  1. I have one of those home weather stations that reads the outdoor temperature. The sensor is located on my back porch. So it tends to read a couple of degrees higher than the actual temp. I've been watching it this afternoon. At 4:00 pm when the front came through it read 51 degrees. Now at 6:30pm its reading 24 and still dropping. We have snow. Its real small, icy type of flurries, but its coming down fast and hard. Streets and ground are starting to get covered. Its days like this that make me really glad I'm retired. When I was still working, the worse the weather, the more likely I'd have to be out in it.

  2. As everyone else in this thread has made clear one way or another, what you were doing is soliciting someone to commit a felony. You may not be aware that it is such, but it is. it’s stupid, and it sucks, but it is how the law works on the subject. You cannot manufacture a firearm for compensation without holding the proper licensure from the ATF.

  3. This is the wrong place to solicit someone to commit a felony, might fly on tik toc or somewhere.... seriously... Reach out to a ffL7 holder.

  5. We added salt, pepper, garlic, and chopped onion. Right out of the can, cold, this is at least as good as any roast beef I’ve eaten. I will make more.

  7. Careful on that one. AIUI, whoever does the work is manufacturing a firearm. If you're paying them, they're arguably "in the business of" manufacturing a firearm and need to be an FFL 07. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/ruling/2015-1-manufacturing-and-gunsmithing I'm not a lawyer and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so do your own research.

  8. Here in the West End we've been having temps in the mid-50s to low 60s for a couple of weeks now. Not bad at all. Local forecast says that Arctic Air Mess is due to arrive about 4:00 pm. Some light snow expected with temps dropping like a rock. Low tonight forecast at 5 degrees with a high tomorrow of 17. Not expected to be above freezing until at least Monday. Just so happened that I needed to stop by Kroger for a couple of small items this morning. The place was absolutely packed! People stocking up in full panic mode. So it begins. Winter in the South.

  9. Cold. It's the flow of the water that keeps pipes from freezing up. Hot water drips only wastes energy.

  11. Even on a slab foundation plumbing is required to be buried below the frost line. But I know of a couple that have had theirs freeze due to builders trying to save a buck. If I were worried at all I'd set a sink to a small drip and be done.

  12. Not saying somebody shouldn’t carry it without a safety. But I personally don’t feel super comfortable. My LCP 1 feels infinitely safer to carry in a pocket.

  13. Not a home build, factory built upper and gunsmith built lower. This thing is a beast, a real shoulder bruiser, if you're into that sort of thing. It is the kind of rifle that is just cool to have, and one that everyone wants to shoot. Bear Creek Arsenals upper, Anderson lower, CMMG LPK, DPMS A2 stock, comes with 1 mag specifically for .50 Beowulf. Currently painted green, not Cerakote, but one of the Cerakote like finishes that you can buy in a can. I can include dies, brass, and bullets. $750 $650 or would consider trades for lever guns, 1911s, or 2011s, can add cash if needed.

  14. CR920 Combat model with black barrel, no optics cut. Very few rounds through it, I just don't shoot sub compacts very well. Includes (2) thirteen round mags and (1) ten round mag. Also includes a Tenicor Velo 4 IWB holster and mag pouch, manual and case. $600 for the package, I'm in the Hendersonville/Gallatin area.

  15. Pre lock 4in 686 $900 Very nice 6in Nickel 19-3 and factory box $1200. Knoxville to Tricities area Full disclosure on the 686, it has an aftermarket spring kit in it. I shot it for the first time today since installing it. It was 100% reliable with Remington. It wasn’t with Federal. I can put the factory springs back in or include them with sale. Whatever the buyers preference is.

  18. Considering he shot and killed someone to not get caught shoplifting, here’s hoping that his lack of sense holds out long enough to get recognized in the same outfit.

  22. SOLD Really cool pistol, but I regret selling my Glock 48, so I’m after another Glock! This one has never been shot. Purchased a few weeks ago from Academy. Comes with the case, extra back straps, and one 18 round magazine. The triggers on these are really as crisp as they say. Extremely nice. Looking for $300 Meet up in Williamson/Maury county. I’ll provide a bill of sale.

  25. Thanks to all such great info and that was hilarious Handsome Rob I would never even touch a 100 year old firearm let alone take a screwdriver or wrench to one. It is great to have this wealth of knowledge at my fingertips truly invaluable.

  26. It would be for j-frame Model 49, plus 9x18 or .380 as it seems that HPs in those calibers don't perform as one might wish. Take a look at this. Wadcutters for SD I would only carry factory ammo for SD, no handloads.

  28. For me the original LCP is close to perfect as a pocket pistol....with the Nemesis holster. At times I will use a Versa Carry device for waistband carry....no pockets, or pocket too small. Can't speak to the other models.

  32. With all the good comments above...is it worth noting that the 87,000 new tax agents are trained(?) and armed? Could they be shifted over to BATFE as enforce ment agents? Send them out to search for people with a brace at ranges?
