I think I've shared it before, but this was my grandfather's duty gun when he was a police officer back in the 60's. Smith & Wesson Model 19. He left it to my dad and I inherited it when my dad passed away. This is one of those guns that my kids will inherit one day, and hopefully their kids as well.4 points

When we took our carry permit class, a young lady next to me was shooting a model 60 with full house loads to qualify. She passed, barely, but she sure looked miserable. I felt sorry for her and also admired her tenacity.3 points

Here's a Custom Built Remington 700 308cal. by RITTEN PRECISION out of Louisiana. This one sports Custom Crowned 20" Bbl. and a PT&G one piece Fluted Bolt Bolt w/ Mini M16 Style Extractor. A few pictures show the bolt before I sent it to them to be Fluted (1st. Pic shows it in the White before I sent it out to be coated in DLC) The Trigger is a Jewel Brand Trigger that breaks right at 1# and is smooth as glass. Leupold 30mm Tactical 4.5x15x50mm Obj. Side focus, EGW One Piece Scope mount w/20moa built in, and 30mm Leupold Tactical Rings, and Magnetic Aluminum Scope Covers. I took the action out and installed it in the OD Green McREES Aluminum Chassis that accepts the AIC 10rnd. Mags. asking $2175 CASH, I might accept a partial, or Equal Trade plus CASH on your end if it's not Equal to the price I set it at. I'm interested in M1A's in 308, or 1911's(not interested in Kimbers) just Springfields, Wilson's, Les Baer's, possibly some older Colt 70series. Just about any Smith&Wesson Blued Pre Lock Revolvers, and 2011's in 9mm. RITTEN PRECISION doesn't build anymore Competition Rifles anymore, he just works on his own guns now. I traded a Baer 1911 for this one from another forum about 5yrs. ago. It only had 200rnds fired through it by the previous owner, he had a shoulder injury and just gave up the Rifke Competition just after having it built, I've only ran 150rnds down it before and after swapping the Stocks out. Please PM me any questions or trades, I live in the Whitehouse TN area, can meet in the Goodlettsville,Hendersonville, Gallatin, and Nashville TN areas. I can drive some to meet and make a deal but not clear across the state in either direction. If you need some more pictures please PM me your email address and I'll take whatever you need to see. Thanks for looking. There's close to $3600+ in this build.2 points

I got this from another forum member and never ended up shooting it. It has been shot very little. It comes with the standard factory stuff plus an extra threaded barrel. It also comes with 3 extra magazines for a total of 5 magazines. $500 for everything.2 points

I've got a 360PD and shooting 357s will make you want to buy a 22! I'd rather just hit my hand with a hammer a few times and save the money. It is a great pocket carry gun.2 points

Ok. I’ll concede the L frame Smith is superior to the model 19 K frame. I’ll go further and say that purely from a shooting standpoint, I prefer the N frame Model 27 or 28. The K frame sure is easier to carry. A J frame, in my opinion, should have never been chambered in 357 Magnum.2 points

If anyone thinks shooting a 60 with 357s is bad, they should not try a 340PD! The 60 is significantly heavier.1 point

The Smith & Wesson Registered Magnum in double action and the Ruger Blackhawk in single action are the ultimate in .357 Magnum for me. I have a 1956 Ruger but have never been able to afford the Registered Magnum. Actually I can but I wont pay what they bring.1 point

I had a pretty great one that I think @MacGyver owns now. It was a handful when you were squeezing off full house .357 Magnum rounds. Definitely one of those things that everyone ought to try at least once!1 point

I bought this a from the original owner on here a few weeks ago. He took it to the range once, and I took it one time as well and shot 50 rounds through it. It is in excellent shape and no issues. I was planning on having this as a suppressor host but all of my cans are under .40 so I decided to keep things easy and let this one go. Includes everything pictured- 10mm Banshee, 3 mags, box, paperwork, inexpensive red dot I just added as well as 640 rounds of ammo and most of it is JHP and 7 boxes of Gucci Buffalo Bore / Underwood. The only trades I'm looking at right now is a Glock44, 870 home defense shotgun or 300blackout. Or maybe another Banshee (or similar) in 9mm. $SOLD and meet up in Columbia area but I also go through Chattanooga a few times a month.1 point

Probably get flamed, but having a "relationship" with a 13 year old at 22ish is a problem for me. I believe they have a word for that.1 point

Under or overclocking of barrels is unfortunately not unusual in modern manufacturing. It can be addressed by a warranty, but like I said earlier, Smith does not seem to address it if it still goes bang. But Ruger will. My Single 10 was overclocked and they got it pretty much dead on. Best to avoid them if you are buying at a retail store to avoid the hassle. Online you take your chances. I personally will not buy a revolver online anymore. The build quality just isnt there.1 point

IMHO it would be the older pre-lock S&W L-frame 586/686. This gun was designed specifically for the .357 Cartridge. The older K-frame was nice to carry, but proved to be a bit light in both strength and weight for continuous use of Magnum ammo. The N-frame was plenty strong enough for whatever ammo you wanted to use. However, it is a big, heavy gun. S&W designed the L-frame to be beefy enough for any magnum ammo and still be readily carried. its the perfect .357 revolver. Just for the record, I'm also a big fan of the old Ruger Security Six line. But Ruger stupidly quit making them a long time ago. Never cared much for the GP-100 or the SP-101. They just feel clunky to me. But then if you truly want the best of the best and can afford the price : Korth!1 point

The Dems label me a terrorist. My "friends" abandoned me for voting Trump and carrying a gun. My "best friend" told me I was a blood thirsty monster for being a conservative. All of them are Americans, but I need to lighten up.....you are truly blind.1 point

Doesn't matter if you are a gun owner, if you are against conservatives, you ARE the enemy. I will never trust a leftist. They are the ones who helped put Biden in office.....that is unforgivable.1 point

The Left has been WELL ARMED for a long time, this is nothing new. And they ain't your buds. Look up "Leftist's gun forums" for yourself.1 point

If we’re going that route, make mine an engraved Colt Single Action Army.0 points

The 340PD is probably the ultimate J-Frame sized .357/.38 pistol. It’s lightweight and just disappears. That light weight also might cure you of wanting to shoot it a bunch with full house .357 loads.0 points
