  2. My wife and I along with my childhood best friend and his wife recently returned from a 7 day Safari in Limpopo Province and all I can say is WoW! Purchased the hunt from a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation auction and was questioning whether we'd go or not but glad we did. Ended up setting up a stalk on a black impala that gave us the slip and.lead to me harvesting the Animal we were initially looking for, a nyala. Next morning I shot a wide impala off a water hole. 3rd.morning my wife was up and smacked a Sable at first light. Was her first bow kill. Our outfitter was fanfastic and the lodging and accommodations were spectacular. The food was bottom line some of the best wild game I have ever tasted in my life. If anybody has ever thought about a Safari, I strongly recommend doing one. You will not regret it.

  3. I ponied up for the Lifetime at my first renewal to make all the timing with the DL moot. I ran the math out on it an it probably won't save me money (or if it does, not for a long time) but it does save me hassle and I like to keep my life simple so it was well worth it.

  5. I received my paperwork for my Enhanced TN carry permit, so I mailed my completed paperwork and payment on June 1, 2022. I received the card in the US mail on June 28th with the card stating it had been issued June 21. So, about a month for the renewal process. Now, this renewal changes the expiration month (permits expire 8 years from date of issue) so it's no longer my birth month. Do be aware if you decide to renew early that the expiration is 8 years from the issue date of the new permit, NOT 8 years extension from your old permit expiration date. You might want to time it more carefully than I did if you want to keep your expiration month the same as your birth month! FWIW: TN driver's license are the same way - 8 years from date of issue!! Not a huge deal, but it does make it harder to remember when it expires.... Get it on that calendar!!!!

  9. Same thing here. I got a Lifetime and I was 65 years old. I won't save any money but I was afraid one day they might not let me leave the nursing home to go renew my permit.

  12. She ordered some online, from Park Seed I think. She also got some seedlings from a local garden place.

  13. Go out in the rain and see how it's washing. Figure out how to redirect the water so it doesn't wash. Then fix the holes.

  16. This morning. I'm pocket carrying a LCP Max, because I have on gym shorts. Anything else is just too heavy. Where did you get your FBI loads? I have been looking for some, but there are none to be had locally or online at the places I've been checking.

  17. Sounds like it was shot and chipped like a small, country road. You could dig out the holes and fill with quick crete.

  20. I had chicory growing in my herb box...but a fat rabbit decided it was too temping a delicacy. Ate them down to the ground! <sigh> I need to add sage and cilantro and have recently placed an order to Victory Seeds. I've had great luck with their seeds. https://www.victoryseeds.com/ My Dill is bolting and has apparently done so in a couple of beds because I've harvested dill from 2 beds already. I just cut it, toss in a gallon ziplock bag and toss in the freezer. Works well for canning in my experience. I've had rosemary grow into a damn small tree before. Hardy plant!

  21. I carried the M& P out for a spin today. Went up to Westmoreland to see a good buddy of mine. He had a makeshift target set up across his pond, he said was 100 or 110 yes. Forgot my range finder. So I fired a few shots, hasn't been sighted in, I put 2 shots about an inch &1/4, open sights. No idea what to expect. Believe it'll be good to go once I adjust a bit. Well pleased. No pics, didn't have my phone.

  22. I believe RRA's Chuck and Mark Larson learned their 1911 craft under Les Baer when they were all working in the Springfield Custom shop, then later when they joined Les when he started his own shop. Mark passed away back in 2013 but RRA survives. I have a 6" RRA and it's an excellent shooter, as you would expect.
