been the cheapest place to buy these but are currently out of stock. If you're in AK or HI, you'll need to talk with me about postage. What you see is what you get. Nothing is hidden or altered in these photos. It is up to you to know and adhere to knife laws in your jurisdiction. Autos are legal to own and carry in Tennessee. Payment needs to be PayPal. As promised, here are more photos. If you click them, you will get a larger version. (^^ These are the snail trails that I mentioned) (^^ The discoloration near the clip here is just oil from the knife and handling.)1 point

Admittedly this is a bit of a rant. Before I get going with this question I want to expressly say: This is not a knock whatsoever if these products or concepts work for you. I'd like to start a discussion on grip extensions in 2022 Question: How many of you run small pistols with grip extensions, grip sleeves and pinky extensions etc? Follow up: If you had the option for a slightly higher capacity flush fit model from day one and got to hold them side by side in the store, would you have picked the smaller model? Examples: P365, Hellcat vs P365XL, P365X, Hellcat Pro Opinion: In 2022 I think grip sleeve extensions make otherwise awesome expensive looking guns, look and feel cheap. Also, If you can't get your whole hand on it, you're at a disadvantage with current options. I know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm happy that in this day and age that we have many stock options out there now to fit different needs. The question is, why design the 10+1 variant first with weird grip sleeve solutions, just to release the normal version after the fact? Wondering if we'll get a Shield Plus Plus or a More Max 9 in the future. All of the guns in question look cool to me with the flush fit form factor and conversely look retrofitted and cheap with their grip sleeves. It's similar to having a direct mount optic vs some gnarly bolt on metal adapter/mounting plate. Example: If you carry this mag setup, wouldn't you rather have this? Same overall footprint, same magazine. The Angles: When I see pictures on social media, retail sites and print magazines of these guns that have grip extensions built into the design, I can't help but notice some obvious, make it look better with the angle photography. Which, hey I get it, make it look as appealing as possible. It reminds me of profile pictures on dating apps. Examples: Reality: Notice the overall footprints and aesthetic when look at it straight on. (pictures of these angles were harder for me to find online.) Function: I understand the idea of having a small magazine in the gun for concealment and a higher capacity backup reload. If this works for you, I completely get it, but do you actually carry an extra full size reload with you daily? Wouldn't it make sense to upgrade to a compact if you thought your chances of running into that much trouble were high? Background: I like the Glock 26/27 form factor. I suspect that the the G26 influences grip sleeve designs on OEMs to this day. The G26 was ahead of its time IMHO at 10+1 with minimal printing. This is the only firearm I've shot in the last 10 years that I thought made sense to me to have the pinky dangling. I shoot these guns well and feel right at home because I shoot mid and full size Glocks regularly. The G26/27 are also cross compatible with most of the parts from their larger counterparts, this is a huge advantage in a pinch. Example: G26 fits G19/G17/G34 Holsters. (This cross compatibility with the larger counterparts is not the case for the modern micros.) Having said that, if I was going to do something like this to myself, I'd rather just run a G19 100% of the time. To each his own. Just food for thought. Rant complete.1 point

I bought a Hudson H9 and liked it. I bought an Arsenal Strike One and liked it (for the most part). I'll pretty much buy any crazy pistol you put in front of me, if it's well-built and I like the design, so I'm down for this unless I learn something that makes it a no-go. Just from the photos, I don't see much not to like about the RIA.1 point

You have to send money to a member that has been on the site for a long time, like me. So for A dollar 2.98 I can raise your score to 10 if you like. I am sorry, will go to my corner now. Joking aside the score has to do with likes, and feed back from interactions from the sales you get involved in. I do think there are other things involved as well. When I first joined I posted a bad pic and got minus points.1 point

I agree. And the last shot almost seems like an afterthought or a spiteful shot. I’m sorry, but you can’t “John Wick” someone and say it was defensive.1 point

all shots after the initial 4 seem unnecessary to me. If he called 911 at that point, we wouldn't have this conversation.1 point

I had a 2nd company out this morning. He actually encouraged me to tackle this myself but he's still going to provide a quote. I think I'm going to open up the ceiling that way I can try to clean out years worth of flammable lint. I can hang new sheetrock but I'm not going to attempt to mud it myself. I know it won't turn out right. The 2nd guy agreed running flex tube(the cheap kind) the whole run is a bad idea. He's going to price it as rigid pipe most of the way.1 point

It does. What a conditional means is that there is something with a flag but they can't verify it. The FFL, without knowing what the flag is for, assumes all legal responsibility for the transfer if they continue with the transaction. The only way to clear it up, is with a lawyer or contact the tbi directly. A lot of times if you wait a few weeks, and run it again it'll clear.1 point

All the people involved left the scene and no one called 911. The defender actually gave the patrons their money back. The defender should have called 911 immediately. I also agree the last shot will probably be deemed overkill and illegal. Feel sorry for the defender in this, however it is Texas. We will see???1 point

It wasn't just turnovers though. Georgia dominated both offensively and defensively. I hate it for TCU. I was pulling for the underdog.1 point

Turnovers absolutely killed them in the first half. Their defense simply couldn't stop Georgia. They picked a really bad night to have a really bad night. They are a much better team than what showed up yesterday.1 point

TCU has very few players who would see the field on Georgia's team. It's a physical mismatch ...1 point

What many fail to realize and is always worth repeating, is you don't shoot to kill - you shoot to stop the threat. Once the threat is stopped, you stop shooting. Never say 'that you shot to kill' as that will be a prosecutor's ace to play at your trial. That will help keep you out of a very difficult position should (and most likely) you are charged with manslaughter at the least, and second degree murder at the worst. The shooter was in a strong legal position until he appeared to fire the coup de grace.1 point

I would personally rip out enough of my basement ceiling to do it right which means venting to the outside. Drywall is easy to repair. It may not look like any mold, etc, but you really don't know until you can see better. Best case, there is nothing. Worst case, you can spray it while the ceiling is open and know it is good for long term.1 point

I agree with crc4 whole heartily. I have read many books, am a member of Armed Citizens Legal Defense Net, and have studied Self Defense quite a bit since starting concealed carry when TN passed the concealed carry law years ago. Bracca and Mas's books are the best and can be ordered from Amazon cheap. I recommend them 100%. Also know one needs to be a member of ACLDN (360-978-5200 call them for a free book "What Every Gun owner needs to know About Self Defense Law," again FREE) or another insurance company of your choosing, for your family's protection. ACLDN is 95.00 per year now for one. You pull that gun and you stand to lose your total future, "seriously." Have had to almost pull my gun to avoid a beating, from 3 "IMO" drugged individuals who, after leaving my yard, drove a few miles (4) from my house, and beat a legally blind man going to his mailbox, just as I was doing. I was 73, just had total knee replacement surgery and was unable to flee from them. His son told me last month his dad never got over the beating and he spent 4 weeks in the hospital but was able to leave only to die 3 weeks later. Sheriff said he died of old age as he was 84, because he got out of the hosp and died at home. This guy, crc4, is giving good advice here guys. Look at what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse, and Goerge, In Florida, who shot and killed Trevon Martin. That can happen to you. Not saying it will but CAN. "Everyone" who pulls a gun, in S D and uses it, your life "Most Times" will never be the same from that day forward. Some are justified, but many arent because they don't know the laws of Self Defense. I agree whole heartily, Educate yourself. Bracca's book, "the Law of Self Defense, and Massad Ayoob's books "In The Gravest Extreme" and "Straight Talk On Armed Defense" all can be purchased on Amazon cheap. Well worth your read. Cost very little to educate yourself on Self Defense guys. "Excellent" Advice crc4. Edited to add; George Zimmerman in Florida shooting. Another good book, "Concealed Carry Class, the ABCs of Self-Defense Tools and Tactics" by Tom Givens. He has had 68 students in shootouts in Memphis with interesting results.1 point

Fair. But for $199 with three mags the P17 is a smoking deal and I'm a big Taurus fan. I found a TX22 yesterday for $250 and didn't get it but may pick it up soon if it's not gone when I go back. The high dollar one ($400 something) doesn't interest me.1 point

Does anyone ever use Gold and Guns out of Weber City? I know I have used Indian Springs Armory for transfers the last while. They just went up again though. It is $20 for the first and now $10 for each additional at the same time (was $5, still says it on the website). I think that they might still be the cheapest close to my work. Nice guys, but I have really not compared their gun pricing. I normally am trying not to buy any more than I am already picking up. lol1 point
