  1. Getting back out of .45 and have one hell of a package up for sale. Springfield Armory TRP (new rollmark model) with Springfield SACS (Custom Shop) Professional grips, original grips, two Springfield mags. Barrel and bushing were sent to BAM Customs in Murfreesboro to color match the rest of the pistol. It's basically a SACS Professional clone. Round count is around 500. $1200 in the greater Nashville area. Now for an additional fee, I have the following that can be added to the package: - 3 CMC Powermags - 3 Wilson Combat Mags - 500 rounds of Winchester Ball in a sealed case. Everything for $1450.

  11. I think they're fantastic. I could spend hours in the Coker museum. There's several 1 of 1's in there, and they run.

  12. If they are transportation/car/motor people and Nashville ends up being the choice you can try the Lane Motor Museum. https://www.lanemotormuseum.org/ They have some really off the wall and quirky stuff there that is pretty interesting. Not just a bunch of muscle cars or high dollar super cars. They have planes, boats, micro cars, amphibious cars, motorcycles, and motorized oddities from all over the world.

  13. These editorials are great but they offer no proposed solutions and offer no facts as to the cause. MPD isn’t even running these kits. They are sent to the TBI and placed in a statewide queue. MPD is woefully understaffed. And let’s no forget that catching these people does nothing if they aren’t actually prosecuted. The system is failing at many levels from top down and side to side. I don’t have answers but I know just getting rape kits tested faster isn’t going to change much.

  14. Elton John has always been of my favorite artists. He is on his final tour, Farewell to the Yellow Brick Road, and was at Nissan Stadium last night. HE played for almost 2.5 hours and was fantastic. He does not quite have the same voice he used to and definitely does not have his high range anymore but it was still a fantastic performance and show. Nothing but hits for almost 2.5 hours. He ended his show with my favorite song of his Goodby Yellow Brick Road.

  15. I think if more people understood the numbers of blood kits, DNA samples, and rape kits that were submitted and the time each takes and amount of forensic scientist they would be shocked. The new scientists will help but realistically you want a state lab it has to be funded and staffed to be the state lab.

  16. MPD has been a mess for many years and it just keeps getting worse. Everyone knows, or at least believes, that the new Police Chief Cerelyn Davis was hired not for her qualifications, but simply because she was the politically correct choice. So far she hasn't impressed me or anyone I know at all. The rape kit problem has been well known for at least 10 years. The Eliza Fletcher case brought it to the front once again. But I did notice that getting her kit tested was bumped to the front of the line due to the publicity. But what about the victims who have been waiting years for justice? The other day Gov. Lee announced that 25 more lab techs will be hired for the State lab. But hiring and training new people will take time and the backlog is years long. Plus all these new people will need lab space to work and equipment. Don't expect anything to change anytime soon.

  17. I will call myself lucky when I was able to pick up a new Saiga in 7.62 NATO/308, yes it is made to shoot both. As well as a Saiga 12 gauge. These are built in the same plant in Mother Russia as the AK. Thanks to obummer the imports were stopped and the price has gone up. The 7.62/308 worked flawless out of the box. The 12ga needed work, after new adjustable gas puck system and firing a few 100 rounds it now works flawless, even with low brass weak loads. Both are accurate, I have shoot the 7.62/308 out to 300 yards hitting a paper plate, 12ga to100 yards in a paper plate with slug, my hand loaded rounds. All in all it is a good platform, easy to operate, and clean. Finding ammo at a good price is another matter, as we all know.

  18. I have 2 ak74's from when I worked at TGI. They are far more accurate than the 7.62x39 round out of the 47. I buy up non corrosive ammo when I can find it for around 25 cents per round or less. Usually find it at that price on online auction houses. I built up a few thousand 74's when I worked at TGI.

  19. The gas cylinder contour is different on the 74's. The gas is comes out at 90 degrees rather than the angled set up on a 47. Not a big deal, both work as long as you aren't expecting 100 percent parts interchangeability.

  20. I have one and sometimes wish I didn’t. They are entirely too much fun and quite accurate. It’s like a Pez dispenser for ammo. Mine is the basic model with a “traditional” stock. It wears a Sig Romeo 5 on top. Wish I could shoot it every day. Basically, I highly recommend.

  21. Huge fan of the AK platform. Hoping to eventually get one in every available caliber. I did have someone tell me I don't own an AK47, but an AKM. That started an hour long discussion on the differences between the two, lol.

  25. If that’s true, then first order of business would need to get them out to a gun range to get them right. as participants, not targets…in case that wasn’t clear

  27. So, I saw someone mention this on a listing, and did some research to confirm and also gain more information as to which powders were going to be discontinued. The following powders, due to inconsistent supply since 2019, are now officially being removed from Hodgon's powder line. IMR 4166, 4451, 4955, 7977, and 8133. These powders will no longer be available after current packaged and distributed inventory is gone. Source(s): Powder Valley, and a customer service rep at Hodgon.
