Woke up with some discomfort and tightness in my chest Sunday morning. Went to E R at St Thomas West, in Nashville, Sunday afternoon. Monday afternoon I had to have 4 additional stents put in my veins around my heart. Now have had double bypass, with 9 stents. Feel lucky to be her on this Thanksgiving Day. Am having a great day although kinda sore. I am now 74, and want to tell you that one better have made spiritual provisions for your death, and most of all where your soul will spend eternity. My soul will be with my savior Christ Jesus in the next realm(realm of departed spirits(Paradise) if Christ don't come first. Search and find out where your souls will go before it is too late. When you get to the next realm it will be too late to change your fate. I have done the things necessary for me to be able to take advantage of God's saving Grace which He freely will give to all who follow His Son Jesus. This is serious guys. I would be glad to help you if you can get in touch with me in Lascassas TN.2 points

This would be the correct classification if they transferred in without an upper attached. These are receivers, not complete firearms so they are not a pistol or a rifle. That means they are 100% neutral with regards to how you choose to build them.1 point

The weather has got a little warmer. I didn't go this morning. But, did go this evening. Didn't see a thing. Passed on a 6 point about 14" wide, Wednesday evening. Saw him again Thursday morning, and a decent 8 point. Couldn't get a good shot at him. He was about 25 yards from a steep hill that leads into the holler. I could've hit him in the ribs while he was walking. Was afraid he would make it over the hill though. I don't have any help getting one out anymore.1 point

I am looking for a placard style (shingle, think same thing?) where its a 3 mag rather than individuals. More specifically, something thats open top with decent retention. The esstac-style pouches seem like the go-to for this style? *edit - Chuck, see the x39 shingle, thats a good start as any. I'd love the extra security of the swift clips but going to be saving this as #1 if nothing else pops up. I use IDOgear for belt bouches (cheap off Amazon) and they've actually held up surprisingly well.1 point

I just want to wish you all the happiest Thanksgiving. The older I get the more I truly realize how much I have to be grateful for. I am very thankful for the friends that I have made courtesy of TGO as well as the simple fact that this is one place where I truly feel surrounded by "my people". Even when we disagree on things. I appreciate all of you. I hope that today you might be able to take stock of the things that are good in your life as well, whether you are gathering with family, friends, or just getting some restorative peace and quiet by yourself. Happy Thanksgiving!1 point

Finally got a crack at this 9 pointer I’d been hunting. A good season! I may still get a doe sometime for meat, but that’s all for the bucks. I hope you all get some good ones this weekend. They sure are chasing does heavy right now.1 point

No deer today but did break in the Taurus Raging Hunter 460 on this joker. He didn't take another step after that hammer fell.1 point

He's almost a year older than me, & I can't do it . Glad he's still in that good health. Hope it continues for many more. Good shot too.1 point

My old man brought this one by the house today. He’ll be 80 next month. No way I’ll still be able to load a deer in the truck when I’m that age.1 point

I spent all weekend, Thursday afternoon thru Sunday morning hunting some of the most pristine, beautiful, well managed & maintained hunting property in Bledsoe Co. The owner (a very good friend) has a a spectacularly well managed herd, very selectively harvested. I sat dark-dark Friday & Saturday, plus Thursday afternoon 1-5 & Sunday 5-11. Didn't see a Gee Dee thing. I got back to Tullahoma at 2, yesterday afternoon & figured i had time to put in a quick 90 minutes at a little craphole spot i have permission on. Filed the freezer with a limit of Does in 15 minutes, surrounded by old, burnt out fridges & trash. Go figure!1 point

I'm glad S&W is experimenting with metal frames again, but personally I see this as a bit of a step backward. I'm not sold on the reasons for replacing a light, non-corrosive, impact resistant polymer frame with a marginally lighter, far more expensive frame that is subject to cumulative stress fatigue and finish wear. I'd rather see them come up with a steel frame, which would hold up to repeated stress better than aluminum and provide a real recoil reduction benefit.1 point

Killed a 10 pt yesterday. Had a really nice 9 walk 30 yards from me today. Got to watch him for 20 minutes. I'm hoping I didn't see my target deer in the neighbor's truck this afternoon .1 point

Hello, I have enjoyed and read these forums for a long time and finally decided to join. I have lived in East TN most of my life. I have been shooting close to 30 years and really like shooting steel targets, well really any day spent shooting is a great one.1 point

Honestly, the newer Savages are pretty decent and in my opinion a little better than the Ruger Americans.1 point

My daughter has a 300 fourtrax I bought new in 1995 , no telling how many miles it has on it. Still in great shape and runs like a new one. It will start in any temperature weather without having to choke it. The 300’s are the best Honda ever made! BULLETPROOF!1 point
