  3. I do too, but sometimes a criminal's grandmother mortgages her house to bail out her baby because he's such a good kid. My wife had a cousin like that. 500 isn't low, but I was surprised it wasn't higher, given that he's a prior offender for the same thing and that he took off when he saw the cops. On another note, I heard there was a FB page about the case. I'm no FB fan, but I got on my wife's page and found it. Big mistake. There are apparently a lot of women who will have a 20 year orgasm if if turns out the husband had something to do with it. Facts are irrelevant, speculation is king, and these women are losing their damn minds. Kinda chilling that these people could end up in a jury box. I think my IQ was about 10 points lower by the time I stopped reading. I feel sorry for the husband. He may end up being involved, but until then, he's guilty until proven innocent in some folks' minds.

  4. Got one a few months ago. Standard type stock. Fun to shoot and accurate for a pistol caliber carbine. I put on a low power shotgun scope and at 50 yard shots are in about a two inch group. I have bad shoulders so this will be my new "big gun".

  5. Is there any interest in having a monthly meet? Maybe at a restaurant one Friday? Couple beers, good food, and funny stories sounds like a blast. Any takers?

  8. Have some exciting ventures going on and wanting to raise some additional capital, so one of the collection pieces is up for sale. This is a Bulgarian kit (yes original barrel) that was built as a group buy on the AKForum years ago. The kit is built on a Nodak receiver and has the ALG trigger installed. I might have the original tapco trigger kit but have no idea where it would be. I have not been able to determine the nationality / mount pattern of the side rail, I believe it is Chinese as my RS Regulate mount for standard AKM mount does not fully engage. Comes with sling, bayonet, Plum Izzy mag, and two commercial Bulgarian mags. $1900 in the greater Middle TN area.

  11. So far, so good! Taping ALL the stock is correct, so good job there. Whatever you leave untaped will get bedding compound on it (Murphy's Law.) Good luck with bedding the stock. I hope it goes well.

  14. IDK, the guy is shaping up like a drug dealer. He may have that in petty cash. And if he does make bail, you can bet he'll be gone in a hurry. But I do fear that at this point they're looking for a body.

  15. Doubt if he can make that bond. Even ten percent of it.

  20. I bought them 6 months ago then sold the G21. The new owner had extras so did not need these. They are in new yet opened condition, no scuffs or marks, been loaded but not fired.

  21. I have the same model as TrippleGGG with a Romeo 5 red dot. I let a buddy shoot it last week and now he has to have one too. I don't own a 9mm Glock so I had to buy some mags. I got the Magpul mags that are Glock compatible and had no failures at all. Very much fun to shoot.

  22. I love that this is still alive... Not really, but I mean you just kinda have to roll with it.

  23. Nope. As long as it starts as a pistol or receiver, or anything other than a “rifle”, it can be assembled into a rifle configuration and back out again however much you choose with no issues at all.

  24. They do. In the Ruger PC G19 mags look silly and the 33 round mags look absurd. The 24 round mags are perfect. They really tie the looks of a rather homely carbine together.

  25. I can’t help with the holster but I’d be interested in the 19 if you get tired of it.

  26. The M2.0 isn't much of an improvement on trigger IMO. The Shield+, newest model of the shield, and only available in 9mm, has the newest trigger style of all M&Ps. The 2.0's still have the hinged trigger like the 1st gen.

  27. I had this talk with my Wife years ago about this. I asked her to please fight back. She looked at me like I was an idiot and told me if they were going to kill her, they'd have to do it on the spot. I only asked that she have an empty mag when it was over. I need to have this talk with my Daughter. She once asked me if monsters existed. I told her they did, but they don't look like they do in the movies. She asked me what they looked like and my Wife told her "They look like your Father, your teacher, or your neighbors". It's very important that you don't look like a victim.

  31. To my knowledge, this is not even a thing in TN. If he’s worried about it you guys could come up with a bill of sale as proof that he passed ownership to you.

  32. I have the basic model with a Vortex red dot. It's everything Garufa says it is. Totally fun. Cheers, Whisper

  33. I have one and sometimes wish I didn’t. They are entirely too much fun and quite accurate. It’s like a Pez dispenser for ammo. Mine is the basic model with a “traditional” stock. It wears a Sig Romeo 5 on top. Wish I could shoot it every day. Basically, I highly recommend.

  34. It boils down to situational awareness. It may not stop a crime, but it may keep you from being the victim. I was sitting in my truck yesterday while my wife grabbed a pick up order. Two young dudes where walking all over the parking lot. They eventually came and stood in front of my truck talking. At that time I held my P365 in my lap and made eye contact with them. They walked off, but they were still walking all over the parking lot when we left. Typical of my wife, see didn’t see the big deal.

  35. You chose wisely. Reloading is not hard at all but it does require some attention to detail, like ensuring the powder charge remains constant along with bullet seating depth and crimping. Often the equipment needs to be tweaked during a session. It’s best to learn on a single stage rather than a progressive starting out.

  36. I have a 7.5 and a 10.5 and I really enjoy the “chest thumping “ effect you get standing to the side and slightly behind the shooter!!

  38. You can do it. Buy one of those acra-glass kits from Brownell's. I would only bed the action and free float the barrel. I have one rifle that I full contact bedded and it shoots great but it's quite a bit more work. Be sure to follow the instructions about the release agent. You will need to knock it apart with a rawhide hammer to get it apart

  39. It's not hard. A bedding kit and a dremel will look good. Use clay for the locks and release agent.

  40. Never mind, you're a bit too far for me. Good luck with selling, it's a beautiful piece, I've been trying to get my hands on one of these ever since my step dad passed away and we cant find his one issued in the Corps. I have his 1911, but couldn't find his M9.

  41. Posting just so I don't miss out on internet history. RIP Tanker - you may he dead (or not) but your wackiness lives on. Banned but not forgotten. Better to burn out than fade away... I feel compelled to get a SS Tisas 1911 just to 'live the moment' & experience the genius / disaster of the gun (as the chips may fall) for myself. This thread may have sold more Tisas than the original Guns & Ammo article. Now THAT'S saavy marketing. Well done Tanker, well done.
