Well I picked them up on Tuesday, the first one is a 19-4 357mag/w 4" Bbl. and the mod. 14-4 38spl/w a 8 3/8" Bbl. The only flaw that I can find is on the 14-4 it has a scratch just below the cylinder latch other than that they are both in very good condition.2 points

I have read some people interchanging small pistol and small rifle, large pistol and large rifle due to primers shortage. I have also read where magnum primers ignite hotter to flash slower burning powder. It an idea if you can’t trade with someone. Proceed at your own risk.2 points

I have a Sig 230, made in Germany, in very good condition. Comes with 2 mag's, original box and 98 rounds of ammo. I don't believe it's had many rounds run through it in its life. Since 1999, when my wife got it, it hasn't had more than 75 rounds run through it. Would trade for a Ruger LCRX in 327 Federal. Otherwise, $700.00 OBO. Reason for selling, my wife can't rack the slide... GUN IS SOLD! Thanks for the opportunity!1 point

I have a 18 page .pdf of build plans for a very sturdy shooting bench. Not sure how portable it is but may be a good starting point. PM me your email and I will send it to you.1 point

Sig Sauer P239 DAK in 357 Sig with 2 mags, kydex holster, 50 rounds Speer Gold Dots and 50 rounds of Winchester white box This was my dream pistol until I realized my hand is too big for it. Looking for trades. I like 9mm Glocks, Sigs, and possibly others. I also like K and L frame revolvers. I am in the Memphis area. Willing to drive to Jackson or possibly the River for the right deal. Thanks! $6001 point

I don't like carrying my passport unless I have to. It's one more thing to keep up with and try not to lose and it doesn't sit neatly in my wallet like my DL does. that's the only reason I'll be doing the RealID. Side note: Mrs. 'lizard and I have TSA Pre-Check and it's usually great. When it's time for renewal, we'll be switching to Global Entry. It's only a few dollars more than Pre-Check and includes all of Pre-Check's benefits plus it fast tracks us through CBP's customs check points on international arrivals.1 point

There is a not a lot of point in getting a real ID driver license to fly if you already have a passport. Service members do not need one either to fly since military ID qualifies as a real ID for them. A lot of driver license offices can be a pain to deal with and I try to avoid them.1 point

My international flying days are behind me, unless I win the lottery maybe, but I do travel domestically a couple times a year for work, usually somewhere in the southeastern U.S, while I try to drive as I despise cramped airplanes, there srdvtines I have to fly. For that reason I got the TSA Pre-Check. Haven’t used it since I got but hoping it will make it easier.1 point

Ruger Wrangler with Super Walnut Altamont Grips. Gun is in great shape. Comes with box and factory paperwork along with the factory grips. I bought this from another forum member a few months ago, fired it a few times and stuck it in the safe. I am now wanting a Henry lever 22 rifle and can better justify it by selling this one. Located in Lenoir City. $200.1 point

The grid is overloaded this time of year from noon until midnight. There is typically excess power available overnight. This is where "smart" meters and household power distribution systems are nice. Even though you plug your EV in when you get home, it doesn't begin a heavy charge until the A/C isn't working so hard. While this does use more electricity overall, it has the benefit of leveling out the demand which is easier for the utility and producer to manage. There's plenty of electricy intensive businesses that are only permitted to run overnight when usage is otherwise low.1 point

That may have been tongue in cheek, but it turns out its really a thing! Good case of demographics matter. I've been spending some time on the truck forums where the Lightening is a favorite target for those opposed. To hear Lightening buyers responses, you get some good insights about their specific situations. A significant number of EV buyers do have solar and or added more solar. In many areas new homes for the last several years come with solar and surplus is sold back to the grid at times. Those are the demos that you will see more adoption of EV, in some cases multiple EVs in a household. While the solar addition to a home is not free, if its part of lifestyle choices amortized over several years and vehicles, there are places it can make sense if you are so inclined. The 22 F150 hybrid powerboost I ordered (as '21) finally came last month. When I picked it up, they wouldn't let me leave until I drove their demo Lightening. I have zero interesting in a full EV, not out here especially. They were insistent it was really fast. 30 years on sportbikes, looking at a big heavy truck, thinking not so much. Gotta tell ya, it surprised me. Its was stupid quick. Had a ball taking it for a spin, laughing to myself a couple times. I did not know its specs but afterward I found it has 775 ft-lbs of torque, so it made much more sense. While I wouldn't want one, I appreciate they can offer it and things like this will only improve the breed going forward. I am more opposed to some monitoring features they are building in. And the advent of subscription based features and services as they look for recurring revenue streams beyond initial sale. Have the take the good with the bad if you like new toys.1 point

But if you put a windmill in the backyard and solar panels all over your roof then you can charge it up for “free”.1 point

Since I have a CDL, real ID is mostly a byproduct of what I already had to provide. The fact that I have a hazmat endorsement and a TWIC card means TSA Pre-Check was also another thrown in byproduct.1 point

I got mine ahead of getting TSA Global Entry. In and out under 10 minutes with an $8 duplicate fee. Main rationale was to take away as many reasons for any .gov personnel to impede or harass down the road. I think of it like like a can of insect repellent for .gov staff. May not work on the big nasty ones that are determined to have at you, but generally can make passage thru high pest areas more pleasant.1 point

To be fair, I've seen those evacuation lines full of cars that ran out of gas too.1 point

@Erik88Yup. I see your point about opposition to EVs being based mostly on emotion than facts.1 point

I got mine in 19', had to jump all kinds of hoops to get it even though I had gone through the same thing last time I renewed. Back when it first began, can't recall the year, I was asked for proof of citizenship even though many before or after me were not asked. The supervisor said I could not get my license unless I provided my birth certificate. I returned with my birth certificate and the look on her face was priceless, it was a Mexican birth certificate. I finally showed my certificate of naturalization, expired military passport, current passport, CCW Permit and utility bill with my name and address. Had all those same articles in 19' except by then the other passport was expired too. And I am with @Defenderon the whole expired thing too, I can see a passport not being good to enter, or leave the country, or a drivers license to drive, but you don't stop being you when a certain date is reached. Won't be long before you are made to update your Birth Certificate too.1 point

I have a '21 Ford F150 Platinum Powerboost Hybrid. Unless I'm messing around in Sport mode, I get city/hiway 25+ mpg. Not uncommon getting close to 30mpg. Around town it varies but most of the time, I'm in electric. It has a V6 with balls and Turbo. The battery is covered for 100,000 miles or 8 Yrs. I'm very happy with the truck. The story of that family is unfortunate and that they got screwed over. They should sue the dealer. Not sure if the warranty was over or not able to be transferred, but oh well. Got to do your homework. Putting weight against the hybrid is ridiculous. I will not/ever go full electric. But happy so far that I can get over 700 miles on a tank of regular gas while maintaining a decent mpg with an F150...1 point

I saw a guy on the Tundra forum pay $30,000 for a used Tundra and then needed an engine replacement not long after for $10,000. A friend had a used Lexus he paid around $8,000 for and his engine blew while on a road trip. Anytime you have to fork out thousands of dollars on a vehicle it sucks. People who hate EV's are using that story(which was mentioned above your comment) to validate their existing opinions.1 point

I saw an article where the mall ownership actually praised Mr. Dicken's heroism. However, they stopped short of making any direct comments on their No Guns signs.1 point

Can't second the chair logic here any harder. When I first started WFH I am ashamed to admit how long I worked on a folding table using an extra dining room chair. My back kept hurting and eventually pulled the trigger on a decent steelcase chair and I have never regretted a single dollar of that expense.1 point

When I was a kid in Florida the whole family got together for canning day. Started before dawn. My uncle and two cousins would load up in his van and out to a field we went . Picked cucumbers and tomatoes. The rest of the day Grandmah, mom and three aunts cooked up sauces and stuff for pickles. It smelled so good. By evening they had jarred up plenty. The men grilled and us kids churned ice cream. Good memories.1 point

500 yards w/iron sights on an M-16 while in the Marine corps numerous times. I scored expert 4 out of 4 times, and if I did it twice more I would never have to qualify again. I didn't stay in long enough to go after the 6th expert award. I've never been on another range longer than that.1 point
