Been eyeing this gun for a year. Ended up buying one two months ago JUST before they sold the last of them! The recoil is almost non-existent which is great because the original British SUSAT optic requires you put your eyebrow up to the optic. I was genuinely worried I was going to end up with a black eye but the rifle shoots insanely flat. I know it isn't for everyone but this rifle hits all my marks on looks for milsurp. The British SUSAT optic is 4x and incredibly clear. I just replaced the tritium that was originally in the optic (removed due to export). Just need to find myself a strap, bayonet, and possibly the bipod!6 points

When the officers were trying to cuff him, that ATF agent sounded like a typical street thug- "I'm not getting on the ground", "I'm not resisting" (as he is resisting), "I have a medical condition", "I can't breathe", "My wife is pregnant". What a jerk drama queen.3 points

Hey folks! I have another piece for your consideration. I got these pieces a few years back (2020) but never trained in it and unfortunately need to sell to put in the piggy bank for my wife’s fertility treatments. These items have been hiding for a rainy day and have never been worn outside of my home. For fitting purposes I am 6”1, 235lb, 36 waist, 46-48 chest and fits me great. Originally purchased when I was a larger man around 330 and the gear also fit to that size so a great amount of adjustability, smaller or larger. Smoke free home Brand New AR500 Armored Republic Level III+ lightweight 10x12 ALSC multi curve plates with Frag Lock build up coats. Brand New Haley Strategic Flatpack 2.0 carrier pack Multicam. Includes straps for backpack setup. Brand New Armored Republic Valkyrie Plate Carrier Multicam with 3 AR15 mag carrier with 3 pistol mag carrier. Multicam radio pouch also included along with Filled Quick Detach IFAK. Includes cat turniquet, and basic combat med supplies. I am a RN and have filled it with items I have found needed in the field. Carrier does accept side plate carrier/6x8 plates. Brand New Level IIIA High Cut Multicam Bulletproof It helmet size large/xl (standard male head). Includes authentic 3M Peltor flip ear pro mounts and side rails. Also includes a Wilcox L4 shroud nods adapter. I will throw in the Walker Razors. Includes packaging, and all accessories pieces as came. Unfortunately, that Detective was never intended to handle factory loads that run 45,000 psi chamber pressures. Thats like double what the 32 H&R has in a factory load. It would be a nice upgrade in 32 H&R and safe to shoot all day long without worry of putting the cylinder out of time and rattling the cylinder pin. Those parts are rinky dink duty to hold 45K in check. The net says they developed the round in a Ruger SP101. That like half ton PU to a Kenworth in construction strength.....not even close. Consider the 327 is dam near 357 mag pressures. Step back to the H&R and its a tad better than the OEM but then do you really want to bubba such a fine condition old Colt? If it was a tackle box rat, thats one thing, but that sure doesent look like one to me. The good thing is, it would still shoot whats stamped on the barrel just as well with the lengthend chamber so it could be your secret if you want it to be. Any Gunsmith could do the job, They would only need to rent a 32 H&R cylinder piloted reamer from 4D rentals , cut n polish and done. Good Luck with it.2 points

For your consideration: a 100+ year old British revolver. This piece has been sitting in my safe for 2 years after I inherited it and I realized it needs to go to someone who will appreciate it. Mechanically it appears to be excellent; locks up tight. Dry-firing, everything feels and sounds good. The cylinder is uncut (cutting these was common) and the seriel number #2399, matches the frame. Cosmetically....good for its age! However, there are a couple things of note: The grips have pieces missing. Your options are to get them repaired, find an intelligent person with a 3-D printer, or leave as is. The nickel is decent but with several spots of wear and pitting. The barrel crown shows considerable wear. I tried to document the deficiencies in the photos. The bore looks pretty good. Although this is legally an antique and could be mailed, I doubt anyone would buy this sight-unseen. I will drive about 60 miles to meet someone for the sale. $1100.001 point

I ordered it new and have fired 20 rounds or so thru it, Handles and performed flawlessly, but, I believe would rather have the 4 inch version or the 4 inch Wilson EDC-9 or equivalent. Like new, zero damage, comes with everything from factory. Wilson Combat SFX-9 SC3, 9mm handgun with a 3.25 inch barrel, I have both the 10 round and the 15 round magazine, range bag, box and all other items from Wilson. Beautiful craftsmanship, would make a great everyday carry gun. Top trade possibilities- 4 inch version of either the Wilson Combat SFX- 9 or EDC- 9 or equivalent. Possible trades- STI, Staccato, Ed Brown, Nighthawk Or will sell for $2600, I have over 3k in it. FTF transaction with Bill of sale to TN lisc holder only1 point

Uh, crime is already out of hand there. It is everywhere else but it does seem to be especially acute in Memphis/Shelby County. If you haven’t had something stolen, jacked, witnessed an offense firsthand or seen the aftermath of a crime you have no idea what it is like. I’m quite certain there is no recall allowed anywhere in Tennessee.1 point

And the clearing out continues. Putting both of these under one thread to try and not spam the forum too much. New Precision Mathews 1440GT Lathe with LCD DRO. Long story short, I had another PM lathe and had some issues so they offered to let me upgrade to this one made in Taiwan. I had to wait a year to get it and if you order now, there is still about a year wait. These are highly regarded lathes. Mine has what is called the Jacobs conversion which is just the VFD setup that allows this 3 phase machine to run on single phase, but Mark (Jacobs) builds in options for variable speed, proximity stop (very nice when threading to a shoulder), two speed breaking, and some other nice functions. If someone is really interested, I can provide all of the info and details. For TGO I am going to include 3 8" chucks (a 3 jaw, 4 jaw, and TMX 3 jaw Set-Tru). These are a lot of money in and of themselves. I have an Aloris type BXA quick change toolpost with a lot of holders for an additional price if the buyer would be interested. TGO price is $xxx with the chucks. To buy this now for the same setup would be $xxxx. This is not a cheap lathe, but is about the best value out there for the quality. This has a 5 year warranty. 2nd is a Jet JTM-4VS mill. This is basically a Bridgeport clone. It is also 3 phase, but running on a VFD with push button controls. It is variable speed via either the head or the VFD. Has a pneumatic drawbar, and powerfeeds on X and Y. It will include a Touch DRO controller that uses an Android Tablet as the DRO. When I bought it, it had optical scales on the X and Y which are still on and work with the TouchDRO. I bought 3 new Magnetic scales so I could add one to the Z and replace the X/Y, but I hadn't got around to it yet. They will be included. I will also include the 6" Kurt vice which has soft jaws on it right now, but I also have the original hard jaws. Could be repainted in spots, but other than that it is in good working condition. Price is $xxx for TGO'rs. Both of these machines are hooked up and can be run. I can load them on your trailer with my tractor. Any questions, just let me now.1 point

Ours may not be as specific as theirs re: motorcycles (I have no idea what Brazil's actual law is), but couldn't we do the same under our current use of force laws? Why would using a vehicle be any different than using a firearm? If the attacker is placing you or another in reasonable fear of imminent death or serious bodily harm, a Buick may be just as effective as a Bushmaster, IMO. I can see the Tacticool ads for M-Lok bumpers in both gun and car mags already . . . .1 point

yea I just spent a year in Tempe, enjoyed the east valley a lot more then any other. Definitely right, I came back to Long Beach, CA for a month and this state is worse off every few months. Az is ridiculous now too because prices aren't far off from California due to the massive population boom. Refused to live in 110-115 degree heat for the current price. lol1 point

I have had one for some time. They shoot 286 gr mostly. They are slightly ahead of a 35 Whelen. It would kill a cape Buffalo with a solid just make sure you're in a very large tree when you shoot him.1 point

So i recently put a gem of a Detective Special on layaway, chambered in .32 Colt NP aka .32 S&W long. I would like to have it reamed to accept .32 H&R Magnum or preferably .327 Fed Mag. Are there any gunsmiths local to Knoxville who would be up to the challenge? Ive seen Det Specials reamed to .32 H&R mag, but I cant find one in .327 fed. Not sure if its a pressure issue, OAL issue or just nobody has done it and put it on the internet. Any help on a shop to discuss it worh sould be appreciated1 point

Hello, I am selling a SIg P226 legion SAO in 9mm. Has been carried and has some wear but runs flawlessly and is in good condition. Comes with one 15 round mag and two 18 round extended mags as well as one kydex OWB holster and double mag carrier and a leather IWB holster/ IWB mag carrier. Also installed is a really nice magwell. I am located in Clarksville TN Asking $900 P.S. I recently got out of the ARMY and I am moving up to Washington DC for a job which is difficult to do with firearms so unfortunately for me but fortunately for all of you I'm selling everything. I believe I am reasonable on price and I am willing to negotiate but please take into account that I am fresh out of the military and DC is one of the most expensive places to live. Got to sell fast as my job starts at the end of August so lets do this!1 point

I usually search <county name> TN Elections and I usually find the county website that has a sample ballot. I use that to research candidates, and make my selection before I go in to vote. One of my biggest peeves is people who have no idea who they are voting for, getting to the polls, and picking random candidates. That is insanely irresponsible and they may as well just stay home and let the people who actually care, go vote. At the very least, just skip over whatever sections you don't have an idea about. You don't have to cast a vote for every single section. Are you in Morgan County? if so, here is their website with a .pdf sample ballot: https://morganelections.com/1 point

New here? Step up and tell us about yourself. A good format to follow would be your first name (if you care to share it), where you're from, what your interests are, what gun(s) you have, where you like to shoot, etc. It helps break the ice and you might just find new friends as a result.1 point
