As today will give us the General Assembly we will have for the next two years, it is important that we reach out to our newly elected General Assembly and honor our Article 1 Section 23 obligation to "instruct" our elected employees, and that they in turn hold the bureaucracies that are tax payer funded to the same rules that all government is held to recognize, that all power is inherent in the People, and that they work for us! We need at least one (1) (and 50 would be better) constituent of ever Representative and Senator in the TN General Assembly to write their members and let them know that the Bruen decision has settled the matter that non-criminal Citizens of this State (by virtue of the 2010 McDonald v. City of Chicago ruling by SCOTUS incorporating the 2nd Amendment against the states under the due process clause of the 14th Amendment has made the 2nd a Civil Right) have a non second class Right to carry arms, and not just handguns, for their use in case of confrontation. It is imperative that we can show proof of this transfer of knowledge, even though it has been read into the Journal of the General Assembly (ask me how I know that) this year we MUST convince the members that we understand that their having knowledge of the facts puts them in jeopardy of being convicted of Official Oppression if they fail to remedy the unconstitutional infringements placed by the General Assembly on our right to keep, bear and wear arms. Thomas said in Bruen this is no second class right, where we must prove need to enjoy, but rather is ours by birth as Citizens, given us by God and simply obstructed by a government that swears to uphold the Constitutions of our State and Union. From our TCA Code Annotated: Part 4 - Misconduct Involving Public Officials and Employees 39-16-403 - Official oppression. 39-16-403. Official oppression. (a) A public servant acting under color of office or employment commits an offense who: (1) Intentionally subjects another to mistreatment or to arrest, detention, stop, frisk, halt, search, seizure, dispossession, assessment or lien when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful; or (2) Intentionally denies or impedes another in the exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, power or immunity, when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful. (b) For purposes of this section, a public servant acts under color of office or employment if the public servant acts, or purports to act, in an official capacity or takes advantage of the actual or purported capacity. (c) An offense under this section is a Class E felony. (d) Charges for official oppression may be brought only by indictment, presentment or criminal information; provided, that nothing in this section shall deny a person from pursuing other criminal charges by affidavit of complaint. [Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1; 1990, ch. 980, § 11.] Every member of the General Assembly, The Governor, the Department of Safety, the Sheriffs and their deputies, the Chiefs of Police and their officers, the TBI and every other agency are held to support and defend the Constitutions of the State and Union by that oath. When they take tax payer money to do a job, they are bound thereby, regardless of personal opinion or belief. The various departments and LE agencies are not given power to make law, or to lobby for or against them. Having knowledge of the flow chart of governance with the People at the top and them being relegated to a servants position for pay, I am tired of seeing their paid shills speak against my rights, using my tax money to do so. Only the legislature can make law, and that at the People's will, if we will but engage. Having the Department of Safety, TBI and Sheriff's Association testify under oath that they are "philosophically opposed" to relinquishing their strangle hold on our right to bear arms is criminal, but will only be stopped by US, and that only if we alert our elected employees that we know the facts and intend to see them obeyed.3 points

This is a neat little gun to take apart. I took apart the forend and such, but not the back end. I need a tool to remove the stock nut to pull that apart the back end. I tried the carpenter’s pencil on the barrel rust first. The rust was just a little too much for it. It gave the rust a nice “blued” look. I went with the 0000 Wool and gun oil. That seemed to work better. Not too much, but enough to get it looking better. I did decide to hit the receiver just a touch to smooth it up a little.3 points

Not a home build, factory built upper and gunsmith built lower. This thing is a beast, a real shoulder bruiser, if you're into that sort of thing. It is the kind of rifle that is just cool to have, and one that everyone wants to shoot. Bear Creek Arsenals upper, Anderson lower, CMMG LPK, DPMS A2 stock, comes with 1 mag specifically for .50 Beowulf. Currently painted green, not Cerakote, but one of the Cerakote like finishes that you can buy in a can. I can include dies, brass, and bullets. $750 $650 or would consider trades for lever guns, 1911s, or 2011s, can add cash if needed.2 points

2019 Marlin 30-30 with 1 piece DNZ scope base and Leupold VX freedom scope. Upgrades include: Large loop lever Ranger point precision loading gate and safety delete. Makes loading far easier and no silly safety to mess with, use the hammer as historically it has always been done. Wild west guns happy trigger , which is awesome!!! Rifle is in great condition and comes with a box of ammo. I still have original lever if you prefer small loops. I also have 3 boxes of Midway bullets, 2 boxes of Hornady FTX bullets and a box of brass plus a new set of Lee reloading dies if that is of interest.2 points

well, I got an old shooting box from my FIL and it had supplies from back in the day. I thought the vintage oil and 22LR (and 22L) cartridges wold make for a neat photo with the old gun.2 points

Are these reloads? If yes Savage might not cover it under warr. That is the extractor, there is a spring and ball missing. I would take the complete rifle to a gun smith to have it checked out. Yep2 points

I couldn’t wait to post so pics will be forthcoming. A buddy gave (sold me at a great price) me his dad’s 1936 Winchester Model 63 (which was left to him) It appears to be in good functioning condition. Most of the bluing if off the receiver (I think the term is “Patina”) The barrel still has some bluing, but it does have a spot or two of rust on the surface. I will need advice on how I should handle the rusty patches. It is missing the rear dovetail sight but has a Marble Tang Peep Sight. The rear dovetail sight may have been removed years ago. The wood stock and forend are in good condition for an 86 year old rifle. Definitely has wear and marks in the wood “Character”. I will get photos uploaded when I get home.1 point

Bought this in 2007, kept it in the safe for years. Sent it out 2 years ago to my gunsmith at K7 Precision to have a flat trigger installed, a trigger job and cerakote. Very accurate pistol! Less than 150 rounds through it. Has flared magwell, night sights, and grips.1 point

These are essentially brand new. Bought my new truck, drove it home and to the Discount Tire to have new A/T tires put on. These have exactly 117 miles on them. $xxx picked up in Chapel Hill.1 point

Hello, I have enjoyed and read these forums for a long time and finally decided to join. I have lived in East TN most of my life. I have been shooting close to 30 years and really like shooting steel targets, well really any day spent shooting is a great one.1 point

The round previous to this one was bunny fart quiet, this round was much louder. Almost sounded unsupressed. These were Ammo inc ammo that I purchased from PSA, so far they have been reliable. Seems this one was just a hot round, you can see in the first pic how the primer blew completely out. Did a little reading and it appears I will just need the spring and ball for the ejector, but will definitely have a competent gunsmith check it out for sure, just to be on the safe side...My son in law did send one round after this and it was smooth and quiet, but obviously did not eject, the chamber and inside of the pistol show no apparent damage, but will definitely feel better after a gunsmith verifies. Thanks as usual for all the info1 point

That is about the best listing I have seen in a bit! GLWS1 point

Easy fix, but that rifle about blew up! Could have been a barrel obstruction, bad ammo, or something else possibly. I’d want to find out why this happened before shooting it again.1 point

It would be me (not a boomer) if I had the cash. I love Ruger 77s.1 point

Extractor blew off. May be a "HOT" round or something wrong with bolt/chamber. I would contact Savage Arms and see what they say. I do think Savage needs to check it out. Just my opinion and worth every penny you paid for it!1 point

So...Georgia wins it all this year? Clemson didn't look like a top 4 team against unranked Notre Dame. Tennessee was like a beautiful sports car that just lost all four wheels while going 100 mph. Alabama just can't get it done against fired up, determined opponents. I don't see anyone (Ohio State?) touching Georgia at this point. Let's hope TN & AL can pull it together between now & playoff time & hope for a glorious rematch for the ages.1 point

No idea. I’m sticking to the dollar cost averaging theory of investing. Buy a specific amount each month. Works for me!1 point

The Tennessee Court of Appeals recently issued a decision finding it unconstitutional for a subsidized public housing entity, as landlord, to prohibit tenants from possessing firearms: https://www.tncourts.gov/sites/default/files/m2021-00329_-_unsigned_opinion.pdf The Court's decision was based partly on the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Bruen.1 point
