I have a Smith model 60-14 for sale. It is a .357. It comes with some extras. I have a speed loader, a crossbreed holster, and a set of extra wood grips. It has a sat in the safe and never been shot. It has a night sight but it has lost some of its strength. I am asking $675 for this gun and not interested in trades.9 points

It’s sad that 1% can be so offended. But what’s worse is the 99% that waist there time worrying about their little feelings. If your offended by something, it’s your choice to be, not mine. Hell if you say something that offends me, that’s on me. Many of us served so that “We the People” can say whatever We want and the true “We the People” will be there to protect your right to say it, weather “We” like it or not. Everyone needs to chill the hell out or “We” are screwed.2 points

I don't post much here for one simple reason, I read threads like this and I want to lash out. I have not really become acquainted with the sub-culture of TGOs yet. And frankly, most of you may not know how to take me. I moved here from FL 15 years ago, spent my first 42 years in the Clearwater area. After seeing what the non-Crackers had done to my state, I did not want to become just another intruder to TN. I came here with a humble attitude, I went along and got along. I had a CCW permit in FL and I immediately got a TN permit......IOWs I've always had a permit. For the life of me I cannot understand the bitching and moaning about going through the process. Spend a few years here before you start bitching, you might realize it's not as bad as you thought. I live in E TN, just outside of Newport, halfway between Knoxville and Asheville. I have yet to go anywhere, besides the obvious courthouses...etc.. where I could not carry, concealed or open......it's a non issue. Also, I'm routinely in VA, NC, GA, KY, SC, FL, none of those states could I carry without a permit. Just as in FL, years of hearing how wonderful your rustbelt states and northeastern states were...bla, bla, bla. Well, I'm a legit TN resident now and I don't want to hear it now either. Get accustomed to our customs or go back, that simple.2 points

Oh man, what a coincidence I just happen to live in Lenoir City and have no travel plans other than meeting you and paying you your asking price for that pistol package. That is of course if you are not in that big of a hurry and are willing to bring it when you come. Sending pm with my contact info.1 point

The Model 63 shot great and was quite accurate. It is a fun little gun to shoot.1 point

Shot the Rossi today. Accurate and fun to shoot. But man it kicks more than I thought it would. My shoulder is not the happiest after 20+ rounds. The bitt is a bit sharp with the steel cap. I definitely think I need some type of a pad on the rifle butt.1 point

I'm ready to try a dot but I'm going to copy you and get something from Shadow Systems. I got to handle and dry fire one recently and I'm really impressed. I just need to pick a model.1 point

I’ve got my lifetime EHCP, but I do want the gun buster sign law changed. That’s more important to me than true constitutional carry, though I’d like that too.1 point

The latest trend in society is to be offended on someone else's behalf. I call it "proxy-offended". Proxy-offended is being offended by someone, on behalf of someone else they may or may not even know. Years ago I posted something to a friend, that my friend and I knew was an inside joke (not personal), in a trading post AD, and people came out of woodwork to be offended for my friend. Quite entertaining. Most likely THIS will offend someone.......1 point

Thanks, Sleep profit. I appreciate the comments. Flashy? Yes, it is. I'd have to go with the Black/Gold option. But I understand there's an all black available as well. But even so, it's not as flashy as my dearly departed Taurus "Pimp Gun." A 1911 in high gloss black and all polished gold trigger, hammer, and slide release. It was awesomely beautiful. Wish I still had it. LOL.1 point

The weapons crime for the no guns signs needs to be removed all together or at least not apply for people with enhanced carry permits. People with enhanced permits should be able to also carry in other locations such as college campuses that are already legal in most states surrounding TN for people with carry permits.1 point

Best start would be with Tennessee Firearms Association.......TFA "...so far backwards...", maybe try CA, IL, NY for starters. TN has very favorable laws overall. Not perfect. If want to change something, reduce the sign language from having the force of law to a simple trespass.1 point

I am no Vaquero expert, but I believe there are two versions and the original was identical (sizewise) to a Blackhawk frame. The "New Vaquero" is closer in size to a Colt SAA. There may not be enough difference between the two to matter, but it may be worthwhile to confirm which Vaquero that holster fits.1 point

I’d be willing to pay double these prices! Seriously, thank you for doing this. There was a time I would have been all over this. Hopefully that time doesn’t return for me.1 point

So are you going to badger me until I head over to the Armory and pay for a lane to shoot? Because it will probably work.1 point

This is a neat little gun to take apart. I took apart the forend and such, but not the back end. I need a tool to remove the stock nut to pull that apart the back end. I tried the carpenter’s pencil on the barrel rust first. The rust was just a little too much for it. It gave the rust a nice “blued” look. I went with the 0000 Wool and gun oil. That seemed to work better. Not too much, but enough to get it looking better. I did decide to hit the receiver just a touch to smooth it up a little.1 point

Yes it absolutely makes a difference. Do Not use that muzzle brake on a 9mm if it truly has a .350 I.D. Your muzzle brake diameter needs to be .020-.030 over the bullet diameter. That would put you at .375 to .385 I.D. There are a few out there that run a little tighter to the bore diameter (~.015 clearance) but you need to make sure you are using quality components regardless. I have seen some really horrible muzzle threading on cheap barrels before. Total concentricity and perpendicularity of ~.001 -.002 is required especially if you ever hope to mount a suppressor to the weapon.1 point

If you aren't going to make more than one AR, might I suggest that you see if another member who has the tools and experience will meet with you to assemble your rifle.1 point
