I never heard of him before. But from what's in the article I conclude that he's a lawyer, not a cop. Has been a prosecutor and worked on civil rights matters. In other words, just another liberal idiot.4 points

FPC and GOA have been sounding alarms about this guy for a couple of months. He's a grabber who favors an "assault weapons" ban and dislikes semiautos and home-built firearms.2 points

Oh yeah.... tresspassers I didn’t buy my land so the neighbors can hunt and fish on it without permission.2 points

This is more than a peeve to me. It just flat pisses me off. My Father, my late wife and a good friend of mine were all legitimately handicapped. Its a real obstacle to people like them when they are forced to park a long way from the door. I have called the Police and gotten such azzholes ticketed.2 points

People that mow their grass and throw the clippings in the street or at the side of my truck while I’m driving on that street. Don’t they know if they only turn the chute the other way, the grass won’t go in the road... Drivers that make a sudden left swerve just before they turn right. It doesn’t help...2 points

I have Maxpedition Condor-II Backpack up for sale. I bought it from a member here as I thought I was going to be flying some but travel costs changed that. I haven’t used it since I got it. Figured I would put it up for sale before maybe converting to a range bag. $80 in South Nashville or Cool Springs area.1 point

We all have 'em. What are actually simple, common things that people do that for some reason annoy the poop outta you. Here's some of mine: At stores, banks and pharmacy's : People who wait until the last second to get there stuff in order. Whether its a prescription, paperwork, coupons, a check or whatever, this person waits until they get to the cashier before ever digging any of this stuff out. Many times they've been standing in line for several minutes and had plenty of time to do this in advance, But Noooo, they wait until the last possible second. And then often fumble around going through purses or pockets to find what they need. People who stop dead in the middle of the isle so that you can't get around them and just sit there for at least several minutes. Especially if they're talking to someone else. Why is it that the person directly in front of you will always have a problem with their order, prescription or credit card that takes forever to resolve? Driving: The guy who insists on cruising right there in your blind spot. They guy who has to come to a complete stop to make a right hand turn into a big, double wide driveway. Forcing you to come to a complete stop too. The people who stop short or change lanes right in front of you making me slam on the brakes. Especially when there's no apparent reason for it. These are some of mine. What are your's?1 point

I think regardless who heads the ATF they will never be a friend of gun owners. It’s the nature of the job.1 point

It’s all about trying to curve Chinese expansion in Africa under the guise of fighting terrorist. We can expect more bases, weapons and personnel all over Africa in the near future. Colonization comes with risk and cost. It is what it is.1 point

I9 I appreciate the good words. They're not terribly sexy, nor really customisable, but they're reliable as hell and reasonably accurate out to 50 yards or so. I imagine with reloads they'd be good out to 100 yards, but that's what my AR's are for. For plinking at the range or introducing new shooters there not much better or cheaper.1 point

WTF, why are we continuously selling advanced weapons to countries that can turn on us in a heartbeat...Oh, Nigeria, I get it.1 point

I bought another deer rifle. I have been on a lever gun kick for awhile. One lever gun I did not have was a Winchester 94. I came across this Winchester 94ae and kinda fell in love with it. This was a banquet gun for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. It has gorgeous wood and really nice engravings. It also just happened to be in a caliber I did not have, .356 Winchester. I don't have a lot of lever guns but the one caliber I do not have is a .30-30. I have levers in .22, .357, .338 Win, .348 Win, .356 Win, .375 Win, .44 mag, .45 Colt, .45-70 and .500 S&W Mag(on order).1 point

I would suggest CATs as well based on everything I have seen those and SOF-Ts seem to be the choices and looking at "Pros" the CAT seems to be the standard. I would also advise against Amazon for you purchase, a ton of fakes out there. Dark Angel Medical has treated me right in the past. Here is one list I found for the TCCC approved tourniquets. https://www.offgridweb.com/preparation/cotccc-has-expanded-its-recommended-tourniquet-list-for-2019/1 point

Funny how the perception of being prepared is to the unprepared lol. That's ok, call me a hoarder, I just smile when I go to the range and shoot as much as I want for as long as I want, as they make the trip to shoot the one box they found at a ridiculous price and leave.1 point

I do the opposite, if someone is passing the front of my house and I am mowing near the street, especially if they are walking with kids, I just shut off the mower until they walk/drive by. Then I start it back i and keep on mowing once they are past.1 point

Don’t be farting around in the merging lane when I come off that on-ramp. I’ll be going full speed.1 point
-
1) People putting along in the on-ramp like they’re not concerned with “merging with ongoing traffic” then getting to the interstate and acting like everyone should move for them because NOW they have to get somewhere. 2) People who pull in front of the store and park damn near on the sidewalk to go in the store with empty spots right by the door. Essentially blocking in anyone who actually parked in a spot until the butthole gets done shopping. 3) People who are healthy parking in handicap spots because they’re too lazy to walk to another position many time two or three spots from the handicap parking. 4) Laziness in general irritates me, whether in public or at work. I probably have thirty more but these pop out at the moment.1 point

People who take their pets into the world. Leave you damn dog at home, they do not need to shop Lowe's with you.1 point

I would look for a list that includes some of the IFAK components, but supplement them with stuff you will use more often. The pic below shows the basic contents, but I add small squares 1"x1", out of the quikclot, some bandaids, med scissors, tincture of iodine, a tube of single use medical superglue (can use regular superglue in a pinch) and steristrips.1 point

People who run the speed limit or slower in the left lane. Some of us are trying to use the hammer lane to actually pass, not cruise. And semi trucks that run side trying to pass another truck for miles on end.1 point

Like the others said, better buy what you can when and where you can now. An even better plan, wait until availability improves then stock up, sometimes referred to as "hoarding" by the unprepared types ...1 point

I have shot both but don't own either. After shooting both I was ready to buy the Wrangler (just felt better) then I decided to spend a bit more and get a Single 6. So I would go with Wrangler but now you have a bunch of variations to chose from.1 point

No experience with the Ruger. I've owned a Heritage for 10+ years, it's never impressed me. The accuracy on mine has never been anything to get excited about. If it were me I'd save up a little more, buy a Single Six and never think about wanting something nicer again.1 point
