I'm afraid that you are very out of date. For several decades now, the "Golden Rule" has been them that have the gold make the rules. This is how government has worked throughout at least my lifetime. I am a Christian. I try to live by God's word. However, I readily admit that I'm not a particularly good one. I do have some rather un-christian moments from time to time. However, I make great effort to not be a hypocrite. To me, that's the worst sin of all. And many churches are filled with it.4 points

That is a loaded question. Short version, if you believe Christ died on the cross for your sins, you are a Christian. However just because you are a Christian, that does not mean you are necessarily a good person. All kinds of bad have been done in the name of Christ. To me it is pretty simple. Christ taught Love for your fellow man. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The “Golden Rule” our grandmothers taught. I suppose I could be wrong in my interpretation of what Christ wanted. But I follow my heart. Maybe I won’t go to heaven unless I spew hate and whatnot in the name of Christianity. However, if that is the case, I’m not sure that is a heaven I want to go to.4 points

Manufacturers have responded by making carry guns smaller and smaller yet people keep adding on doodads and extended magazines to get back where we started.3 points

We brought home 3 cats about like this one my wife is so proud of. Got a couple more to the boat but didn’t get em in. We also caught many bluegills, black bass, skipjacks, drums etc. Ran into an old friend at the dock. He gave us a bass he’d hooked deep and killed. It was a great day. He and his wife had caught a bunch as well. We had a delicious fish dinner.3 points

I am a doctoral level psychotherapist and my clients, unless they look up my bio or ask my educational qualifications never know it. The "title" gets in the way of trust and relationship.3 points

Not really loaded. I think that non-Christians sometimes assume everyone they disagree with is a Christian. It's almost like a poke in the chest. A lot of Christians don't realize you can be a good moral person without being a Christian. I've never really understood why some people dislike Jewish people either. I've never met someone that was Jewish that I disliked as a person. However my morality may not be the norm for a Christian or non-Christian and that's okay with me. I will continue to treat people of faith with respect until that person proves to be unworthy of that respect. My Wife happens to be a Christian. I adore and admire her with all my heart, but I just can't believe what I don't believe and I do not have the right to demand She change her beliefs.3 points

People on this forum mention their faith often, then go on to show a complete lack of empathy and care for their fellow human. It's been like this the entire 10+ years I've been a member.3 points

It is not. What it is, however, is a reliable indicator of a person with an unusual amount of drive and dedication. My hat’s off to all who’ve done it. I have not.2 points

I really miss the days when no one gave a chit what the rich people in DC did. Rich folks do what rich folks do. Don't, hasn't and will never matter , left or right. Not a thing that matters, EVER changes. I'm not a racist unless politics is a ethnicity. It is weird now though. Used to at least truth mattered. Then the news became a business. Now we only hear what we want to hear. Only listen to people that eat out of the same dumpster that we do. I wish we would STOP electing rich people. BUT......that cost money. We don't spend money on things that we need. OK OK my rant is over! Wish you the very best recovery Jill Biden. I would hate to see another American pass from a PREVENTABLE disease.2 points

This is what I did. Picked up one for my 22/45 and spent some time at the range. That sold me on them. Much quicker and easier to pick up a single dot. You do have to learn how to “find” the dot, but once you have that down you’re good to go. Something else I found easier was leaving both eyes open for aiming. Have always had a hard time using irons that way, but a red dot made all the difference.2 points

Because aligning a red dot on a target is easier and faster than trying to align 3 tiny white dots on the same target. Try one. You'll very quickly understand why they've become all the rage.2 points

I got COVID in June and it was the most mild illness I've ever had. I only knew I had it because I tested myself after getting a mild fever. I've had hangovers worse than this. I can't prove the vaccine made my case mild but my gut says it did. I'm really not sure the point of this thread or why the people that are so against the vaccine seem to be so excited from the examples of vaccinated people testing positive. As if this somehow vindicates your decision. My non vaccinated friend got COVID a few weeks ago and was very ill. Do you think I laughed at him and said "that's what you get"? No I didn't. I'm over this whole pandemic but it seems the people still talking about it the most are this crowd of supposed Christians getting joy from other people catching it. Y'all need to let it go. Not trying to single you out specifically @deerslayer, just noticing a theme with these threads about COVID and it's getting old.2 points

I’ve met a few who do. They’re not people you want to meet, but it was a great red flag before folks started putting pronouns in their bio.2 points

Selling my JP GMR-15 9mm Rifle w/Side Charger. I am asking $1800.00 Firm for the rifle. I have a total of 3125 rounds through the rifle and it is in excellent condition. No Trades Please. I prefer payment in Cash, Cashiers Check, or USPS Money Order only please. Thanks for looking. Sold - Thanks TGO1 point

I picked up a rifle from a wonderful member of this forum last week. The rifle is way too nice for me honestly. It's intended use will be riding on my side by side or 4 wheeler, which in my experience is one of the roughest things you can do to a gun. I did what I could, I ordered some self adhesive medical pre wrap tape (available on Amazon in a variety of camp patterns and solid colors). I paid $8.50 for 4 rolls and used 2 on the rifle. I'll probably order several more and do some of my other rifles as well. If you aren't familiar, the tape is non adhesive but sticks to itself. I believe it will do a good job protecting against dings and scratches. 20 years ago I would have bought a wood stocked rifle and just used it, but as expensive as they have gotten I'll do what I can to keep them in good shape.1 point

Since you have a Glock, buy an Agency Arms Syndicate slide with the AOS optic mounting system so that you aren't married to a single optic or style of optic. It's like the Glock MOS system, but... reliable.1 point

Ive got one on a Hellcat RDP and I much prefer it to 3 dot style irons. I have an easier time keeping both eyes open. As far as finding the dot, turn the brightness up. Its not like irons where you need to focus on the front sight and blur the target. Look through the glass, dot over target and start squeezing. Thats what works for me anyways.1 point

I once dated a woman who had 2 PHDs. She may have been highly educated, but that poor gal was dumb as a box of rocks.1 point

Yeah I think that's what I will do. The first time I seen it, I was like....wtf! but I have been thinking on it all morning. I guess I will just have to find out. I maybe on here in a few with a new red dot on my M&P45c singing its praises! I thank you all for your help and opinions.1 point

If you need reading glasses, it can be very hard (if not impossible) to see the sights on a pistol without them. While 'Point and shoot' will get you a long way, accuracy at any significant distance requires dot sights (or a scope). I have dot sights on a couple of carry pistols (including my primary), a 10/22 pistol, and a PC Carbine.1 point

Well, according to the Holosun site, it’s still listed as “coming soon” so the reason you can’t find it might be that it isn’t quite available yet. A preorder might be the only option here.1 point

Out of all my usual suspects I couldn't find any in stock anywhere, just pre-order. I'm no help either.1 point

For the record: other than a poor choice in mates, I have nothing against Jill Biden. I hope she comes through this with minimum trouble.1 point

Off subject, but how do you guys know someone's a Christian? I'm no one. So is there a secret handshake or something? I guess I've never looked for signs. I have zero issues with someone having religion unless that religion tells them to kill me. Just curious. I hear this a lot.1 point

My niece married a guy whose last name is Love. Last year he got his doctorate in education. Whenever he shows up around here, some of the kids always have the Kiss song “DR Love” cued up on their phone and ready to play as he walks in. In other news, it appears the vaccine is really working swimmingly.1 point

I prefer stolen guns be returned to their owners or auctioned off if no owner can be found if they have any value. Many agencies are too exuberant in destroying said firearms, regardless of what the law allows.1 point

I’ve met more than my share of them that almost demand to be called Doctor. Damn they’re fun to mess with. I’ve asked many of them to check my pulse to see if it seems right to them. I was an EMT for 12 years and could always come up with a new ailment. My God the looks they would give me. Priceless!1 point

We really should find another name for not actual medical doctors. Calling a PhD or and Ed.D “doctor” has never struck me as sensible.1 point

That motel 6 needs to turn it's lights off, drugs are the death of this country. This type of crap goes on daily here and around the country. Of course they will focus on the weapons they used and forget about the murder, just more fuel on the1 point

I gained a new daughter in law last night. Looks like anothe may be in the making in the future. I’m truly blessed, but how the hell did I get here? These boys are still supposed to be playing little league baseball in my mind!1 point
