It was no accident. It was negligence. The guy who pulled the trigger should be arrested for wreckless endangerment. At some point you have to make an example of people.5 points

They beat Hawaii 63-10 last night. Being a Vandy fan, I don’t get many chances to brag. Just let me have this one if you will, please.4 points

My daughter has a 300 fourtrax I bought new in 1995 , no telling how many miles it has on it. Still in great shape and runs like a new one. It will start in any temperature weather without having to choke it. The 300’s are the best Honda ever made! BULLETPROOF!3 points

Don't be afraid of older Hondas, I wouldn't bat an eye of concern for a 2004 Honda 4x4 Foreman if been kept in good condition, and these can be had in the $2000 range, maybe that will allow you to keep your beloved Harley. My brother kept my dad's 2004 which was bought brand new in 2004. It looks the same and runs the same as the day he bought it new 18 years ago.2 points

Most of the clones offer features that you would spend a lot of money to have done to a stock Glock. Like the Shadow Systems guns (of which I carry one daily) that have features that would cost twice as much as the gun to add to a stock Glock. Some aren’t even compatible with a stock Glock at all, like their mounting system cuts. So if it helps to see where the value is, just remember how much it used to cost to buy a gun and send it off to Agency or Salient to have it worked over Gucci’d up and realize you’re getting that for much less with the out of the box clones.2 points

I've got a modern Pedersoli Kentucky rifle in .32 that I've not fired for a few years. I decided I'm going to hunt deer with it this fall, so I got it out and put a dozen rounds through it this afternoon. What a hoot! I'd forgotten both what fun and what a PITA the rifle can be! I store my BP arms with a liberal coating of Thompson's Bore Butter, and apparently I didn't get all of it out when I swabbed the barrel before taking the rifle out to shoot. The first attempt was the proverbial flash in the pan, and a couple of reattempts failed, too. So back to the barn and 20 minutes of cleaning the flash hole and blowing the grease out with high-pressure air. Then I packed as much 4F into the flash hole as I could, and then tried again. Kaboom. But what a pain! It was my error, or course, and one I'll try not to repeat. The rifle is accurate, but it's also really dirty. I have to alternate a dry swab and a solvent swab after every shot. And it took near an hour to clean the son of a gun when I was done. But I'm going to do it again soon. I could cut down the fouling by switching to Pyrodex, but I like black powder enough to make it worth the extra effort.1 point

Two unfired rifles. I don't need 'em. In fact, I've spent more time taking pics of them than I've spent actually handling the guns. What I need is another fine shotgun. Think Perazzi, Krieghoff, Kolar in Over/Under guns and "Best" Side x Side doubles. Nice Winchester Model 21's are evil seductresses and, of course, welcome at the table, . I'm open to adding cash to the deal for guns with superior value. In terms of sale, here's my pricing on these: Knight's Armament Company SR25 - This is the real-deal one, folks! From the Vero Beach era of first-run originals! Comes with original owner's manual, removable carry handle and one KAC magazine (still unopened, sealed in the original plastic bag). Never had a round in the chamber since leaving the factory. $ale Pending HK MR 762 - Again, brand new with never a round chambered. Comes as pictured. $4,500 Both Guns to One Buyer in One Transaction - $10,000 (save $2,000). I'll consider offers based on real-world transactions if you want to do your homework. Please don't lowball without any references to recent transactions I can confirm. It isn't my intention to be rude but I simply won't respond to those kinds of messages/offers. These are high-end guns; I don't need to sell them. I like shooting birds and clay targets and can always use another tool for those endeavors. I served over 20 years active duty in the Army and have shot people - can't say I really enjoyed it. I'd rather shoot birds. These guns are registered to me. I only want to sell or trade with someone willing to meet in middle or East Tennessee and I'd prefer we meet at a gun shop and complete a transfer so they're in their new owners' name(s). I, of course, will be happy to do the same in a trade scenario. I took some quick photos for the purpose of this listing. I have some more on a flash drive but I think that's at my office. I will try to take more today and have them ready to share with you soon. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me. Email is usually the quickest way. Rick Green rgreen@valbridge.com1 point

Looking for info on the place. From anyone who lives near or has ever visited the place. I'm working on a gathering for next Spring, for some friends from around the country. It says they have a couple ranges, 25, 50 ,and a 200 yarder. Anyone been there or live near, what are your thoughts on the place? Or do you know of somewhere similar that may be a better place. Thanks. RP1 point

If it was a vendor at an RK show they will absolutely ban them permanently and can easily enforce it. They are the promoters after all. It’s happened more than once in Knoxville.1 point

I’m transitioning from factory Glocks to the Shadow Systems offerings, which I have found to be superior “clones” thus far. In my opinion Glock is slacking when compared to keeping up with the features of its competitors. The only think they have done to the slide in the last 30 years is some shallow front serrations and a mediocre MOS cut. I’m always carried Glocks, and for what I’ve spent to make them comparable to a shadow systems pistol would cost almost double the MSRP on a shadow systems.1 point

There was a time when kids grew up with a knowledge of firearms and how to safely handle them. Once society started demonizing guns, that knowledge fell out of the mainstream and... well... here we are. I'd like to keep governments of any and all kinds out of the business of educating people about guns. That means it's on us to do the educating.1 point

Absolutely! My recon is 25 years old (1997 model) and was abused before I got it. I would ride it anywhere without hesitation. It was a $500 yardsale find. I have put a set of tires on it and a steering bushing. It got used most everyday for the first 3 years that I had it. Very durable machine.1 point

Last I checked, the UK and Japan aren't the same as Austria. My point, perhaps too subtle for you to follow, was that it's ridiculous for an Austrian to claim the US can't make great products anymore. Many countries, including Austria and the US, have different areas of industrial excellence, and areas where they are less competitive with other nations. Austria, for example, imports most of its food, while the US leads the world in food exports. Not surprisingly, US agricultural equipment (especially John Deere and Case) also leads the world. The US is also the global leader in construction and mining equipment (Caterpillar). Five of the top 10 medical device manufacturers in the world are American. And while I'm sure the Austrian military is proud of its Glocks, guess which country makes the Huey, Kiowa, and Blackhawk helicopters and the C-130 transport planes used by the Austrian Air Force? Just because it's popular in some circles to say the US can't make anything nowadays, that doesn't make it true. Cheers, Whisper1 point

Was it a vendor or random dude trying to sell? If vendor, they should be banned from future shows, not that you could enforce it. If soem random dude, the door screeners need a good talking to for sure. If we don't police ourselves, they will police us. We will not like it if they police us. Tin-foil moment though. Been going to gun shows for decades upon decades in a multitude of states and ND's were never really a problem. Now we have a larger than usual push from the left to ban everything, including gun shows and we have 2 in the same year in TN. How many in other states we do not know about... Not saying it's fishy, but it is starting to smell bad.1 point

Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye. The complete Trading Post Rules and also some more helpful suggestions can be found by clicking this link. Everyone should read them at least once! ~~~ This was an automatic reply ~~~1 point

I have shot a lot of 357Sig in duty sized weapons and carried one on duty for a very short period. I will say this, the 357Sig round has got to be the most accurate round I have ever shot in duty size pistol platforms. I have heard others say the same who have had extensive time with the 357 Sig cartridge. Yes, I shot tighter groups with a Glock in 357Sig and tighter groups with a Sig in 357Sig over their 9mm counterparts. However, there was always a slight bit more recoil with the 357Sig, but it didn’t effect accuracy. I don’t believe I ever thought it was as snappy as some people say 40S&W feels to them, but I don’t find 40S&W hard to shoot. The 357Sig always gave you the worst features of the 9mm with the worst features of the 40s&w. You get 40S&W capacity with .355-.356 diameter bullet. You don’t even get the cheap ammo advantage both 40 and 9mm offer. If you are a hand loader, the bottle neck 357 case is a little bit more difficult to handle. Nowadays, I wouldn’t bother with handloading 9, 40, or 357 Sig. I would just practice with factory made 9 or 40 in the appropriate barrel. I have not seen a single 357sig come through the local police academy since I have been instructing over the last two years. We do have a couple of small local agencies still using the 357sig in SE TN, or we did the last time I heard. The Chattanooga Housing Authority officers still have Glock 31, but there are plans to go to 9mm in the next two years. I know Meigs County and Decatur had 357sig Glocks the last time I asked, but this is roughly 60 officers total between the three agencies. The TWRA is also planning a transition to 9mm Glocks. I believe they, unlike THP, are going to do a pistol optic at the same time.1 point

Look for a local gun club which has IDPA matches. The clubs I have been involved in welcome newcomers. Most offer cheap intro to IDPA classes. They teach the basic weapons handling skills you will need IDPA does not have much emphasis on when or when not to shoot or legal stuff. It is simply a skill builder1 point
