For sale is one HK VP9SK. It is a 9mm subcompact pistol with 2 magazines, grip modules, mag loader, and case. Below is some text that I blatantly stole from the internet about this pistol. FTF Transaction in or near Murfreesboro. $600 or best reasonable offer. ********* plagiarized text below. ********* The eagerly anticipated subcompact model of the acclaimed Heckler & Koch VP Series handgun, VP9SK (in 9 mm) has all of the sought-after characteristics of larger frame VP pistols but in a more concealable design. The highly-rated HK VP precision strike trigger is also found on the VPSK. The VP trigger surpasses those found on competitors. It has a short, light take-up with a solid, single action type break followed by a short positive reset. The net result is trigger quality unmatched in production striker fired pistols. A small-scale interpretation of the completely adjustable VP grip feature — consisting of interchangeable backstraps and lateral grip panels — is replicated in the compact grip frame of the VP9SK. This allows the pistol to be easily modified to fit any individual user and is a feature found only on Heckler & Koch handguns. Molded finger grooves in the front of the pistol’s grip also instinctively position an operator’s hand for optimal shooting. The VPSK has the features of the latest, state-of-the-art handgun. All controls are completely ambidextrous. Slide releases are present on both sides of the frame and the paddle style magazine release can be easily activated by left- or right-handed shooters. HK’s patented charging supports, found on full size VP pistols, are also present on the VPSK. The charging supports are simple components that are mounted on each side of the rear of the slide and provide better gripping leverage for racking the slide rearward. The charging supports speed reloading and make operating the VP easier for shooters with reduced hand strength. VPSK pistols can use a variety of proven HK magazines, including compact double stack 10-round flat floor, 13/15-round extended magazines for a more ergonomic grip. VPSK pistols have an abbreviated Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail molded into their polymer frame for mounting lights and accessories. VPSK pistols use a proprietary captive flat recoil spring that helps reduce the recoil forces affecting the operator and the handgun, improving shooter control during rapid firing and prolonging component life span. HK’s famous cold hammer forged barrel — made from cannon grade steel — ensures a long service life. Similar HK barrels on 9 mm P30 models have fired more than 90,000 rounds in endurance tests in 2010. The polygonal bore profile, with no traditional lands-and-grooves rifling, contributes to longer service life as well as a slight increase in muzzle velocity. The VPSK’s machined steel slide is protected from corrosion and wear by HK’s hostile environment finish and all metal components, including springs and pins have superior metallurgy. Despite their small size, VPSK subcompacts have excellent weight and balance making them naturally pointable, easy to control, and accurate to shoot. VPSK models are currently available in 9 mm. VPSK pistols are made in Heckler & Koch’s Oberndorf factory in southwest Germany and are well suited for civilian sport shooting, security, military, and law enforcement use. A high quality and well-engineered design, the VP9SK possesses all the features and long-term durability that make HK products especially cost-effective when subjected to total life cycle cost analysis.3 points

Lee PERFECT Powder Measure 90858 I have one of these and it only costs $20 back in the day. It throws more accurately than my $200 RCBS powder measure..... good starting product but price has gone up a little over the years. FWIW3 points

Like new Kel Tec RFB, little over 100 rds through it. Includes: Kel Tec RFB Vortex Optics VMX-3T 3X Red Dot Sight Magnifier with Built-In Flip Mount Vortex Optics Sparc II Red Dot Sight - 2 MOA Dot Angled Fore Grip 20 Rd Mag 1 Box of .308 ammo $1000 ($1600) The unique proprietary bolt design holds dual extractors that simultaneously extract empty brass and send it down the ejection chute as the bolt reciprocates Heavy duty construction is a must for a 7.62 rifle, but don’t let the 8lbs scare you. The RFB is as balanced as it is tough and we saved weight where safety would allow us. The RFB is equipped with an adjustable gas system that allows the user to curb recoil while maintaining reliability. This feature also makes the RFB an excellent suppressor host. RFB stands for Rifle Forward-ejecting Bullpup. Designed to feed from the FN/FAL metric pattern 20-round magazine, the RFB features 7.62 power in an overall short package while still boasting an 18.5" barrel. The RFB also redefines the bullpup trigger with a smooth pull at 5lbs and a clean break.1 point

From the pictures, I don't think the claim it was released back into the river was accurate.1 point

Even though a lot of 7.62x39 rifles have .310 - .311 grooved barrels, a lot will shoot good with longer .308 bullets. Because of the longer bearing surface. Glad they shot good for you Scatman.1 point

Service rifle shooters love Varget but hard to meter, and hard to find. H335 was an original powder for the 5.56mm cartridge, meters great, but you have to watch temperature sensitivity for competitive shooting. But for plinking its great. I load a lot of my Service rifle practice rounds for 200-300 yard stages and use H335..... FWIW1 point

We always joked back home, find the guy in a 2WD ranger/s10 with New Hampshire tags and he’ll drive you home safe and sound at the end of the night in zero visibility. Live free or die. Welcome to Tennessee, enjoy your lower property taxes!1 point

A sight pusher is the way to go. Kahrman let me borrow his a couple times before I got one.1 point

Your welcome, and to be honest when I shoot out this 300wm barrel I am going to rebarrel it in 300 prc, as it seems to be more suited for heavier ie.. 230gr bullets vs a 300wm. But for now I am happy with it pushing a 200.2 berger at almost 3000fps.1 point
-
I've done it before with a brass punch when I didn't have a pusher with me. Just have to make sure the new sight is started into the dovetail square and be very careful to not let the punch slip. There is much less chance of messing something up using a pusher.1 point

I had a 6.5 prc and really wasn't super impressed with it, you can get 6.5 CM close if you handload. I prefer a 300wm over the 6.5prc anyday, recoil didn't seem to much different between them imo. The cost of the ammo is just stupid as well. But your results may be different as there are people out there that like it.1 point

Not sure if anyone really cares. Procedure was much simpler than anticipated. Normal on the books transfer after shop etched a serial number on compact p80 for 20.00 bucks. Total of 30.00. 10 for Stalin Socialist check. Not sure if ATF will be by in a few to check everything out but shop went by the book in every way so I’m confident. I think as long as your not selling 5-10 of these a year your ok. Time will tell as I’m sure some idiot will push the limits one day.1 point

I am sure it will serve you very well. The Shadow Systems guns are excellent. That said, if I may offer a bit of unsolicited advice. Do not mount that Swampfox Sentinel. Exchange it for a Holosun or Trijicon RMRcc. It is not a quality optic and is not up to the job of counting on it for one’s life. I’m not just spewing Internet lore about it without any first-hand experience.I have one that is not mounted to a gun because the glass broke inside of it after taking a moderate bump while inside the holster. The Swampfox micro red dots are good enough for a range toy or if you’re wanting to just try out a pistol red dot to determine if you want to move in that direction without dropping Trijicon money. I would not under any circumstances put them into a clutch role. I’m not saying this to poo poo on a budget choice. Often times a budget option while maybe not “just as good“ as the premium choice, is often “good enough“. I’m saying this out of genuine concern that this optic may fail your wife when she is relying on it to save her life.1 point

We picked up a CR920 for my wife last week at Nashville Armory. It was actually our first time in there and I was pretty impressed with how non pushy, friendly, and efficient they were. They were definitely a bit higher $$$ than where I usually go but they had what we wanted and I think they made up for it in service and professionalism. They have most of their inventory online now so you can check their website before you spend the gas money. We’ve shot it once so far, and we both agree it’s a bit more snappy than our Sig 365. That being said, she shot great with it. Really like the sights, which I think are NightFission or very similar. We have a Swampfax Sentinel that we’ll be putting on it but for now I want her to get a few hundred rounds through it irons only. The trigger isn’t quite as nice as my MR920 with 325 rounds through it, but like David said above, they smooth out with range time. It’s snappy enough that she’s probably only breaking it in 25-50 rounds at a time. My MR could be comfortably shot all day, the CR not so much. I didn’t shoot the 10 round mag at all as it left my pinky hanging, the 13 round was a perfect fit. It comes with one of each and a spare 13 round, which they had in stock, was $30.1 point

Couple of quick questions? What do you consider long range? And if it's purely for target knocking & you'll be dialing anyway, why go for such a fast chambering? It does nothing the Creedmore () doesn't, at the added expense of quicker throat erosion.1 point

Glad you found the show fun. If I was that close I would probably attend regularly also. Nice not seeing the same mega dealers, and jerky and taser salesman.1 point

"An individual is NOT allowed to build an 80% frame with the intent to sell it, but it's still legal to sell it, say if the original builder has had it for some length of time and no longer wants it" Your statement seems to answer the question. However, If such a firearm were used in a defensive shooting, it would seem to make any a civil lawsuit more complicated to defend in a jury trial. Could just be my perspective.1 point

Yes and ... no. Yes, in that the quality and resell are typically there. No, in the fact that most of the quality far exceeds the limits a normal recreational shooter will need or even approach using. It's kinda like saying is a Shelby Cobra Mustang worth it over a regular Mustang.1 point

$300 to get a slide milled for a dot is outrageous. Are they also refinishing the entire slide? Has SS changed the design and function of the Glock trigger (like Timney did)? If not, for $30 and an hour of time, you change the connector and striker spring and polish a couple areas and get results similar to what the $200 aftermarket triggers offer. This is mostly what they are doing.1 point
