This thread is timely. I'm switching jobs soon, will be 100% remote (work from home) and am using the opportunity to rethink my home office setup. Larger screens with minimal clutter are going to be a point of order.3 points

Just got these two folders in the other day. I put the lanyard's on both of them this morning. The first one is a SPARTAN HARSEY from 2021 limited edition called the WATCH WORKS. I like the design and the slogan on the back of the knife, TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN never a truer statement has been made. The other is an OLAMIC WAYFARER in Frosted Finish on the Handles and a Bronze Pocket Clip with some Bronze Skulls, and the back spacer is Bronze Scalloped. This one is #10 I believe they only made 15-20. I also ordered an OLAMIC WAYFARER Hand Carved Series and it should be finished around August 19 they only made 10 of these and they won't build anymore of them, I'll post those pictures when I get it.2 points

Preach it Greg. I am not sure TGO has the bandwidth and storage to start the topic “What has your teenage son done to piss you off”.2 points

We’re back down to the prices the OP was complaining about, but now we’re happy about it. Perspective is a funny thing.2 points

We can debate tactics, gear, and spend countless hours on 9mm vs. 40 S&W vs. .45 ACP...all that is just filler. Nothing determines an outcome more than the mindset of an individual who acts when human instinct is to freeze or flee.2 points

Sold. Thanks TGO I can meet about anytime in Lenoir City or within an hour or so of Lenoir City with planning. Price - $1300 Changing description to like new and lowering price accordingly. I don't think it's been shot and was told it hasn't been but I can't verify 100% that it hasn't. Like New, with original box, all paperwork. Hard to find. The all-stainless construction of the P220® Elite Stainless provides shooters with greater control over recoil. The additional weight of both a stainless slide and frame, along with the enhanced ergonomics of a beavertail grip, make this .45ACP an absolute pleasure to shoot all day long. As the next generation P220, the Elite builds on the exceptional reputation of out-of-the-box accuracy with the addition of SIG’s new Short Reset Trigger or SRT. The SRT provides you the same great safety and smooth action of the SIG DA/SA with a comfortable short reset for faster trigger return and surgical control during high speed shooting. No production pistol is more closely identified with superior performance than the P220 and the new P220 Elite offers shooters new features that enhance the pistol’s performance. These features include an ergonomic beavertail grip which allows you to obtain a confident grip from the holster even under stressful conditions. The beavertail also permits shooters to grip the pistol as high as possible without worrying about slide bite. I bought this from another TGO member. I bought this to use as a hunting pistol. I ended finding a different hunting pistol so this one will not get used. Here is the build list: Aero upper and lower PSA BCG Parallax tactical m-lok rail Seekins bolt release, BAD mag release button, Strike Industries extended takedown pins Ambi 45 degree armaspec safety “Custom” Krylon camo , it is well done if I say so myself (not done by me) SB Tactical SBA4 brace Burris 2-7x32 Scout Scope with a Monstrum 1 piece mount. I will also throw in 2 boxes of hunting ammo. $950 for everything.1 point

So how do I get a boat to the water, horses to a trail head, or tow my Jeep to a offroad park? Who should I call to pull these trailers?1 point

That would make a great grill lighter, or a good deer rifle, first you shoot him then you cook him all in one package.1 point

It wasn't showing up for some folks. I had to fix some permissions that had gotten messed up in a recent software upgrade, so it should be showing for everyone again.1 point

A couple of them. LCP II .380 in my back pocket if I am wearing a shirt that prints easy. G2C or a SAR9 when I'm not worried about printing.1 point

Yep. I know it's expensive. But I also know what my wife will carry and how recoil will affect her. I want her to be comfortable with the gun. Her safety/life is more important than another $50 over a lifetime of buying ammo:)1 point

Criminally he's in the clear. Violating company policy could result in termination. And note that TN law clearly states that if you use a firearm legally, you cannot be criminally charged for illegal possession.1 point

I think it's a shame that hydrogen was never considered as an alternative energy source. From what I understand, it produces as much horsepower as the gasoline powered internal combustion engine with zero carbon emissions.1 point

I carried the M& P out for a spin today. Went up to Westmoreland to see a good buddy of mine. He had a makeshift target set up across his pond, he said was 100 or 110 yes. Forgot my range finder. So I fired a few shots, hasn't been sighted in, I put 2 shots about an inch &1/4, open sights. No idea what to expect. Believe it'll be good to go once I adjust a bit. Well pleased. No pics, didn't have my phone.1 point

I have no idea. But upon reading that chart closer, within 2 months of taking office the US was producing more oil than the amount when Trump left office. My whole point was that I don't think Biden is the reason the global price of oil is so high. That's not to say he is a fan of domestic drilling. I read that oil companies are reluctant to increase drilling because they are worried about plummeting demand like 2020 happening again. If feels like they are intentionally keeping prices high and production limited. Again, 9,000 approved but unclaimed domestic drilling permits. That says a lot. We have a lot of troubling things happening right now. I'm not as doom and gloom as many here but even I'm starting to get concerned. I don't think we'll ever see $2.50/gallon gas again.1 point
-
I guess we're back to thinking that the POTUS sets the price of globally traded crude oil? I guess it's a good time to mention there are over 9,000 approved drilling permits still not being used in the US. When Trump left office we were producing around 11M barrels of oil per day in the US. As of March 2022 we are now producing 11.6M barrels per day. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mcrfpus2&f=m1 point

I ordered a new Ford Maverick truck a couple of months ago. It is in transit and should be here next week. I could have ordered it in a hybrid that gets 42 MPG. I paid $1,100.00 extra to get it with a standard gasoline engine instead of the hybrid. I expect that one day electric automobiles will be the norm but at 70 years of age, I doubt that I will be here to see that day. I think electric cars are still very much in the experimental stage and I will let someone else do the experimenting.1 point

The " electric " thing is just another approach to picking the consumer's pocket by lying about the environment. Lotsa " children of lower estate " believe that electric vehicles are cleaner. They ain't, unless the energy is produced from nuclear plants. The electric vehicle will not be a success until the battery charging, performance, n driving range problem is solved. Watch the electric heavy truck business. If it works, then other electric vehicles will be viable. I'm guessin that I'll be takin my rest by the time they are a viable contender to gas n diesel machines. I'm now in my 75 th winter. Dont trade your gas/diesel machine just yet. By the way, I spent 38 years in the electric utility business. lectric leroy.1 point
