Amazing how an AR-15 in the hands of a regular citizen is an "assault rifle" but as soon as the same gun is placed in the hands of a police officer it becomes a "patrol carbine."3 points

I was at Range USA picking a AR15 lower up and had extra time to browse- They had the Springfield XDM Elite in the 4 inch barrel that looked like it needed a home- I left before the urge overtook my better sense- I have 2 other 10mm's-one in a RIS Ultra 1911and the other in a S&W 610-3 revolver- I wasn't sure how much I would like the 10mm when I bought the Smith-now I reload for the caliber-1 point

Maybe a mod can politely move the thread to General Chat?1 point

Except you posted it in the “New Member Introductions” thread, so it still doesn’t add to you post count lol. Welcome though!1 point

Another wishful bit of firearm legislation I would like to see in Tennessee, ironically also as is the case in Florida, is preemption with regard to where a firearm can be discharged. In Florida, State statute makes clear that a firearm may be discharged on one's private property regardless of how small or how large the property is so long as the shooting is done safely without negligence. Granted, safely and without negligence is subjective; however, a municipality such as a city or county cannot make their own rules dictating anything different than what the State allows. A city cannot write their own ordinance stating "No discharge in city limits" or "No gunfire after sunset" or likewise. I see so many posts here asking "may I fire my gun on my property here or there?" It shouldn't matter where one resides so long as one is on their own property and the bullets are not leaving that property.1 point

The preacher was shaking hands after the service when a little boy came by preacher asked what he wanted to do when he grows up Boy said he wanted to make lots of money preacher ask what he was going to do with all the money. Boy said he was going to give it all to him preacher asked why. boy says that’s all his dad talks about what a poor preacher you are. Happy Fathers Day1 point

A bit of a tip: a flat bottom boat with a small engine will greatly increase your chances on public land.1 point

I agree with you on the upper and lower receiver. They are either in spec or out of spec. The important parts are the barrel, trigger, and bcg. I would recommend spending a bit more to get better quality on these parts. I’m not saying you can’t get a good, cheap barrel, but the odds are more in favor of it if you buy a pricier model….usually.1 point

Surely I'm not the only one who just likes to trade. Wish I had the disposable income to just buy guns but usually I have to sell or trade to get something new. Anyways, looks like this one is spoken for.1 point

I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to figure it out, logistically, but I'll take it. I've got cash, but let me dig around & see if I have something you might be interested in as a tradeable. PM sent too.1 point

Wonder what the national statistics would look like. Only one fatality from a caliber used in those evil black guns.1 point

Yup-let's make it hard for the normal citizen to have these but it won't impede a criminal in the least- There just are people that do not get it-willing to let their rights go bye bye- I wonder how much of these bills are going to be unconstitutional-I think the Supreme Court already ruled on AR15 saying that banning did not pass Constitutional muster- This is what happens when idiots vote-you get idiots in office-1 point

It is beautiful. I’ve just had too many stupid, extra expenses this month. Good luck brother.1 point

I applaud your efforts @StephenB. Maybe you should send a copy of the flow chart to all representatives and senators in state government to help them understand what a quagmire of laws they’ve come up with. Maybe an illustrated picture will get through to them.1 point

I'm still a fan of the 30-06. I shoot a 338 Lapua, too, but for an all arounder capable of doing most anything, the 06 can't be beat.1 point

It's interesting that the GOP/Trump actually passed two of the three rounds of stimulus and yet they are calling it Joe Biden's inflation. Short memories it seems.1 point

I can point to it, but there is an adapter that make the Maverick and 500 feed the mini shells. It is easy to install and fairly cheap. As I recall you have to take it out to feed full size shells.1 point

A man goes to the doctor for a prostate exam, and the doctor says to him, "don't be embarrassed, its ok to get an erection during the exam" more than a little surprised to hear this the man replied, "but doctor, I don't have an erection" ... "I know" said the doctor, "but I sure do" Thank you, I'll be here all week. Thats public post no. 2;by my account0 points

My wife packes for me when I go fishing. This time when I got back I asked, "Where did you put my shorts this time" Her reply was, "In your tackle box, why are you not fishing!"0 points

Memphis TV channel 13 reported some info on the Kawasaki shop incident. I know the man who carried in to the store. Went to Bartlett PD until bail paid. At court received probation and fine. Could not carry until probation ended. Had to reapply for permit. Didn't get weapon returned until after court hearing after probation ended and PD did a TICS check. Lawyer fees $5k, probation a little over 2 years.0 points

i am happy to run 223 through my 5.56 AR as manufacturer lists same velocity (Hornady) for bullet weight. Point is, if I have to label my ammo 223 instead of the vil 5.56 but get the same performance...fine! Joke is on them at that point.0 points

This fortune was in the bottom of a home test. I guess it means the test is OEM, straight from the manufacturer?0 points

I finally pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered a Laugo Arms Alien from Lancer. I didn’t get the full kit due to them being out of stock constantly and I’m not a huge fan of shooting with a red dot. The holster would have been nice but I’ll just have to make one for myself. If you haven’t seen this pistol I would suggest a quick YouTube search. The other is a Colt 1903 hammerless type 3. Picked that up in a trade, not sure how long it’ll stick around since it’s a caliber I don’t stockpile. I’ll be at the range tomorrow morning with the Alien and I’ll be comparing it to my TSO and Czechmate.0 points
