Not exactly training, more of a test. Beech is good people and makes the FBI qualification look pretty easy. I'm having surgery soon and will be off the range for a while, but I'd like to give it a shot in the next couple weeks if I can swing it.4 points

I attached a large magnet to a broom handle to run over the carpet in my gunsmithing room. I look like a minesweeper in Normandy. But I do find the springs.3 points

I’ve stated my support for EVs in the past for where they’re practical. That said the more I read, the more I think that hydrogen fuel cells might be the better path. Regardless of what becomes the predominant method, it’s going to have to be undergirded with a massive amount of nuclear power generation. Solar/wind likely won’t ever be up to the task.3 points

It’s kind of a catch 22. No one will invest in the infrastructure until the demand is met. And lot of people don’t want to buy until the infrastructure exists. This is part of the reason that the government is pushing the mandates that they are. Is it right? Nah. But the electric future is coming. I’m a hot rodder at heart but I’ve considered an EV. One major hurdle for me, and possibly a lot of other people is that my house is not setup for it. In order to add a charger, I’d have to swap my aged fuse panel for a modern breaker box. Ive gotten some quotes for that and that’s gonna add an additional 3 grand at least to the price of my car. I’m not ready or willing to do so.2 points

Just got the new Holosun SCS for the S&W M&P 2.0 Frame. It works well. It is smaller and sits lower than most others I have tried. Sitting lower helps me find the reticle much faster and easier (I guess it is closer to the sights). It is solar charged and does not have a replaceable or removable battery.1 point

I’m gonna say I think this was miscommunication. The OP did say he was willing to take $450, but he qualified it with an “if” statement. He didn’t actually say “it is yours”. He also messaged again, before a meeting place was ever discussed, saying he went with another buyer. Could the OP have been more specific with his wording to help the potential buyer know he wasn’t technically agreeing to a sale, just saying that $450 was an acceptable amount. yes. But I don’t see it as so egregious as to call him out, unless there is more more to the story. Just my uninvited $0.02.1 point

You would be just a little biased but come on tell us how you really feel. I have heard they are fine revolvers just like their semi automatics. Congratulations on the purchase and please give us a range report when you can.1 point

The CZ-82 is the superior pistol when compared to the P64 and PA-63 in every way except maybe width due to the grip. If you get one you might find yourself showing that PA-63 the door. I know I did cause that thing just hurt to shoot after a while.1 point

I saw this 82 for sale. The price seems to be about what you could expect to pay. CZ 82 - commercial vendor A private sale would probably be less with cash. Then again, I wouldn't sell mine for that price as they're dependable and in almost 20 years of shooting never a failure, plus they are steel frames.1 point

Thanks for posting this @deerslayer! Well made video. Memphis Beech seems like a great guy. Chris too. Subscribed! I like this drill, and also the Air Marshall qual. Haven't shot them in several years... Think I know what I'll be shooting on my next range trip.1 point

This forum really likes to fuss about electric vehicles. I've never felt like someone was forcing me to buy an EV. All the car lots here in town are still selling gas vehicles. I'll keep my 21 year old truck for now.1 point

I've shot both and have found the CZ82 to be the better pistol in terms of grip, recoil, accuracy, fit and finish, and smoother handling overall. I have two CZ82s and large hands and found the FEG to be too small for me.1 point

The CZ82 has polygonal rifling, and they shoot very good. The grip is better for folks with long fingers or larger hands.1 point

A sports book is a crazy fun place to watch a big game. Even the less than big games can be fun if it's the only one on at the time. Plus you know anyone betting big enough to be emotionally swooned on Thursday Night Football is a diehard gambler.1 point

I’ve never been a fan of magnifiers but primary arms ran theirs on sale for 40 bucks before Christmas. I’m giving it a go behind a compm2. I need to order a mount though because the one I have is a little tall. Unfortunately the PA flip to side is out of stock right now.1 point

He moved to my city here in Clarksville and did 3 reviews of 3 of my friends cars. He knows his stuff. He's like me and sticks with Japanses vehicles. American vehicles are built to SELL. Japanese vehicles are built to LAST. The old straight 6 Ford engines from the 70s to 80s was an exception. They would run dang near forever .1 point

I'm in the no EV in my future group also. Only way I would consider an EV would be as a 2nd or 3rd vehicle that was only for local use. To get back to the heater discussion, I commented to a friend up North that has a hybrid that getting stuck in the snow on an interstate like has happened a few times would not be good in a full electric. He had an answer, he said that a solar blanket to cover up with and a heated seat would keep you warm for many days in an EV. I have carried a couple of solar blankets in all our cars for years but never thought about that even in a gas powered vehicle if you have heated seats it would be a good way to keep warm, then you would only have to run the engine every few hours to top off the battery.1 point

As an aside, check out Scotty Kilmer on Youtube. A real mechanic for 55 years, he gives you the lowdown on everything automotive. Listen to him, he knows his stuff, doesn't accept payola, and is hated by Chevy, Chrysler, Ram, Audi, BMW, Jeep, and other major companies for his honesty and pulling no punches. You'll save thousands on buying and repair costs. Plus, he's entertaining. Scotty Kilmer - Mechanic and Straight Shooter1 point

The Greenies push EVs, the politicians grab the hot topic and neither can understand that we just don't have the technology or the infrastructure to make it work. The fantasy far outweighs the facts.1 point

Here is some video from my pulsar XP50 the other night. I’m a big fan of pulsar optics. Have some buddies with AGM rattlers and Bering hogsters and they are good too. One of my buddies just ordered a pulsar talion and I’m waiting for it to come in so I can check it out. IMG_0288.MOV1 point

Most people would be better off if they quit worrying about what others have, quit waiting around to be lifted up, be thankful for what they do have, and instead of plotting and praying for the downfall of someone better off than they are, maybe study the path that person took and what makes them tick and possibly learn how to be more successful themselves. What a novel concept.1 point

Hey folks. If you like to have some variety in your life or prefer a Light or a Dark color scheme in particular, you can change the way TGO looks by scrolling way down to the bottom of the page and looking for the "Theme" link. Once there, you can choose between a few different options. Click Theme (1st) and then click whichever color scheme you prefer (2nd), just like this picture shows.0 points
