  1. True. But if enough people write in asking for the same thing, the rep will be made aware of it.

  2. Buffers are good for about 300 rounds. I bought a small box of IIRC 20 way back in the day. I think I remember seeing them advertised recently. If you have a PD, get spare buffers.

  3. My favorite carry calibers are .45acp and .38 Special. There's usually some form of 1911 and a revolver with me for range trips. But for a "range" caliber, my favorite will always be .22LR. I'm there to enjoy myself.

  4. My favorite is this Winchester 1886 Takedown in 45-90. My most cherished is my Marlin Glenfield 30a that my dad bought me when I was 12 (54 now).

  5. Planned as an EDC gun but got bumped in favor of G43. Spent most of its time sitting in the safe. No external safety. Includes two (2) 12-round magazines, four (4) 10-round magazines, Haley Strategic INCOG IWB holster, leather OWB holster, kydex OWB holster, factory interchangeable back straps, and factory case. It's had <300 rds of 115gr ball and ~50 rds of +p JHP through it. $400 OBO Murfreesboro area. TN DL required, HCP preferred.

  6. I just got this as my many month search for a commander variant was not successful and of course as soon as I get this exactly what I want becomes available. So I bought that too and this now has to go unfortunately. Cherry condition Dan Wesson Vigil in 9mm, comes with everything you see including the new VZ grips (wood DW included). It is an absolute dream to shoot and far more accurate than I can be. These are next to impossible to find due to limited production and are some of the softest shooting pistols I've ever fired. With the alloy frame and 25lpi checkering, it's a fantastic carry piece without the usual 1911 weight. $1400 in the greater Nashville area.

  7. SOLD I have an almost new Palmetto AR9 put less than 100 rounds through it on 1 single trip to the range with it. It is a blast to shoot and ran flawless with all FMJ ammo in 115,124,147 grain bullets. There are several reviews on Palmetto saying they don't feed hollow points well but I did not have any to test. It is all from the factory bought a complete upper and lower and change the birdcage to a Comp and put on a Hogue pistol grip. The only reason I'm selling is because Palmetto does not have last round bolt hold open. I never thought I would like an AR9 but it was so fun to shoot I went home and bought an Aero EPC9 that has the last round bolt hold open. The AR without the Vortex Sparc is 650 and with the Vortex Sparc 800 thanks for looking. Any questions call or text 224-402-4433

  8. I purchased this a while back it was back ordered and before it came through I found a 260 barrel in stock and bought it and before I could cancel this one it was on its way. Thought I may still build it but just don't think I'll use it. I am very happy with my 260 from the same company they look great and my 260 is very accurate. the price is 250 and if interested can throw in a Savage Tactical bolt latch I was going to use in the build Any questions call or text 224-402-4433

  9. Ruger LCP. In my opinion, as close to the perfect pocket pistol as exists today.

  10. While the way it’s being framed is overly sensational, it isn’t wrong either. As @Garufa said, just about any non-rimfire rifle round will blow a head apart. That’s not to say the 5.56/.223 is especially powerful, we all know it’s not. On the other hand, just because the opposition is being disingenuous in their arguments doesn’t give us license to do the same. So the response to this sort of statement isn’t “that’s not true” it is “that’s true of any rifle round regardless of the type or action design.”

  11. I started with an AMT 380 way back when, it’s been retired for 20+ years now. Then I didn’t carry for a while. When I started carrying again it was an LCP 1, Sig P238, M&P 2.0 Compacts 9mm/40,Sig P365,Springfield Hellcat and now an LCP Max.

  12. Well at least it’s not as bad as a 9mm round that blows your lung out of your body.

  13. I kept an AMT 380 backup under the truck seat since I was old enough to drive. As I got older, I carried a 642 Smith and Wesson. One day I bought a Ruger LCP and have carried it since. It doesn’t have much finish left on it.

  14. As few and far between range time is, I always run at least 1 if not 2 full mags of self defense ammo on my 2 carry guns. Then just send range stuff until I feel confident at different yardages hitting the spots picked on the target. I have more than 2 handfuls of carry options but I've narrowed it to 2 for all seasons. My shorts are too big and jeans are too tight so the way I carry varies too.

  15. I came across this as a result of the post that another of our members recently made regarding the rescuing of that STG44…it came from same site. This is absolutely wonderful, except for that very last sentence. I realize that I’m preaching to the choir here, but a little edification never hurt a congregation, does it? Here’s the link to the original…. A firebrand Southern lawmaker spoke out against further restrictions on the Second Amendment during a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing this week. Congressman Clay Higgins, the straight-talking Louisiana lawman who earned a reputation as the "Cajun John Wayne" before running as a Republican for Congress, confronted Joseph Gramaglia, the Police Commissioner for Buffalo, New York, over the Commish’s support for controversial "red flag" gun seizure laws. "So, you support confiscating guns from individuals 'determined to be a threat to themselves or others – determined to be,'" asked Higgins. "By this legislation, my colleagues are putting forth, my understanding of the letter of that law, which I 1,000 percent oppose as would our Founding Fathers, the letter of that law says an anonymous tip from a citizen. So, if this was law, Commissioner, would you confiscate? Would you go to your neighbor’s home and confiscate his legally owned weapons? A man that was not under criminal investigation nor under arrest. Would you do it? Gramaglia: The red flag laws would... Higgins: That’s a yes or no, brother. I got five minutes to make an hour and a half statement here. Gramaglia: It’s more than a yes or no answer. It would be up to – it would... Higgins: We’ll move on. If you cannot say yes, you would confiscate weapons from an American citizen that was subject to this law that my colleagues intend to push through this Congress, and you said in your statement that you would confiscate those weapons if an American was determined to be – your quote – a threat to themselves or others. According to the letter of the law, determined to be is defined by an anonymous tip that an American citizen is a threat to themselves or others. You’re a police commissioner, a "thin blue line" brother sworn to uphold the Constitution, and you’re saying you’d seize those weapons. I see that as a problem. Then Higgins sat back and delivered a monologue on life, liberty, and gun laws, which is just a home run. Higgins this week voted against both H.R. 7910 and H.R. 2377, Democrat anti-gun laws which passed the House on roughly party-line votes.

  16. please hear me out on this… As ashamed as I am at the fact that I’m quoting myself here…it’s only to call attention to a bit of an oversight on my part. I am guilty of never clicking links to videos; when given the choice of text or video, I will choose text 100% of the time. Since this is my first experience with being a part of an online community, I find myself with a bit of a learning curve. Several hours after starting this topic, it dawned on me that I had included the above link along with the body of the corresponding article without bothering to make sure the video matched the transcription! Again, because I simply comprehend the written word better than I’m able to glean ideas from videos…. …or so I thought, that is! I was reminded today of the power of the spoken word, especially when coming from the mouth of a master debater….I mean a cunning linguist…seasoned politician! This will probably be the only time I ever say this, but I think you all should watch this man deliver these words via the video then, if interested, read the transcription that I included. This is powerful stuff. Please y’all, let’s talk about what this means, together. CLICK HERE AND JUST LISTEN TO THIS MAN TELL THEM HOW IT IS!!!

  17. IMO, its optimistic to think anyone other than a low-level staff reads Congressional emails. For the record, I still send them too!

  18. I have never owned a Star, either, but have heard cool things about them. However, if memory serves me, I believe they contain a plastic "buffer" to soften recoil. Just wondering how that buffer holds up in older models?

  20. Fair to say they are using the full set of tricks. Hyperbole or gross exaggeration aimed at a specific weapon some want to see banned. Does that turn the AR into a decapitation or limb removal tool?? Heck no. No one is having a good day if shot in the head with any firearm. Attempting to roll the specifics of a certain amount of tissue damage / derangement in support of that agenda or spreading an unsubstantiated media narrative doesn’t strike me as the best idea. But, internet to the rescue! There is proof! M16 shot…yep…blows that head clean off the body, no problem

  22. That was the thing I had some choice words for, I settled on calling it theater trying to be mindful while cursing to myself. What amazes me the most is how their mindless supporters can be ok with these tactics, without any regard for the trauma it could inflict and loose morals it took to take advantage of this child. It seems so transparent. Speaks volumes about their support base in addition to the complete hypocrisy of ‘looking out for kids’. It’s surely a sign of desperation. They know they can’t win on logical merits, so trying to froth up an angry mob with pitchforks and torches is where they went.

  23. If they really cared about children dying needlessly they would outlaw all abortions excluding due to health needs- But they really don't give a bat guano - They just want total control of you and me-simply put-

  30. I've seen several media reports about the Uvalde shooting that said that several kids were shot in the head and could only be identified by their clothing. Can't say if its true, but its definitely media sensationalism at its best,
