I would personally rip out enough of my basement ceiling to do it right which means venting to the outside. Drywall is easy to repair. It may not look like any mold, etc, but you really don't know until you can see better. Best case, there is nothing. Worst case, you can spray it while the ceiling is open and know it is good for long term.3 points

There were no laws on the books in1791 saying you could not have a silencer/moderator. Per Bruen, if it (law) did not exist at that time, it (law) is not valid.3 points

I sometimes feel like I'm the only one that believes crazy freak liberals and extreme right conservatives should both be able to own machineguns so that they may defend themselves. I've had a few tonight, so there may be one other person. LOL3 points

Ruger PCC Carbine 9mm Great shooting gun. I think I there has been less than a 100 rounds fired though this gun. I have the original box and manual. I have the Glock magazine well in it right but no Glock mags will come with it because I need them for my Glock but I do have the original Ruger magazine well and 10 round magazine. I can leave the Glock magazine well in it or change it out for the Ruger. It will come with both magazine wells. This is the non threaded barrel. $400 615-838-19682 points

I'd be taking a close look at that home inspector. He failed you miserably. He took the money and didn't give you what you were entitled to receive. Call him. Tell him what you've discovered and you're wondering why that wasn't disclosed to you. Then shut-up. Don't say anything else. Just let him reply. Record the conversation. If he doesn't give you satisfaction, contact a lawyer. This is serious on so many levels. This is negligence. But only state what you've found and ask him what he intends to do. No more. Let him do the talking and squirming.2 points

Grandson, and family, hunting ducks again today. Killed 5 this morning. Deer hunting this afternoon on the S Caroling coast near Charleston. Using a Savage Axis 308, 30 30 Marlin 336 lever gun, and 20 Ga Mosberg I gave them. You just gotta love it. I do!2 points

Excellent condition Ridgeline .308 by Christensen Arms w/ 24” barrel. Only 76 total rounds fired. I bought it from another TGO member as a lightweight hunting rifle, fired a few to check groupings and confirm ballistics, never got the chance to hunt this year. It’s a great shooter - 0.6 MOA as seen in the pictures. This is an ultralight rifle weighing only 6.7 lbs. Recoil is surprisingly manageable and is significantly better than my old 20 lbs AR10 .308 rifle. Asking $1300 - located in middle TN2 points

In my opinion, not one bit. No one has time to examine to see if the 'gun' is a real gun. The 'manifest intent' of the robber was clear. That's all that matters here.2 points

New old school! I love it. Actually, would not mind at all to add an A2 and even an A1 to my collection. During Desert Storm. I deployed with a what I'd call a hybrid. It was an A1 with the round A2 handguards and A2 heavy barrel, but with an A1 receiver. When we deployed through Ft. Bragg, they took all our old A1s and repaired and upgraded them. Amazingly enough, they did that in a matter of two or three weeks. I thought that was phenomenal feat considering we were a battalion of 760 personnel!2 points

I agree with crc4 whole heartily. I have read many books, am a member of Armed Citizens Legal Defense Net, and have studied Self Defense quite a bit since starting concealed carry when TN passed the concealed carry law years ago. Bracca and Mas's books are the best and can be ordered from Amazon cheap. I recommend them 100%. Also know one needs to be a member of ACLDN (360-978-5200 call them for a free book "What Every Gun owner needs to know About Self Defense Law," again FREE) or another insurance company of your choosing, for your family's protection. ACLDN is 95.00 per year now for one. You pull that gun and you stand to lose your total future, "seriously." Have had to almost pull my gun to avoid a beating, from 3 "IMO" drugged individuals who, after leaving my yard, drove a few miles (4) from my house, and beat a legally blind man going to his mailbox, just as I was doing. I was 73, just had total knee replacement surgery and was unable to flee from them. His son told me last month his dad never got over the beating and he spent 4 weeks in the hospital but was able to leave only to die 3 weeks later. Sheriff said he died of old age as he was 84, because he got out of the hosp and died at home. This guy, crc4, is giving good advice here guys. Look at what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse, and Goerge, In Florida, who shot and killed Trevon Martin. That can happen to you. Not saying it will but CAN. "Everyone" who pulls a gun, in S D and uses it, your life "Most Times" will never be the same from that day forward. Some are justified, but many arent because they don't know the laws of Self Defense. I agree whole heartily, Educate yourself. Bracca's book, "the Law of Self Defense, and Massad Ayoob's books "In The Gravest Extreme" and "Straight Talk On Armed Defense" all can be purchased on Amazon cheap. Well worth your read. Cost very little to educate yourself on Self Defense guys. "Excellent" Advice crc4. Edited to add; George Zimmerman in Florida shooting. Another good book, "Concealed Carry Class, the ABCs of Self-Defense Tools and Tactics" by Tom Givens. He has had 68 students in shootouts in Memphis with interesting results.2 points

I have an AR chambered in 6.5 Grendel built with what I think are some of the strongest most reliable parts. It has a 22" stainless Criterion barrel with a VG6 Epsilon 6.5 muzzle brake and a Geissele super gas block with a black melanite rifle length gas tube and a Geissele MK8 15" modular rail. It is in Ballistic Advantage enhanced upper and lower just like Aero M4E1 because they are Ballistic was purchased by Aero a few years ago and started offering BA enhanced receivers. Geissele ambidextrous charging handle Seekins oversized bolt catch Geissele SSA-E trigger. It has a Luth-AR rifle stock that is adjustable for comb and length and has a Hogue pistol grip. Just built the exact same rifle in 6mm ARC so I don't really need this anymore. I don't have 50 rounds through this thing yet I feel like I build faster than I can even break them in. Any questions call or text 224-402-4433 I'm in Baxter the scope is a Crimson Trace Series 2 5x25x56 34 mm tube FFP MOA held on with a ADM Recon total package scope and all is $1700.001 point

There are two recent cases of road rage in north Georgia that resulted in fatal shootings. Initially they both appeared justified but later indictments came back and both men are facing murder charges. One case was initially no-billed by the grand jury but the DA took another look and was able file charges again with the grand jury indicating the person the second time. He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of murder. Probably felony murder and malice murder.1 point

I quit wearing watches a couple of decades ago. About three years ago, I started having an hankering for one again. We do a lot of antique and thrift store shopping for my wife's craft business. We happened to be in Bargain Hunters over on Chapman Hwy, not long after and I spotted an Armitron Sport watch that was gray and orange (Great UT colors) for $10. I bought it and have been wearing ever since. No clue how old it is, but after three years, I still haven't replaced the battery!!! I consider it to be a fantastic buy!!!1 point

Anyone have a recommendation for a place that can clean my old Seiko Sports 100? It's been in my desk drawer for years and today I put new batteries in it. It seems to run fine, but the buttons are bit sticky. I'm near Crossville, so would prefer a place near here.1 point

I got my copy of "The Law of Self Defense" by Andrew Branca last week and it has been a very eye-opening read on the laws of self defense. It also dicusses how the legal system works (it isn't meant to work in your favor if you go to trial). As a bonus, it also includes appendices at the back of the book regarding the laws of self defense for all 50 states. I am about 3/4 of the way through and HIGHLY recommend it. I will also be getting Massad Ayoob's book, "Deadly Force" to complement Andrew's book. Knowledge is power and can help keep your butt out of prison if you know and follow the rules.1 point

I'm in the same boat as KahrMan. I've never done one, but aluminum isn't exactly Valerian Steel so I'd think a Dremel with the right guide jig would do just fine.1 point

Hi’ya neighbor. Am just 20 mins up the road from you. No experience with Canik but a fair amount with red dots If you are new to handguns, just get one with the option to mount a red dot later (slide cut). Problem I have with most red dots that come on pistols is that they are cheap ones. Holosun is my fave for carry. Either 507kx2 or 407kx2. Have had both, still have the 407 (6 moa dot works best for me) My Sig p320 came with their Romeo 1 pro which is good. It took three to get one that works 100% though. Vortex Venom is nice but too big and dumb for a carry gun. Dumb as does not have auto on/off. Love the clear window and dot though Great at the range Have tried Crimson Trace and AmeriGlow. Both too cheap to consider for carry...IMO! Have looked at and shot a few others, happiest with Sig Romeo 1 and Holosun. Vortex needs badly to be updated with more features.1 point

Look at monetary policy over the past 14 years and which direction stocks went during that period. Money or debt became been cheaper and cheaper with interest rates going down. Monetary policy has shifted the other direction, everything costs more, and corporate profits will continue to shrink as short term debts and operational lines of credit renew at the higher interest rates. It may take a while to find the bottom, and I'm expecting a bumpy ride in a continued downward direction.1 point

7.62x39 is essentially a 30-30. Taken more game in north America than any other round. The .300 BO only advantage is subsonic. 5.56 is great on small deer and down, but looses on the bigger game. Open range caliber? Not the greatest. Anything under 200 yrds and any brush/cover? x39 As to the 7.62x39 accuracy, Handload a x39 the same as the .300 BO and the ballistics are clear. . The accuracy nonsense is comparing steel cased mil surplus out of an AK/SKS to handloaded match AR 300BO platforms. Also, shoot it out of a .310-.311 barrel instead of a .308. Better range, power, stability, consistency, and reliability. Much of it has to do with the neck of the x39 and the case to handle the appropriate charge that the 300BO /5.56 case can not handle. Pretty good overview https://thebiggamehuntingblog.com/300-blackout-vs-7-62x39/1 point
