The link brings up what appears to be the whole collection. I must say, your Dad had good taste. I'm afraid I can't help on the FN. However, you may want to do some research on that Argentine Mauser. I'm no expert, but as I recall, it was popular to rechamber those to .308 Win and there was some doubt as to if the action was strong enough to handle it. I can't remember just how that turned out. Otherwise, you have some very good guns there and they should sell pretty quickly.2 points

I hope I didn’t just mess up. I picked up my second lever action. Rossi 1892, stainless steel, 20” barrel, 44mag. Thanks Badshot57! I only think I might have messed up in that owning one lever action was Ok. But owning two lever actions seems like too few. I would post photos, but apparently I have exceeded my attachment limit of 2MB (by about 28MB).2 points

I'm a Marlin lever guy but to be honest never seen a lever I didn't like. Rossi very nice guns. Here's my 44-40 and 357. And picture of some of mine on the wall.2 points

1994 Ruger M77 Mark II in 7mm Magnum. Comes with Ruger integrated scope rings. Took this on trade from a good friend who bought it new in '94 to hunt elk. It's probably had no more than a few boxes ran through it in its 28 years. Been sitting in his safe. Nice example of one of the early Mark II's, nice patina to the walnut, a few minor hunting nicks, nothing bad. Tried to show the few on the magazine floor plate. SPF Have 15 rounds to go with it. As today will give us the General Assembly we will have for the next two years, it is important that we reach out to our newly elected General Assembly and honor our Article 1 Section 23 obligation to "instruct" our elected employees, and that they in turn hold the bureaucracies that are tax payer funded to the same rules that all government is held to recognize, that all power is inherent in the People, and that they work for us! We need at least one (1) (and 50 would be better) constituent of ever Representative and Senator in the TN General Assembly to write their members and let them know that the Bruen decision has settled the matter that non-criminal Citizens of this State (by virtue of the 2010 McDonald v. City of Chicago ruling by SCOTUS incorporating the 2nd Amendment against the states under the due process clause of the 14th Amendment has made the 2nd a Civil Right) have a non second class Right to carry arms, and not just handguns, for their use in case of confrontation. It is imperative that we can show proof of this transfer of knowledge, even though it has been read into the Journal of the General Assembly (ask me how I know that) this year we MUST convince the members that we understand that their having knowledge of the facts puts them in jeopardy of being convicted of Official Oppression if they fail to remedy the unconstitutional infringements placed by the General Assembly on our right to keep, bear and wear arms. Thomas said in Bruen this is no second class right, where we must prove need to enjoy, but rather is ours by birth as Citizens, given us by God and simply obstructed by a government that swears to uphold the Constitutions of our State and Union. From our TCA Code Annotated: Part 4 - Misconduct Involving Public Officials and Employees 39-16-403 - Official oppression. 39-16-403. Official oppression. (a) A public servant acting under color of office or employment commits an offense who: (1) Intentionally subjects another to mistreatment or to arrest, detention, stop, frisk, halt, search, seizure, dispossession, assessment or lien when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful; or (2) Intentionally denies or impedes another in the exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, power or immunity, when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful. (b) For purposes of this section, a public servant acts under color of office or employment if the public servant acts, or purports to act, in an official capacity or takes advantage of the actual or purported capacity. (c) An offense under this section is a Class E felony. (d) Charges for official oppression may be brought only by indictment, presentment or criminal information; provided, that nothing in this section shall deny a person from pursuing other criminal charges by affidavit of complaint. [Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1; 1990, ch. 980, § 11.] Every member of the General Assembly, The Governor, the Department of Safety, the Sheriffs and their deputies, the Chiefs of Police and their officers, the TBI and every other agency are held to support and defend the Constitutions of the State and Union by that oath. When they take tax payer money to do a job, they are bound thereby, regardless of personal opinion or belief. The various departments and LE agencies are not given power to make law, or to lobby for or against them. Having knowledge of the flow chart of governance with the People at the top and them being relegated to a servants position for pay, I am tired of seeing their paid shills speak against my rights, using my tax money to do so. Only the legislature can make law, and that at the People's will, if we will but engage. Having the Department of Safety, TBI and Sheriff's Association testify under oath that they are "philosophically opposed" to relinquishing their strangle hold on our right to bear arms is criminal, but will only be stopped by US, and that only if we alert our elected employees that we know the facts and intend to see them obeyed.1 point

I have 3200 Sq Ft all on one level. Just me and wife and our bill has run from 170.00 to 420,00 being the highest last winter. Up until last winter the highest was 360.00. Keep it 73 day and 72 night. Wife is cold at that. I would guess average for 12 months would be 220.00. Your bill sounds awful high to me. Have the meter checked. Have an energy test run. just might save you some lollie.1 point

It depends a great deal on the gun and the collector. Collectors can specialize on a specific make or even a specific model. Some even break it down to certain years. Its all a matter of what you like. Believe it or not, there are people out there that collect Hi-Points and even RGs. In general the older the better and condition is everything. However, a hard to find gun in rough condition can be much more valuable than a brand new one. Another big consideration is originality. Modified or refinished guns lose a great deal of value over one in original condition. Even if that condition is rough as a cob. The exception being guns worked on by well known Master Gunsmiths. EX: an early Kings Gun Works full tilt target conversion can bring big bucks. I collect S&W revolvers. My own tastes are for early 1900s thru the 1980s. I have no interest in any that have MIM parts or that damned lock. I simply will not own one. However, many S&W aficionados will happily grab the newest thing to hit the market. Especially Performance Center or Limited Edition guns. Again, its all about what interests you. OTOH, I tend to accumulate 1911s. Make, model or caliber doesn't really matter. If it strikes my fancy, I'll buy it. There is no pat answer. Its all about what you like.1 point

I am going to assume you are referring to Smith and Wesson revolvers. There isn’t a clear and concise answer to your question. I expect you already knew this. Often times, older means more valuable. Sometimes, a certain -number will be more desirable due to scarcity. Sometimes the newer, updated gun is the better quality firearm, and thus more desirable. Quality, condition, desirability, and scarcity are what you’re looking for. Buy what you like and don’t sweat the small stuff.1 point

S&W Model 27-3 1/2" Bbl-Pinned-Recessed The 5" Version was also great.1 point

I'm guessing it wasn't converted, because there's 7.5 (?) 'Argentine Mauser' factory ammo in his stash. Pops tended to hoard ammo for the weird ones, it's looking like. Larry1 point

I appreciate the advice and responses. If anyone feels like poking through some pictures and offering any info or advice, it would be appreciated; having real difficulty finding out ANYTHING about that sporterized FN, in particular. Hopefully this link will show the pix I took this AM: https://ibb.co/album/3rz7rP Thanks again, Larry1 point

Very small house originally built in the 1800's here (< 1/4 the size of Alleycat's Home), but my last power bill was $98. All the lights in the house are LEDs and even that minuscule draw is on automation to cut power usage. I replaced the AC window units and floor space heaters with 2 mini-splits (1 is a 220 unit). I could have used a single multi-head unit but wanted redundancy and the smaller 110 unit can be run off my small dual-fuel generator in a pinch. Just installing the mini splits knocked about 1/3 off my power bill. The house is still a work in (very slow) progress. Eventually I'll be replacing the storm doors and windows for better efficiency.1 point

Just depends. If you're filming a movie, S&W Model 327 TRR8. If you're a movie villain with style and class, Colt Python 6". If you're actually trying to run and gun with it, my personal fav S&W Modell 66 Combat Magnum. If you're trying to carry it in your gym shorts, a Ruger LCR. If you're trying to shoot full house magnum loads every single day for the rest of your life and you don't care about it being fancy, Ruger GP100.1 point

He wants someone to put together a list of gun shows showing the next ones coming first. Team player and all being his 4th post. As I would tell my friends, "Do it your F'n self".1 point
