I just wish they'd show as much care in disclosing who their sponsors are. Politics should be like NASCAR. I want to look at her blue suit and see the names and logos of corporations and foreign governments that are putting money in her bank account.5 points

Do you mean school teachers? Or warehouse workers at the Smile Direct Club? Or office workers at Lockheed Martin? Or Postal workers? Or Wal-Mart employees? Or grocery store cashiers and stockers? Or food court workers in an Indiana shopping mall? Or literally nearly any other place on the planet where violence is not expected but still happens? Yeah, those people (literally everyone who doesn't have armed security inside a fully secured facility) should change jobs to another one equally likely to experience violence instead of being prepared to defend themselves.4 points

Except... The Jan 6 committee is corrupt. It’s a witch hunt to keep trump from running again. It’s a one-sidded story by the usual players. There are Americans being held without due process... what about that. You know they held the doors open for them right3 points

I went and early voted today. This has become a habit for me as I find it physically uncomfortable to deal with crowds and long lines. The up coming Aug 4th election is both a primary and in many counties a general election. I feel its more important to vote in the primaries than it is to vote in the General Election come fall. Let's face it, in the general election most of us will simply vote for the candidate with a "R" or "D" by their name. By voting in the primary election you have a much better chance of getting a qualified candidate for the general election. I truly believe that the current crop of idiots and clowns in Congress these days is the result of people not voting in primaries. The wrong people end up winning and we suffer for it.2 points

True, and it use to be problematic. It’s a good example of a need driving positive change. Today scanning interfaces are dirt cheap and readily available. No different than buying any other tool you’d need. I’ll never argue things aren’t to complex, they are. But they do come with a seldom recognized sizable benefit. That thing we hate can also tell us what’s wrong (usually). Sure its got dozens of things your car from the 60’s didn’t have to go wrong, but plenty of things made in the last 40 years (the majority of us) could benefit from the upside in time / cost savings compared to testing or swapping modules/parts when it can’t easily be isolated. There are some open source programs that allow you to alter configuration in onboard systems. And for those committed to never seeing a Ford dealer, a programming interface is available along with Fords actual technical software used by dealerships for full diagnostic and programming ability. Limited use licenses run as little as $50. That’s just an example i’m familiar with, could be makes as well. Times have changed. Its more a matter of keeping up with them if one chooses. Admittedly, I choose to, though i’m not always thrilled to do it.2 points

A good way for criminals to launder money is to over pay for common item, like firearms. Not saying that is what is happening in the above sale but anytime something sells for an unrealistic price it makes you wonder.2 points

Available is a HK45 from the motherland. This BG date coded HK45 comes with everything it left the factory with, case, manual extra backstrap, barrel orings and of course sticker. Pistol also comes with meprolight night sights and 3 mags. I'm not the original owner so round count is unknown. Pistol has some wear as seen in the picture, but is in good shape. Asking $780 ftf in and around the Murfreesboro area. Must be a Tennessee resident legally able to own a firearm, HCP preferred, may ask for bill of sale if you're new. Buyer also has first opportunity at a factory threaded barrel, 2 extra mags and a small HK embroidered range case. Asking $170 if purchased with pistol.1 point

Oh I wouldn’t hesitate to carry it. I just have others I like better. I’m not a Taurus snob. I hike with a 627 Tracker .357. The ones I’ve had, have been good guns. This is my second G2. I also have TX22 that a blast to shoot!1 point

Voted today also, and was surprised by how many people were at the polling place. Maybe folks are finally getting serious about throwing the rascals out. Cheers, Whisper1 point

For 9mm the powder dipper will be just fine as long as you don't play in the max range, which IMO doesn't need to be that hot. The uniflow is good, have a couple, as well as one of the chargemasters, they work great, but I used the Lee perfect powder measure for years without an issue, and the new ones are even better. I drop powder (volume) for my pistol cartridges weighing one now and then, but weigh each of my rifle rounds, because I have usually developed a specific load which I want to stick closely to.1 point

Have a few Lee products which seem OK. My RCBS Uniflow has thrown many a pound of powder. It seems to show no wear except the exterior finish which has come off from my banging it around the workbench. Long term, I would go with RCBS over Lee, but others may argue differently.1 point

How is that? She’s been no more noticeable or controversial than the last three Vice Presidents. Also, none of the others have had their boss publicly state that it was ok to hang them besides Pence. They were on Amazon. I purchased a couple last night. Anything to raise the blood pressure of people who thinks a certain political party gives a crap about them. I’ll add them to my insurrection memorabilia.1 point

That, I have not seen yet, but IMO these are more reliable than the Taurus G series I see a lot of people carry.1 point

That's funny, but add that to the list of reasons why mechanics are headed toward the same category as lawyers.... 99% of them give the rest a bad name. And for those who may not know, you only put red loctite on 2 or 3 threads just under the head of the bolt.1 point

Haven't broke it in yet and debating if I should since it's one of the first made but sometimes you just gotta give it a spin1 point

I don’t prefer to open carry in public. I think it can make non-gun owners nervous and could make me a target, if someone was trying to commit a crime oand was smart enough to look around first.1 point

It's basically the same as sleeping with the owner's wife. Not illegal, but you're getting fired if you get caught.1 point

I do not and never have carried open. I do not want anyone to know that I have a gun on me. Ever. Period. Your feelings may vary. I carry multiple ways. First and foremost I almost always have my Micro Eagle in my front left pocket. If it is cold or I am riding my motorcycle, as I wear a leather vest, I will wear a shoulder holster with a Glock 19 under my left arm with two additional magazines under my right arm. If it warm out and I am just wearing jeans and a shirt, I carry a Glock 19 in the waistband appendix carry with an extra magazine. It took some time to adjust to the fact that I have a gun pointed right at my junk, but honestly I am bummed that I didn't convert to this sooner. It is comfortable, easy to conceal and is rapidly accessible. I use a kydex Desantis Pegasus Pipe Hitter, I had to go look it up real quick so I could edit to add.1 point

Somebody on another forum mentioned recently that they found G43 frames for sale for their compact build, and I read somewhere that the G48/43x slides would fit and function on the 43 frame; also Shield Arms released their 9 round 43 magazine, just in time for me to decide that that the 48 slide/43 frame combo would make a good summer carry choice. So for only the cost of the G43 frame, shipping, transfer, 2 OEM mags to use while I waited for the Shield mags to restock, 2 Shield mags and a metal mag release, I ended up with a gun that is maybe 1/4" shorter than the G48 and holds 6 less rounds1 point

It's been a while since I had a legitimate "battle belt" set up for use in classes, so I am putting one together and would love to see what you guys are using. The basis of mine is a VTAC Cobra Belt wrapped with a VTAC Battle Belt for some weight distribution and MOLLE panels for hanging stuff off of it. I've added a Safariland Universal Belt Loop (UBL) and Quick Locking System (QLS) receiver for connecting a holster to it. The holster I am running right now is a T-Rex Arms (yeah yeah whatever) Ragnarok light-bearing Kydex holster for my Sig P320 X-Carry. It snaps into the Safariland QLS receiver with a QLS locking fork. I went ahead and added a T-Rex Arms thigh strap to the UBL so that the holster doesn't want to come up with the gun on a draw. I've also added three High Speed Gear (HSG) polymer "taco" pistol mag pouches to the weak-hand side of the belt, a Maxpedition Gear "Rolly Poly" dump bag just behind them. Last but not least I have a Dark Angel Medical Individual First Aid (IFAK) just behind the hip on the strong-hand side of the belt. I don't want to hang a bunch of needless crap off of the rig, but each of the items above has a purpose. Not surprising to me at all, this setup still feels lighter on my waist/hips than just trying to hang the dump bag, holster and spare mags on my carry belt do. I'll try to snap some pics of the setup soon. In the meantime, show me yours or at least tell me what you've got. Edited to Add... This is mine at the moment. It's pretty spartan.1 point
