With respect to the OP, this topic has been resolved. There were REPORTEDLY some issues with early models, but that was years ago. Have had two P320'S with no holes in my foot or leg yet. Remember how some complained about AD's when Glock's were introduced a few decades ago to LEO's. AD's in the foot or leg are almost always due to poor trigger discipline while holstering the weapon. I have helped train cadets for corrections and safety officers. It makes me shudder that such ill trtained people are cleared to carry a weapon. The bar they set is pretty low, imo. Not trying to be high and mighty, but people make mistakes. When you job depends upon it, people make excuses. That's human nature. Ed2 points

My name is Tom and I have lived in the Clarksville area since 2015. I'm a 14 year US Army OIF/OEF veteran and I finished my time as a soldier in 2018. I'm currently a student at Sonoran Desert Institute and I really joined so I could get a feel on some of the most common problems gun owners have in the state and what ideas would be the best for my future shop (not advertising, it's not named yet nor does it have a location and I will certainly register as a vendor here when I do). During my time in the Army I was lucky enough to be an armorer in a mechanized Infantry battalion and that was ultimately what sparked my interest in firearms to begin with. Over the years that interest faded until I made a friend who runs a very professional training course not too far from where I live (not advertising, I didn't say the name of business nor the exact location). Ultimately, attending his course several times rekindled my interest in firearms and I doubled down when I realized there was a degree program for that exact sort of thing and frankly, I want to make a living doing what I love which is building custom builds and making repairs. Notable Firearms In My Collection: Largest: S&W .500 Magnum Performance Center Edition Smallest: Ruger LCP Max Longest: Highly Customized 30-06 on an MDTTAC chassis 1st Favorite: My first AR that I built on a G&G Gunworks lower receiver 2nd Favorite: My Canik I bought after my last deployment Most Desired That I Can't Actually Acquire: Browning M2 HB Most In Need Of Cleaning: The AK. It's always the AK.1 point

Honestly, with all the time involved in figuring out who to chop it without jacking it up, and waiting for who knows how long, finding a replacement may be the way to go. There’s no shortage of used barrels out there.1 point

I applaud your efforts @StephenB. Maybe you should send a copy of the flow chart to all representatives and senators in state government to help them understand what a quagmire of laws they’ve come up with. Maybe an illustrated picture will get through to them.1 point

Made a lot of shotguns. Do you have a specific model? Just buy a new barrel.1 point

The most overlooked piece of advice. I had good holsters, it was life changing once I got a proper gun belt. Toted a CZ 75B Omega AIWB for years. I still carry a full size when dress and place appropriate1 point
-
A lot more expensive than buying a shorter shotgun, if it's done properly. Threading for chokes is the hard part & there aren't many people will do it. If you leave it as a completely open, cylinder choke, it'll basically be useless.1 point

Hey all, figured an introduction couldn’t hurt. Been in TN for 20+ years, first in Wilson County and now living in Nashville. Picked up my first firearm in high school when my girlfriend’s dad shoved a makarov into my hands and said “think you can hit that beer can?”… which I did. My dad got a couple firearms back when we had 10 acres and plenty of crabapples to shoot at. Since then I spent some time overseas and dad sold the land and most of the guns, and so I went a good decade without shooting anything at all. All I had left was a 22 plinker and an 1891 argentine mauser sitting in my office when the pandemic hit. Picked up an LCP II as a “#### hits the fan” gun but had never even fired it when we almost got broken into in broad daylight last October. Nobody was hurt and little was taken, but it made me think hard about being prepared for a self-defense situation. Since then I’ve been to a couple of training classes, shot at the range a few times, and picked up a Beretta PX4 to train with. Honestly I had forgotten how much I love to shoot, and I’ve learned a LOT more about myself and my capabilities since investing the time and money in preparation over the last few months. As far as firearms go I’m looking at picking up a few more handguns, starting with a revolver. Not much need for long guns in the city, although I would love to get into skeet shooting. I’m interested in competitive shooting but I reckon I’m a long way from being good enough to compete! Anyway thanks for having me here. I’ve learned a lot from this forum so hope to stay a while, make some friends, and contribute as much as I can!1 point

I agree with you...the sign should not have the force of law. But, AFAIK, there has not been anyone charged/convicted of this. If anyone knows differently please share.1 point

It is funny once you get into LR shooting how your scope to dollar comfort ratio starts to grow. I can remember when I would cringe at the thought of a $400 scope, now I don't have any that are less than $2k. Although I had thought about pulling the trigger on a ZCO, but that $4k plus price I just can't or won't do. I think after about $1800 there becomes very little improvement for any more money.1 point

It lies between Oak Ridge Hwy and Pleasant Ridge Rd....close to NorthWest Middle School. Yes, if one becomes aware of a school event, one must then store the weapon in the car (locked of course) or leave. If you want, the Handgun Division in Nashville can be very helpful with questions. Or, there is regional rep from the division that can be reached. Just ask any school for their number in your area. BTW, I do enjoy these discussions and hopefully give some clarification especially here on TGO. And yes, sometimes not all of the instructors agree....that's where Nashville comes in.1 point

There's been tons written on this subject already, and rather than rehash it all, I'll just pose a couple questions: 1. You're right that there haven't been reports of this happening with military models. Have you heard reports of accidental discharges from the many thousands of these things in the civilian market? (I haven't.) Maybe there's a hint there. 2. If you were a cop and you negligently discharged your P320, would you own up to your mistake and take whatever disciplinary action might be handed down, or would you say the gun was defective?1 point

I know this is an old post but I remembered posting about how much I hoped to one day have a Nightforce scope. It took a while and took me getting bitten by the long range bug, but I now own two of them. Top picture is the newest one, it’s an NXS 3.5-15x50 with MOAR reticle sitting in an ADM mount. I put it on an AR15 that I use primarily for coyote hunting. Bottom picture is the first one I bought to replace my Vortex HS-T on my Savage 110 Tactical 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s a 4-16x50 ATACR with MOAR reticle sitting in Badger Ordnance 34mm rings. I am absolutely in love with these optics! I can’t afford to put them on everything, but my main rifles will all be topped off with them as soon as I can do it. Just wanted to share my excitement with y’all!1 point

Yes sir, you are so right; Rule #8 Do not make any replies designed to interfere with the sale or trade of an item. If you wish to haggle, do it privately with the seller. No one cares what you think about the price or availability of an item. Ah, new guys. Where's admin on this?1 point

There are clips, and then there are magazines. In any case, it should not damage either one to keep them loaded. Springs wear from being cycled, not from being compressed.1 point

I'm on the fence with waiting for prices to go down on 5.56 because recent leaks have given information that the Biden administration is trying to get Winchester to stop selling their surplus to civilians.0 points
