  1. Entire segments of gun-toting professionals, competitive shooters, and armed civilians who take the craft seriously. It kind of blows my mind that there is anyone left who hasn't noticed the resurgence of the 2011 over the past few years.

  4. I think I made a bunch of meaningful progress. The most important thing I realized is...this is not an important issue. The vehicle makes this clicking noise when in Accessory mode, engine and AC off. This makes me think it is actuator related or something similar. Low and behold, turns out that this is a very common "issue" with 4Runners. https://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/169073-ticking-noise-behind-dash-4th-gen.html It indeed sounds like it is coming from behind the dash/behind or beside the glove box. I changed the cabin filter the other day and today went back into that location for troubleshooting this issue. I followed some of the instructions on that thread showing you to turn your air to as low as it will go to the highest it'll go. I cycled back and forth a few times as well as cycled the vents (floor, face, defrost, etc) a few times. From hearing the tick to doing all of this, the ticking stopped. Fingers crossed, hopefully it won't come back on the short term. There is this, which I'd probably do if I have to just to eliminate the noise:

  7. Sold my 12 gauge so I do not need this ammo anymore. I am interested in trades for 9mm, 45 ACP, and 7.62x51 (.308). Asking $250 for all of it. I looked up each type of ammo here and used the lowest price available online and it totaled $321.50. So $250 for the lot of shells is a $71.50 discount off of the lowest prices online currently. Sling show in pic is already sold. 200 rounds of winchester birdshot 75 rounds of Wolf birdshot 25 rounds of winchester super X birdshot 100 rounds of winchester super X 5 shot 25 rounds of Remington 5 shot 50 rounds of winchester super X 4 shot 25 rounds of winchester ranger 00 buckshot 20 rounds of federal power shok slugs 9 rounds of gatekeeper

  8. I imagine they're pushing their Dragonfly optic, or whatever it's called, but I'm with you on wanting other options. The AOS mounting system should make that a non-issue. I'm not ditching my C2 for one of these but I can see buying one or two of them for myself and the wife. I want something to carry that I'd be a little less bothered by if it got banged around in a class or I had to watch it disappear into an evidence vault if, God forbid, I had to use it to defend myself. And my wife is a sucker for the 1911/2011 and this would be a great way to give her one of her own.

  9. More information that excites me: Confirmed that Springfield licensed the Agency Optics System (AOS) from Agency Arms. This is an OMG moment for me as (a.) it's a hell of a smart move that provides an outstanding optics mounting design, and (b.) it means that Agency is willing to license the AOS to other manufacturers now and that will be great for everyone. The magazines are not made by MecGar as was previously reported but are made by DuraMag instead. If I had to choose between them, it's a no-brainer: DuraMag. They (DuraMag) also stated on social media that they worked hard to make these mags compatible with the Staccato series of pistols, so this means we will start seeing cheaper and arguably better mags for that platform as a result.

  13. Now $575 Gun, 4 mags and leather holster only $500 Up for sale is my M&P 2.0. 4.6" barrel, chambered in 45 ACP. S&W SKU 11523. Only used for one IDPA classifier and possibly a local match, and I'm sure it has less than 3oo rds. down the pipe. It is in excellent working condition with just a little wear on the extractor and barrel hood. Comes with Sm/Med regular backtraps, Med-Lg/Large beavertail backstops. I've added Dawson front fiber optic and rear blacked out sights and an APEX Duty/Carry kit with trigger. Also included is 4 x 10 round magazines, a Master-Tac competition holster and 2 mag pouches, and a Galco leather OWB holster. Box and paperwork included. I'm sure I can find a lock if you want one. Please pm with any offers or questions. Asking $575 FTF in the Nashville to Lebanon area.

  14. Two unfired rifles. I don't need 'em. In fact, I've spent more time taking pics of them than I've spent actually handling the guns. What I need is another fine shotgun. Think Perazzi, Krieghoff, Kolar in Over/Under guns and "Best" Side x Side doubles. Nice Winchester Model 21's are evil seductresses and, of course, welcome at the table, . I'm open to adding cash to the deal for guns with superior value. In terms of sale, here's my pricing on these: Knight's Armament Company SR25 - This is the real-deal one, folks! From the Vero Beach era of first-run originals! Comes with original owner's manual, removable carry handle and one KAC magazine (still unopened, sealed in the original plastic bag). Never had a round in the chamber since leaving the factory. $ale Pending HK MR 762 - Again, brand new with never a round chambered. Comes as pictured. $4,500 Both Guns to One Buyer in One Transaction - $10,000 (save $2,000). I'll consider offers based on real-world transactions if you want to do your homework. Please don't lowball without any references to recent transactions I can confirm. It isn't my intention to be rude but I simply won't respond to those kinds of messages/offers. These are high-end guns; I don't need to sell them. I like shooting birds and clay targets and can always use another tool for those endeavors. I served over 20 years active duty in the Army and have shot people - can't say I really enjoyed it. I'd rather shoot birds. These guns are registered to me. I only want to sell or trade with someone willing to meet in middle or East Tennessee and I'd prefer we meet at a gun shop and complete a transfer so they're in their new owners' name(s). I, of course, will be happy to do the same in a trade scenario. I took some quick photos for the purpose of this listing. I have some more on a flash drive but I think that's at my office. I will try to take more today and have them ready to share with you soon. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me. Email is usually the quickest way. Rick Green rgreen@valbridge.com

  17. Good grief! I thought for sure I had posted in this thread. It seems that somehow I missed it. There are three guns that I usually carry. My primary carry for most of the last 30 years has been a lightly modified 1959 Colt Commander in .45acp. When I want something smaller and lighter, I generally go with a S&W 642 J-frame .38 On my exercise walks I carry a Colt Mustang XSP. With its poly frame and stainless slide, its about as rust proof as a gun can get. Off and on for the last year or so, I have been experimenting with my Sig P-239. Nice compact 9mm, but really not much smaller than my Colt. The jury is still out on that one. But every now and then I just get an urge to carry something completely different just for S&G. It could be anything from a .25acp to a .45 Colt. Two favorites are a 3" S&W Model 13 and a Walther PPK/S. Old faithful

  24. I've got a Staccato C2 DPO (optics ready) and carry it often. If this 1911DS from Springfield doesn't suck, I can see myself buying one so as to have a less expensive option for carry purposes. The problem with Springfield is that you can buy two of the same gun from them and one will be perfect and trouble-free, and the other might be a complete trainwreck. I'm going to be interested in seeing how this one shakes out.

  25. Right, but first you have to be an FFL, have a Scheduled Pickup account, and enter into an approved firearms agreement, whatever that involves. Firearms just became the new HazMat. UPS accepts packages containing firearms (as defined by Title 18, Chapter 44, and Title 26, Chapter 53 of the United States Code) and firearm parts that do not constitute firearms as defined by federal law (together, “Firearm Products”) for shipment only as a contractual service and only from Shippers who are licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, or licensed collectors (as defined in Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code) to authorized recipients, as outlined in the approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products. Firearm Products may be shipped only through a UPS Scheduled Pickup Account using various UPS pickup services. To receive service for packages containing Firearm Products, the Shipper must enter into an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products. 2021 rules: UPS accepts Packages containing firearms (as defined by Title 18, Chapter 44, and Title 26, Chapter 53 of the United States Code) only (a) between licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, and licensed collectors (as defined in Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code), and government agencies; and (b) where not otherwise prohibited by federal, state, or local law from (i) an individual to a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer or licensed collector; and (ii) from a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector to an individual. Firearms (including handguns) are accepted for transportation only via Scheduled Pickup Service or at a UPS Customer Center.

  26. I’ve got a beautiful classic 1911 in 45 ACP. If you know anything about Para, this one was made in the original factory before Remington bought the brand. It was my old man’s and I love looking at it but that is about all I do is look at it and don’t give it the love it deserves. It’s got less than 200 rounds down it. 3 para mags come with it, 2 are unopened still. Has box, manual and everything else. I’ve got a few hundred rounds as well that I can throw into a trade if interested. I’m looking to get into a black sig p320 carry in 9mm. Open to any reasonable trades that include the sig or a cash offer if interested.

  30. Selling my 2015 New Holland Workmaster 35. It's got very low hours (68 total) and in perfect working condition. It's been stored out of the weather but does have very slight fading on the hood. I've hand waxed every inch of this machine and treated all the plastic with Armorall regularly. Comes with all the implements shown. Farm Equipment box blade with rippers, front bucket. Trailer is not included. Selling because we don't use it around the farm as much as we thought. 10-15 hrs have been driving my daughter around on my lap. Great machine, it's a workhorse. All the paperwork and service records are available. Asking $15,000 obo I can work something out with the buyer if you need it delivered. Thanks for looking. Shoot me a PM if you're interested or have any questions. Jon

  31. When I am volunteering on my church safety team, I wear an untucked camp style shirt and leave the bottom button undone. It allows for quicker and easier draw without getting hung up on the shirt. Depending on the make of the shirt, sometimes I have to buy a +1 size in order to get it loose enough to move freely around the gun. Some shirts just don't pass muster because they end up looking too big, so experimentation is necessary. I've had good luck with Columbia and Magellan camp/fishing shirts.

  34. I've posted my thoughts numerous times on TGO about red dot optics on handguns. I am not an early adopter but I have been on this journey now for about six years and easily have 25-30,000 rounds downrange in classes and leisure shooting with optics on maybe 8-10 different handgun platforms. Suffice it to say that I'm not new at this. IMO, optics on handguns are not the future. They are the present. They are here and now and are already mainstream among serious practitioners of the gun. The advantages far outweigh any disadvantages that still remain despite the rapidly evolving technologies in use. They provide increased speed of target acquisition, improved target and periphery awareness, improved target tracking and allow higher degrees of accuracy than iron sights do. Since the dawn of man when the first person picked up a rock or a stick and hurled it at an animal they were hunting or an adversary they were fighting, we used a single plane for sighting and aligning for the throw. We looked at the target. Rocks and spears don't come with a front sight and a rear sight. We looked at the thing we wanted to hit, we tracked its movement if there was any, and our brains and bodies did the rest through prioperception. Red dots allow us to do the same thing. We don't have to process three planes of a sight picture to use them. We don't use the complicated equation of rear sight (first plane), front sight (second plane) and target (third plane) for our eyes, brains and bodies to coordinate between. We look at the target, we see the dot, we pull the trigger. If you're still stuck in an iron sights world, my condolences. If you've tried a red dot and it "didn't work for you"... you might need a competent trainer to help you unlearn your old ways and learn the better way. It's not the optic, it's you. And the only thing wrong with that is not accepting that fact and working past it. The dot is the way.
