Course: Cognitive Pistol w/ Tactical Anatomy Organization: Two Pillars Training Instructor: John Hearne Cost: $300.00 Who Am I: Owner and Trainer EventBrite Link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cognitive-pistol-w-tactical-anatomy-tickets-335740939187 This course emphasizes thinking with the pistol and is intended for advanced shooters. The course will feature a series of drills of increasing complexity that will make the shooter think while running the pistol. The goal is to place the shooter under as much “cognitive load” as they can stand. A major teaching tool in this process is the use of tactical anatomy. Tactical anatomy teaches the shooter how to place the most effective fight stopping hits under the reality of three-dimensional targets. The class will feature anatomically correct, three-dimensional targets that must be engaged correctly and under realistic time limits. Round Count: Minimal round count is ~200 rounds. Some portions of the course allow for extra shooting based on the student’s interest, ability, and ammunition availability. Up to 250 rounds could be fired in the course but are not required. Pre-Requisites: Students need to already be competent and safe gun handlers. They must be able to load/unload, present/reholster safely, perform reloads, reduce malfunctions, etc. While anyone capable of safely running their handgun will benefit from the class, the most benefit will be achieved by those who can already shoot well. Since accurate shooting will be emphasized – the ability to place 5 rounds in a 5” circle from five yards in less than five seconds from concealment is the recommended standard. Tuition includes all range fees.2 points

I killed this pig in February. The meat has been curing in a brine in my outdoor fridge since. Not intentionally, I've just been insanely busy for the past few months. Took it out and marinated it in Dr. Pepper for about 8 hours, slathered it in mustard and covered it in a rub. Threw it on the smoker overnight wrapped in foil, then gave it 4 hours of smoke this morning after unwrapping. Curing then smoking is a bit different but it's really good. Almost like pulled pork that is reminiscent of jerky. I'll will do this again for sure.2 points

Mom told a funny story last night I'd never heard before.... Her dad brought home a boiled ham, which was a rare treat for them. Mom said the same thing about how good it was and how anxious they were for ham sandwiches. Mom and her sisters always had friends around and the news of boiled ham ensured they were there. Apparently someone left a door open and not only did their friends come over, their friends' dogs did too. You can guess what happened. Mom said they'd gone to get drinks or something, turned around and the ham was gone. The first thing I thought of was.....2 points

New York doesn't need to ignore anything. The SC did not rule that Abortion is illegal so there is nothing for NY to ignore. This is the problem. Too many of these ignorant people don't know basic civics.2 points

I'm confident that all of the facts in the case aren't public, which is the situation in almost every controversy. So I agree with you on that. But that's vastly different from claiming that "Jan. 6 was a setup."2 points

For me, it is the angle of the grip whicj gives more control and the blade is on the left hand side which makes it easier to see what you are cutting (especially if you are right handed). It is designed more like a worm saw which is quite frankly just a much better style of saw. I would say go hold both and you can decide. If you are right handed I wouldn’t personally ever buy a saw with the blade where I have to look over it to see what I am doing. Also be sure you are comparing the 7.25” to the 7.25” and not the 6.5”. As I can see there is only $20 difference between the two 7.25” versions.1 point

That was fast. Sold on arfcom Arsenal SLR-106FR. Uses common .223/5.56 ammo. Folding stock, side rail. Discontinued. As soon as I bought this, I had Kilo Guns install the Sabrewerks KOP system for optics mounting. The Aimpoint mount hugs the dust cover and allows for perfect cowitness. The long rail sits higher for an Eotech or other dot- it also has a rear notch for a really nice AK sight radius. Shooting irons with that setup is actually really nice. Round count is around 600, no issues, no malfunctions. Excellent condition. Light use. I had planned on using it to shoot AK matches, but only got to one with it. I’m not shooting much anymore, so it needs to go. No trades. Included: Sabrewerks KOP optics system- special barrel trunion to allow for modular optics mounting- installed by Kilo Guns in AZ. Remove optic with one pin (similar to removing an MP5 stock) Sabrewerks Aimpoint T2 mount (Aimpoint not included) Sabrewerks Aimpoint mount (older style, not pictured), some wear- this one was a really tight fit, so I swapped it out Sabrewerks long rail- put any optic on it and has a long sight base ALG Defense trigger- makes any AK feel like a great AR trigger Narrow sight post (for Aimpoint cowitness) Magpul MOE handguards Magpul MOE pistol grip Extended safety Extended charging handle (1) 30 round circle 10 magazine Factory stuff- 10 round mag, sling, sight post, trigger, handguards, barrel trunion, etc. Pictured Aimpoint is not included $2200 local deal (listed higher elsewhere) Pickup in Murfreesboro. Must be TN resident and willing to flash ID. Sorry, I don’t respond to “pm please”. Please PM with any questions. Thanks!1 point

I find that they are kind of hit or miss. I know a thing or two, but I'm still learning. On this particular pig. I'm fairly certain that I cooked up one of the front shoulders as pulled pork and it wasn't fit to eat. I suppose spending 3 months in the brine would make just about anything edible though. More than likely I will just keep that tub of brine in the refrigerator and just dump off hams for however long I feel like when I get them for now on.1 point

The inside looks like when my wife boils a country ham. I always wondered if the wild hogs were edible. I’ve read mixed reports. Looks like you’ve figured it out. Thanks for sharing.1 point

I still like .30-06, .308, and 6.5Grendel for any rifle shooting out to 800 yards. I haven't had much occasion to shoot further than that.1 point

I use tight group and all my pistols. You have to be careful it’s easy to overcharge. If I want to hot Rod a load I’ll do research and found find appropriate powder for the caliber of shooting. That said, the only hot rod loading I do this for a Ruger 44 magnum.1 point

This is a huge reason we needed Trump over hillary during those crucial 4 years of multiple SCOTUS appointments. A lot of people say it makes no difference dem or gop, but it matters a lot. Just imagine if we would of had hillary’s appointments rulling on this instead of trump’s.1 point

I have a Springfield Range Officier in 9mm, I bought one of the $39 Sig 38 Super barrels from CDNN. All the fitting I had to do was to shorten the barrel hood length a few thousands. A link, link pin, recoil spring and magazines was also needed. It feeds and ejects fine. The breech face and extractor worked with no adjustments.1 point

I just saw on the ABC evening news, Wild Wild West was mentioned several times. The NYC mayor even said it, while they were showing a clip of a subway shooting. All I could think was “looks like it’s already the Wild West, maybe now somebody on the subway will be armed and can stop the shooter”.1 point

That is indeed correct, and it also depends on your firearm, different firearms produce different results, what works best for me and what I load for, may not be the best for what you load for.1 point

@CHAPPY38 use Accurate No.7 for .38, I believe No.5 or No.9 for .357, check Hornady, but of all the powders I've tested over the years, Accurate has been the best for those loads. I should have some data laying around here for .357 mag using No.7 even though its not listed, I had to make due one time and worked up some loads I can share.1 point

308 is my main night cartridge. I've shot a staggering amount of 308. It's biggest problem is that it's not sexy anymore. For hunting, my cut-off is 450 yards. Most bullets break the 1800 fps barrier at that point. I've done quite a bit of 1k yard target shooting with it also. If I'm shooting in town I do fall back to the 5.56 for safety reasons.1 point

As mentioned. most all single stage presses are good. I happen to prefer RCBS equipment and dies. But the other brands are fine. Right now the problem is gonna be components and powder. Primers are especially scarce. As for best powders. these days use what you can get.1 point
-
If your just starting then a single stage is best. I’m useing RCBS rock chuckers for precision rounds,. Others have their favorites. I have been at this a long time and had an epiphany. It’s like you buy a $100 fishing rod, then a $20,000 boat to take it fishing. Primers are going to be your problem.1 point

Does anyone know how to get a hold of the Supreme Court to get this reversed really quick? I just heard on The Five that the cast of the view, especially joy behar and Whoopi Goldberg are pissed! Someone needs to call Justice Thomas and let him know so he can rewrite the majority opinion.0 points

I'm on the lookout for a .308. Nothing fancy or particularly special, but better than Axis quality. Remington, Winchester, better Savage etc. Just a good, honest, synthetic hunting rifle. Ideally, I'm looking for a straight trade on an Anderson slab-side AR15 I've acquired. It's in mint condition, stainless barrel & had maybe 100 rounds thru it when I picked it up. It's unfired by me. I'm pretty much open to any fair-trade offers (no, not organic coffee beans.... )0 points
