***PRICE DROP*** Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull Made in 2000 in the highly desirable “Target Grey”. 7 1/2” barrel This gun is not a safe queen but it is in very good shape for it’s age. The trigger has been smoothed and polished, which makes for a very comfortable pull. It also has the Hamilton Bowen extended length firing pin installed. Appx .020 removed from the trigger face for additional primer detonation reliability. Trigger Shims installed on the hammer, trigger & the hammer dog. Cylinder Shims also installed to reduce end shake. Barrel to cylinder gap is tight. The hammer strut mainspring has been replaced just out of caution due to it’s age. HIVIZ LITEWAVE front sight. This creates a very nice sight picture with the factory rear sight. Installed is a Hogue recoil absorbing grip and I’m also including the factory grip. The included OEM scope rings look mint. The OEM firing pin and front sight are also included. I’m including the OEM case and instruction manual. Also included is a basically new Gunfighters Inc Kenai Holster. Round count is less than 50. It has some minor scratches due to the firing pin install, some minor holster presentation scratches. Very nice condition for being 22 years old. I'll include 40 rounds of 240gr and 40 rounds of 300gr Hornady ammo. Located in Nashville, but travel throughout middle Tennessee for work. If you're interested, I may be in your area soon. $1200. Not interested in trades at this time. More pictures in comments.5 points

We've now seen the most horrific mass shooting since 2012 and came out relatively unscathed as gun owners. It has become increasingly clear that the entire gun control debate is used and loved by both parties. The Democrats know they can't really do anything and probably don't want to because they know it will cost them. Someone mentioned they were probably relieved after the latest SCOTUS ruling. The Republicans use it for votes and create fear any chance they get. They actually helped the Democrats pass this bill because they know they have gun owners by the balls and nothing in the bill was bad enough to upset us. I have been a member here since 2010 and been through many election cycles where we were assured the next Democratic victory would lead to the end of the 2nd Amendment. I still remember people saying Obama was going to put us in FEMA camps. After the events in the last month it's going to be very difficult for me to believe that serious gun control is possible. The Supreme Court has made it clear where they stand. Republicans will need new fear mongering material for the next election. I'm sure both sides will come up with something to keep us fighting with each other.4 points

That's a Colt M1895 machine gun. Commonly called the "Potato Digger". Its was the first gas operated machine gun and designed by non-other than JMB.2 points

I just stumbled on this forum while researching TN gun laws. Glad I did! I'm a GOA member but not NRA. Politics . We've got to stay free, folks, and hold on to what God gave us. I drive truck and listen to podcasts all day. I'm pretty up on all the crap out there and frankly fed up. I'd suspect I'm not alone on that. Peace2 points

Hello all we just moved to East Tennessee from California and yup I didn't bring any of the politics with me. One of the biggest reasons we left. I am and OSHA outreach instructor and trainer. I enjoy the shooting with my family. We have absolutely fallen in love with TN. Hope to run in to you all on the range! Also looking for BLM land one can shoot on1 point

I try to get to the Gray show a couple off times a year, the last few years I haven't been to many. I hope to be at the July show. It's size varies from show to show and has it's share of knife, shirt and jerky dealers but usually a pretty good show. I go to look not planning to buy much and sometimes I get surprised. I usually go on Saturday mornings, if we both go and we match up time wise, maybe we can meet up. Coupons for $2 off can be found online I usually print out a few and hand them out to people around me in line.1 point

All that is true when talking about right to carry laws. However, there are other areas of gun control - "assault weapons", magazine restrictions, suppressor ownership, semi-auto bans, punitive taxes on ammunition, etc, that this decision doesn't address.1 point

Well, you didn't have me in mind, but I had similar prognostications in another thread. My crystal ball is cloudy. The red flag laws are always going to be a worry spot. They have good intent, especially if suicide is something we wish to have an open debate about...but you're right in thinking there is a lot of room for abuse. The benefit of this package is there's no real definition of them at a federal level, just more grant money for the states to use.1 point

Alright, finally made a decision and hopefully take the crown as now being the King of Milwaukee. Two weeks ago I took advantage of one of their deals. If you purchase the "starter kit" including a 5.0 Ah, 2.0 Ah, and charger, you got a free tool. I chose the Orbital Sander, as that's what I wanted overall. For two weeks, those batteries have been sitting in their box, I wasn't sure what to do with them but I finally found their place. As seen above, I was considering one of their 7-1/4" saws for roughly $250.00 give or take. I would have made a mistake spending that money on the bare tool. Today I took the batteries back and got a credit of $132.50. That means I've got $85.90 in the Orbital Sander. Not too bad. Today I found the following bundle: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18V-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-Hammer-Drill-and-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-W-Circular-Saw-2997-22-2732-20/314961660 It's $479 but is eligible for their "free battery/tool" combo. I chose an extra 5.0 Ah battery, which I'll return for $124.73. After returning the battery, I'll have roughly $400.97 in the new bundle. But...the bundle (instead of the $250.00 bare saw) gets me: M18 Fuel Hammer Drill M18 Fuel Impact Driver 2x 5.0 Ah Batteries 7 - 1/4" Fuel Circular Saw (same one I was considering for $250 bare) Charger Hard Case So, I definitely made an excellent decision in returning the 5.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah battery kit for $113, as I essentially only paid $3.00 more to get the drill, driver, and 2x 5.0 Ah batteries (instead of 5.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah).1 point

I built mine while at UT from a discarded large instrument packing crate. Initially used it rebuild Harley engines. That hobby is long passed. Added some plywood to keep it from flexing. Have three machines mounted to it. Built it in the late sixties and am now retired and it’s still going strong.1 point

It appears that on the far right the flowchart implies no concealed firearms in national parks. That changed in 2010. They are allowed under certain conditions. https://www.nps.gov/grsm/learn/management/lawsandpolicies.htm1 point

As Sempratus mentioned, the better shops & shows are in Middle TN. Any one of close to a dozen shops in the Nashville area is better than what our best one is here, IMO. Ah, well. It is what it is. Camp Jordan shows used to be better, pre-covid. Hopefully that will pick up before too long? Right now it's worth the 2hr drive to the Knoxville Expo show, IMO. One range not mentioned is the one off of Hwy 411, in Polk Co. It's on National Forrest property but it's unmanned. Has a nice shed, benches & so forth. There may or may not be any target holders so it's better to bring a big cardboard box of something to use. Some folks use some PVC pipe to assemble a target holder for example. Public range, fee is something like $6 per car load but I could be wrong on that price. It's been a while since I've used it. Oak Ridge, TN has a pretty nice range. Goes out to either 800 or 1000 yards, I don't recall which. Open to the public. Google them up to get a more accurate poop than what I know. I've never used it. so I can't say too much about them. If you haven't already, please look into joining the TN Firearms Association. They're our local NRA except they're actually influential. They're the reason TN has better gun laws than 90% of the rest of the US. I've been a member for close to 12-15 years now. TFA web site. The SE TN corner is blessed with all sorts of terrain for outdoorsmen. Hiking, hang gliding, fly fishing, hunting, rafting, kayaking, motorcycling, photography, etc are all done here at all compass points. You won't have to keep going to the same place over & over, there's multiple options. It's the Smokies without the crowds or traffic, in short. If you get the occasional Big City itch, Atlanta is only an hour or so down I-75. Buckhead Mall is a fav of the ladies. There are multiple Civil War sites if you're interested in history. Lots of Indian history as well. Just a cool section of the country that offers things not many other places can, if any. My .o21 point
