It appears that we have the best chance to remove the criminal aspect of carrying a firearm, allowing permitted carry past posted signs, removing rules about carrying in parks and recreational areas, permitted or not that we have had in years. Write your Senator and ask them how they intend to deal with the Bruen decision and your right to carry a loaded firearm in case of confrontation in public. Le them know that you know the SCOTUS incorporated the 2nd Amendment against the States in 2010 and you expect them to act accordingly. I’ve had a Spyderco in that LC200V steel for a decade. It’s my standard saltwater knife and has spent no less than 100 days fully submerged in the saltwater. I run it under the faucet at the end of the day and oil It once a year or so. That blade has gutted hundreds of fish. The blade is as good as it was new. That steel may as well be magic.

I have had my Colt King Cobra for a couple of weeks now and could not have imagined a better snub nose .357 for carrying Yesterday my Kimber K6S came in and I have to say without question it is the finest revolver I have ever handled I will be installing night sights on this gun I changed the stock grips out for the Kimber Combat ones as they fit my hands better This revolver is truly a work of art and needs to be handled to be truly appreciated, the trigger is simply amazing

Actually it is a pair of Airweight Model 38's in satin nickel. They have the Ace laminate wood grips that S&W offered back then. They are 38 specials. I bought 4 of them new probably 25 or 30 years ago. I sold off two of them over the years as I carried them and got them scuffed up. These last two were not carried and stayed new looking so I kept them in my collection.

Is one ever really “enough” ?

In my opinion, it takes less time to learn how to be on the right side of a self-defense act, than to spend 8-16 hours or more deciding which new gun to buy. The concepts aren't difficult, but do require simple knowledge that's easily obtainable. The law is very often not just. It's a system. One prepares for that law system by understanding how that system works. Study of SD justification prepares you by teaching you about that system and how you can best navigate successfully through that system. Merely obtaining some type of SD insurance though isn't enough. One must understand that to be on the right side of the investigation and possible charges, it's necessary to come to the SD situation with 'clean hands.' The clean hands concept is a major component of any SD action, but again is easily learned. Some people (not saying you, sir) believe the TV shows and movies where an innocent man gets saved by dramatic lawyers and the real truth passionately displayed before the jury. Unfortunately, that's not how it works. That's the great importance of having an attorney that understands not only the system, but how to properly present an affirmative defense for any SD action. That's takes an attorney who has trained, prepared for, and has handled such cases in the past. The typical criminal defense attorney is rarely what you need to stay out of jail. I've said this over and over and will continue to say it - learning SD justifications is not difficult, but does require the same commitment to that 'system' as to becoming proficient with firearms. The good news is that it take far less time to learn, only someone who wants to and is willing to work at it.

I appreciate the input from everyone. The issue for me is not having a safety vs not having a safety, but double action versus single action. My other carry is a P365, so I’m carrying that pistol in single action mode as well. I’ll keep my LCP II for the time being. I carry in a leather pocket holster that I made, and it is sufficient to protect the trigger. I might have been looking for an excuse to buy the LCP Max- I am susceptible to firearms manufacturer marketing, especially when they increase round capacity. Or make a stainless model. Or improve the sights or grips. Or when I’m bored. Or when my wife says “Don’t you have enough guns?”. “No, I don’t- I’m going out for a bit-I’ll be back later”.

I'm never going to pull for Georgia just to prove what we already know about the SEC. I hope they get destroyed by TCU.

The first picture shows the only mounting hole option, the blade steel is LC200V some very durable non corrosive steel. The edge this knife came with is wickedly sharp, the last two Spydercos I bought I have had no reason to improve the factory edge, they are razor sharp out of the box This knife fires as hard as any Protech I have owned. It is truly a great heavy duty carry automatic knife I love it!

Just a simple old $30 Timex. Keeps perfect time and its all I need. I've never been much for fancy watches or jewelry. You do realize that those of us who still wear a watch are dinosaurs don't you? Younger folks today just check the clock on their phone.

I don't have a place of my own, and likely don't have the time to get out for a squirrel hunt, but Cedar Forest on the West Side of Highway 231 right across from Cedars of Lebanon State Park would give you access to about 2500 mostly wooded acres just a short drive from Murfreesboro. If you aren't familiar with the area, you can park along the access road and walk in wherever you like. Most of the roads loop back into the main road. It is mentioned in the TWRA hunting guide, but difficult to find information about what type of permits are needed. The link given in the regulation guide does not work. I did find a contact number for Richard Saltsman, who is listed on the state website as the public contact for Cedar Forest good phone number is 615-443-2768 and his email is Richard.Saltzman@tn.gov. He should be about to tell you exactly what is required.
