Ok I usually wouldn't do this and I'm not an attention junkie. That being said I would greatly appreciate any prayers you can send for my son. Won't go into detail and lord knows I'm no Saint but I do believe prayers help. Thank you everybody4 points

Most of the clones offer features that you would spend a lot of money to have done to a stock Glock. Like the Shadow Systems guns (of which I carry one daily) that have features that would cost twice as much as the gun to add to a stock Glock. Some aren’t even compatible with a stock Glock at all, like their mounting system cuts. So if it helps to see where the value is, just remember how much it used to cost to buy a gun and send it off to Agency or Salient to have it worked over Gucci’d up and realize you’re getting that for much less with the out of the box clones.4 points

That rules out serpentine belt or a pulley issue. I would be willing to bet there is a shield on the exhaust system that has come loose and causing your problem.4 points

This is a new in the box model from Holosun. I have not even opened it up. I’ve decided iron sights work better for me for my carry gun, so I don’t need this. Has NOT been registered for warranty. I’m in east TN. Willing to ship within TN in same package I received optic from Holosun. Best price I’ve found is $339. Selling for $ or best reasonable offer.2 points

I can't hear the file, but on my Tacoma, I had a sound that would only present itself when I was idling, it turned out to be the heatshield around my CAT, the bolts had rusted through.2 points

Well my deaf old azz couldn't hear much of anything. However, it does seem to be intermittent and not at all rhythmic. Which is a good sign. Most likely something loose rather than worn out or broken. Remove the fan belt, shake and turn each pulley by hand. If something is bad, you will feel it.2 points

Picked this one up yesterday at my FFL. I bought it on another forum I belong to, it has SA Reciever, SA GI Bolt, SA GI Trigger Group, and a SA Oprod and a Krieger Bbl. Even though it's a CMP rebuild it looks great to me. Here's some pics let me know what you think about it.1 point

I was leaning more toward the fuel injectors, fuel rail, spark plug wires, coils, packs, etc. I'm not fluent in Toyota but I know I own a couple vehicles that have a distinct tick coming from under the hood that I've linked back to the fuel system and/or components of. I invested in a mechanics scope be able to pinpoint funny noises. Edited to add: I had a plug wire boot (insulator) making a similiar noise for a month before I tracked it down. It was intermittent and would go days without a peep then non stop for a day or two.1 point

I put a set of Hogue Pao Ferro on my SA-35 and have been more than happy with them. Hogue offers a number of nice woods, with or without checkering at a reasonable price. I have them on several of my semi-auto pistols. https://www.hogueinc.com/grips/browning-grips/hi-power/wood1 point

For sale. No trades. Mossberg 590 A1 Mariner! I outfitted it with wooden furniture for that '70s/'80s Retro look but I probably still have the synthetic furniture around here somewhere, if you want it. It's in at least 90% condition. These are super rare. I've only ever seen one in the wild and can't find any online. Bought it a few years ago and took it to the range once. It's been collecting dust ever since. These retailed for $780 plus tax/shipping and TICS, back when you could find them. Now, I can't find one for sale in stock anywhere. Will travel within 30 minutes of Spring Hill. Call/Text 615-300-3074 or message through here. Be a legal adult resident of TN in good standing. $800.1 point

I just ordered one the other day, should be here by the weekend. I'm anxious to try it out and see how well it does. Once I get everything put together and adjusted I'll post back and try to post a few pics also.1 point

Is this what you hear as you sit behind the wheel ? Does it sound different if its a cold engine vs warm ? And does it change tone or rhythm if you increase rpm?1 point

I know you’ll think I’m nuts but take a 3 foot wooden dowel and place one end on several spots on the engine while holding the other end to your ear. This will help to locate where on the engine the noise is coming from. I have a mechanics stethoscope for this. I can also find water with divining rods and tell you when fish will be biting.1 point

All 3 of my ARs are budget builds, using whatever parts I could find in sale. .223/5.56, .300blk & .350 legend. All are wearing simple 1.5-4x24 scopes & all are sub moa guns. The .350 is the only one shooting factory ammo, since I don't shoot it enough to warrant loading for it. The .300 & .223 I spent quite a bit of time on load development & don't scrimp on components. The .223 hovers around .925" at 100 yds with a 10 shot group. Not as good as it could be, I'm sure, but I only have $400 in it & it's more than accurate enough to keep me happy. I've honestly never tried a 10 shot group with the .300 but it puts 5 into +/- .75 at 100 & is strictly a <150yd hunting rifle. I think, honestly, manufacturing technology has improved so much in the last 20 years, inherently inaccurate rifles are more the exception than the rule these days. Bulk ammo manufacture though, is still purely a numbers game & the acceptable tolerance range is far, far broader. Font forget, most mil-spec ammo is passable if it will hit a torso sized target at 300. That's about 4+moa.1 point

Ideals are ideals and reality is reality. The reality is that those of us who want to carry a firearm for our own protection are the minority. As a minority, we have to accept conditions under which the majority will not object so strenuously that our right to do so loses the protection of the law. I believe that certain rights are inalienable from a philosophical standpoint but from a 'real world' standpoint there simply isn't any such thing as an 'inalienable' right. The moment those in power decide that we can't legally carry a gun - or even own one - then we can't legally carry a gun or even own one. The best way to gain support for those who would like to see that very thing come to be is to turn every jacknuts with a screw loose or every dim bulb with the IQ of wet Kleenex loose on the streets with a gun. I know this might not be the most popular view but, having worked with adults with mental disabilities (mental retardation) - which also often comes with a suite of mental illnesses (such as a couple who were psychotic, one that had multiple personalities and some that were potentially even worse) and who had little to no control over their emotions or ability to think rationally I say that not everyone needs to be allowed to own a firearm much less carry one. Remember that the Founding Fathers didn't believe that all rights extended to everyone, either. Their thought was that only male landowners should be allowed to even vote. Live in a boarding house? Can't vote. You are a worker on someone else's farm and live there as part of your compensation? Can't vote. Woman? Can't vote. Of course, voting is considered to be the most basic of American rights and obligations but even that right wasn't really considered to be 'inalienable' to the Founders where everyone was concerned - only to certain people who met certain criteria.1 point
