Finally got a crack at this 9 pointer I’d been hunting. A good season! I may still get a doe sometime for meat, but that’s all for the bucks. I hope you all get some good ones this weekend. They sure are chasing does heavy right now.8 points

Most of you who have been here a while already know this, but @BimmerFreak (Joe) is a TGO OG, a good dude and someone you don't even have to hesitate to deal with. Besides all of that, he's a very dear friend of mine so this is about as good of a vouching as I can provide. I can count the number of people I'd drive across country to help bury a body on one hand. Joe's the middle finger.3 points

I'm almost certain that Joe was one of the very first sponsors / vendors on TGO too.2 points

Take a close look at the scope mount and screws. Make sure none of the screws are a little proud on the inside of the receiver. IIRC, the screw holes on the PU mount line up with the ejector channel. Even if the screws are proper length, a little burr from D&T could interfere with ejector or ejector spring. If you were closer, I wouldn't mind taking a look at it. I've worked on many Mosins over the years and built several custom Mausers.2 points

Very few people start out looking to commit a crime like this. But you do look up one day and find yourself in so deep that suddenly committing another federal crime to try to find a way out seems reasonable. The most charitable thought here is that when you run a gun shop, there’s paperwork that has to be done exactly right every day. That’s a minor burden when you’re selling three a week. When you’re moving a hundred or more per day like they were in the Obama boom - well - that’s a compliance department.2 points

No deer today but did break in the Taurus Raging Hunter 460 on this joker. He didn't take another step after that hammer fell.2 points

This is an excellent condition Mark IV with maybe a couple hundred rounds through it. Just been sitting in the safe for a long time. Still got the box. Bull barrel with rail. $465 cash FTF in the Mt. Juliet city limits. Tennessee residents only.1 point

I was at the right place and right time to find this old dinosaur. I am a sucker for the old Ruger P-series pistols. They are fat , big , and clunky but they run forever until the good Lord comes back. This is the P95. It has the fiberglass frame and the frame rails that the slide rides on is the same fiber glass that the frame is made of. So a slide that rides on fiber glass instead of metal . I was always worried about this but no one has had one ever fail or wear down. This one was never fired and is new in the box. Still has the danger/warning sticker on the frame. When I was turning 21 the Ruger P-Series 85 and 89 were coming out and they were my first pistol. They would run no matter what I put in them and when dirty they still never failed. I just thought Id share this with you guys. have a good day !1 point

When you said he was an OG, I thought to myself no way he's been here longer than me! But he has by a few months, but he is truly an OG!1 point

His M39 has the two-piece interrupter/ejector, which were never used on the M91's. The early style interrupter/ejector was a one-piece unit, which proved to be one of the most common failure items in all the early Mosin variants. Either style will fit and work in any Mosin, but the one-piece units are hard to find and more failure prone anyway ... And I agree, from appearances it seems your interrupter has been modified or worn to the point that it's no longer capable of doing its job ...1 point

Just a suggestion.. my former local forum used to have a whole section for deals. Maybe we could bring up to mods? That way each deal can have its own thread with feedback, questions, etc…1 point

Emilio Rizzini O/U 12ga when i was 16. I couldn't tell you what model it was & it was completely illegal for me to own (I kept it in a friend's safe along with his shotgun, since he had a license & very friendly parents) but I do remember giving the princely sum of £150 for it. I shoot an awful lot of rabbits, pheasant & wood pigeons with that thing.1 point

People who forget or don't think they need to scale admin proportionally with operations usually wind up regretting it. Sure, some organic growth can be absorbed, but it's not long before you need another bucket to catch the overflow when you're making those big leaps like you exampled during the Obama years. I have a hunch that taking the plea deal before any IRS investigators got into the mix was probably the best legal move to make. Those guns that weren't properly accounted for and added to other folks 4473's may well have gone out the backdoor to various sources for straight cash that wasn't reported.1 point

Just wanted to add a bit to this. My grandfather started me shooting with the 67 when I was four. He and my grandmother lived off Delrose Drive, in East Knoxville, right up against the city limits. Amazingly enough, the police were never called by their neighbors. Those were different times, but firing a gun in the city limits was still illegal back then. He would set up beer cans at the base of a tall, thick pine tree and then I would shoot at them with the Winchester 67. I wasn't big enough or strong enough to hold the rifle up, so I would rest it on a tall stool. At the beginning he would also have to chamber and pull the plunger back on the bolt for me. But as I got bigger, I was able to do it myself. We spent many weekends, shooting that rifle, in the back yard! It started my love of firearms!1 point

Try Reddit maybe? I saw a couple get sold on there back in July, maybe someone still has one? Everywhere online they're sold out individually. I believe if you buy a handguard kit from K.A.C. they send the wrench with it, I'm sure that doesn't help you out much, but it's an option, or you can modify a wrench like RED said, hell, maybe even have someone 3D print you a wrench.1 point

Nice of you to do that. Also nice to see people restraining the urge to get something free to allow someone that could use a little help! Getting me in the holiday mood! Thanks1 point

I highly recommend the Lansky sharpening kit. Has 5 stones, ranging from coarse to super fine, with a holder that clamps onto the blade for several different sharpening angles.1 point
