  1. Well, after an abscence, I'm slowing showing my hand, as it were, here again. Not that more than a few old geezers like myself noticed or wondered where I'd gone. Had some things happen this year that have altered my thoughts, perceptions, and actions. Seems to really have changed my outlook on most things that had been "normal" for me for quite some time. I realize we've all had changes because of Covid 19 and all the insanity that came with it. My very simple life wasn't really affected that much by it. Pretty much was a stay-at-home sort anyway. However, other things crept in afterwards, and caused me to withdraw from about everything around me. Not really wanting, or ready to talk about them; just suffice it to say that I've made a lot of changes this year. Some good, some bad, but all necessary for life to continue. Don't know if I'll ever get back to the easygoing smartass I've been, but going to try and rejoin my friends here. If you'll allow me. See quite a few new handles, so not sure how it will all go; but I'm going to try. I want thank those who checked in on me. It was greatly appreciated. Good to know that I was known and remembered. I just hope I wasn't too much of a jerk when you did try and contact me. Thanks for reaching out. I think I needed that. Don't think I'll ever return to virtually living here as I once did, but hope to keep in contact with the forum and my friends here. Larry/aka hipower

  3. Go to see you're still kicking. I've been MIA here myself. I'ts been a rough 6-8 months for me as well. Between wife's surgeries and my covid experience I find i am in a fog and find it hard to get motivated. I hope you are on the mend.

  10. Me and my buddy been on the hogs for a couple weeks and killed 10 but got a good one the other night. My buddy was on the green light and soon as it lit him up he took off a running. Busted him quartering away on the run at 100 yards, the 450 still took out his lungs an the bullet was caught under the skin behind the opposite shoulder. Probably made it 80 yards before piling up. This is on private land with an exemption to bait and use artificial lights of a night.

  11. Sig P232 .380 auto. I bought this for my wife, but she prefers her S&W 642, so I need to sell. It comes with two magazines and the original case, plus factory Hogue grip. $445

  12. So, like an idiot, I went and built another pistol. Turns out, I never actually go shooting. So in the past year, I put 90 rounds thru it. That's it. It's accurate, it's fun and the compensator was an actual good purchase. So I have decided to sell it and put that money towards parts for my caddy. Here are the dets: 10.5 bca side charging upper Tacfire linear compensator Anderson lower PSA ept kit (seriously, this trigger is great) SBA4 brace (why are these so damned expensive?) Magpul flip ups and hand stop. $600 will trade for a P07 or a 1911. Non suppressor P10c as well.

  20. I have one of these Metal 2.0 guns and really like it. To correct a few misinformed posts above, yes this gun does have the new and improved trigger much like the Shield Plus. I have both and love the trigger on both models. Yes it does weigh a bit more and thee texturing is more aggressive than the Shield Plus. All in all I really love the gun. As someone stated above, I really do wish they had included their night sights that are on the Shield Plus. I see why they didn't as it is a different fit to the slide. But they certainly could have made a good night sight that would have worked well on this gun. I love the look of it and shoot it more accurately than the smaller Shield Plus which I already shoot pretty well anyway. In my case, the Shield Plus is my goto carry gun and the Metal 2.0 is more of a range/night stand gun.

  21. This came from an estate and lived it's life in a barn. Stock has wear and barrel had some rust. Action seems tight and barrel looks good inside. I'll take $60 on this. First one to pick it up gets it.

  25. Timex, it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Mine is a chronograph with a leather strap. I've worn it daily for at least 15 years. I've been thinking of getting another one with a bigger date field as it's getting harder to read those little numbers.

  26. I wear a gray and orange digital Armitron Prosport watch that I picked up at a flea market, three years ago for $10. I've never changed the battery in it. Runs great!!! Plan to replace it with a new one when the battery dies. Not even going to try to change the battery out. Kohl's sells them new for $20 now. Does everything I need it too, which is tell time and date.

  27. Nice looking watches. Working on equipment has and will destroy rings, and watches. Years ago I welded a wrench to a ring changing a battery on a boat, burned my finger as well. After that never did wear anything below my elbows but long sleeves and not around running motors or engines.

  28. I've been wearing this one lately. It's an Invicta Cetified Swiss COC Chronometer Automatic Movement, Meteorite Dial, 4.5cwt. Tasvorites, and 10pts. of Dimonds on the Winder. This is from the era when they were all made in Switzerland. I've got at least twelve more Invicta Automatics with the Swiss 7750 VALJUE Movements.

  33. Just a simple old $30 Timex. Keeps perfect time and its all I need. I've never been much for fancy watches or jewelry. You do realize that those of us who still wear a watch are dinosaurs don't you? Younger folks today just check the clock on their phone.

  36. The Dems label me a terrorist. My "friends" abandoned me for voting Trump and carrying a gun. My "best friend" told me I was a blood thirsty monster for being a conservative. All of them are Americans, but I need to lighten up.....you are truly blind.

  37. Doesn't matter if you are a gun owner, if you are against conservatives, you ARE the enemy. I will never trust a leftist. They are the ones who helped put Biden in office.....that is unforgivable.

  39. That’s the one. Once you dehumanize your opposition, it’s easier to do bad things to them. We don’t have to go very far back to see this. Putin is currently using this playbook against the Ukrainian nazi Jews at this very moment. All the new fascist are using the same triggers to achieve their goals. Get the people angry. Tell the people someone wants to take something from them. Dehumanize the perceived threat. Make a call to action and request donations for the fight. This also applies to the liberals with their boogeyman scare tactics.
