  2. Being any kind of Law Dawg is a tough way to earn a living. I could not have done it. God bless anyone who tries to do the job. And it's like anything else, you get some mostly good ones and some bad ones slip through. I have always understood that a Hero is a person, while everyone else around them is soiling themselves, keeps a calm mind and does what needs to be done to keep the bad guys at bay. Based on my simplified logic, this Deputy surely fits the bill. There are folks alive tonight in Macon County that would not be if he hadn't wrecked the nutcase. Well done Deputy Shipley, very well done.

  3. Please don't hate me cuz I'm a Californian lol, 33 years in Long Beach, CA - last year was in Tempe, AZ but after my last layoff I threw a hail mary (cuz I wasn't going back to Cali) and move to Hermitage, TN within 2 weeks of receiving a job offer and start date out here. Love all the greenery, lakes, and small town feel in the outskirts of Downtown Nashville. I'm a big Ducks fan (sorry Smashville), Chargers and used to be Angels fan but I lost all interest in MLB years ago. I'm part of a Titans fan group on facebook, big fantasy football player so I cheer for a bunch of teams and Titans are definitely one of them lol own a Toyota 4Runner 4wd, 12 ft kayak for lakes/rivers, and a few guns. Love to start venturing out into the wilderness or learn how to fish from my sit-in kayak (unless yall got a boat, I'll take a boat anyday over my kayak lol) loved my time in Arizona and now in Tennessee....it's great to feel more personal freedom then I ever got to experience for most my life

  8. https://www.newschannel5.com/news/macon-county-deputys-car-careens-with-rogue-suv-to-save-homecoming-crowd I’m not usually a big banner waving supporter of LEO in general, but may God bless the RSO who stopped this idiot. For years, I would have kids standing in his path during the annual homecoming parade. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with people, but something has to change. Thanks for tolerating my rant.

  10. I live pretty close to him. You wanna send me the money and I could pick it up for you. Function and safety check it for you (I need money for ammo too!) and then you would t need to be in a rush to get over this way! When you do it will be ready for you to pick it up!! At your leisure of course!

  11. I think by now it should be well known that I love the M1A. I have 4 of them. Unless you want to go with a very expensive custom build, right now I think Springfield Armory is the only current maker. In years past, I know that Norinco and Federal Ordnance made them. But those have been unavailable for a long time are getting very hard to find. But if you look long enough, you might find one. However, it won't be much cheaper than a SA. If you go with SA, I highly suggest the Scout/Squad model with the 18" barrel. I find this to be the perfect compromise between barrel length and good handling. if you're interested in long range (200 yards +) spend the extra bucks on a National Match model.

I'll get some more pictures up with what's included. 6 Wilson ETM Mags., 6 Mag. Spring Kits, and some more small parts and Wilson Gun Bag(pictures of the gun and parts will be up this afternoon) SOLD. 2nd. Is a Custom Built Remington 700 by RITTEN PRECISION out of Louisiana. 20" Bbl. 308cal. McREES Aluminum Chassis in OD Green, 10rnd. Box Mag. Leupold 4×14×50 Mil. Dot Reticle, Atlas Bipod, Jewel Adj. Asking $3000 for this one. Price Drop- $2650, again feel free to PM me a reasonable offer. Added a picture of the target that I shot after getting everything installed, I shot this group using the bi-pod while in the prone position I hadn't shot in that position for sometime. The range we were using only went to 125yrds. so I set the scope for 200yrd. zero using the ballistic chart for the Federal 175grn Gold Match Ammo. Thanks for looking, you won't be disappointed, the trigger breaks around 2# and is smooth as glass.. No trades right now, I'm located in Whitehouse TN area, would meet in the Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Nashville area, but I'm willing to drive some to make a deal on either one of them. Please PM me with any questions or if you need some more pics. I'll post some more later on today. First to post "I'LL TAKE IT" gets first chance. Firm on prices but reasonable offers will be considered, please PM any to me. Thanks for looking, and I'll get more pics up this evening.

  14. I'm giving serious consideration to buying a sorta dream rifle of mine. I have had a years long hankering for an M1a/M14 & I'd really like to see what, if anything, is out there & current values/prices. I guess this is a bit of a fishing thread.... My only must-have is that it's got to be a wooden stock. I know there are different models available, in different configurations & barrel lengths, but as long as it has a proper stock, I'm probably ok with it. I do have to move a few things before i buy (unless it's an honest to god bargain) so there's no guaranteed sale here, unless you're open to trade. If you have something that fits the bill, please let me know! Thanks. EDIT: OK, I've raised the funds (very productive morning at the gunshow!) & I'm now ACTIVELY looking for a Scout Squad. Preference is still a wood stock though...

  15. Thanks to the hard work put in by the fine folks at Knife Rights a few years back, there are no restrictions on the type or size of bladed instrument you can carry. Carry whatever you find appropriate.

  18. I'm guessing there's a mixture of everything from 125gn to 180gn. Some milsurp, Barnes, Winchester & Remington. Some FMJ, some SP. All carefully packed in a 5 gallon bucket. It's a damn good bucket though! Lowes branded & everything! There's 150 rounds total & all i know about it, is that it's all factory stuff. NO RELOADS. If anyone can use it as range fodder & brass, I'd take $120 for the lot.
