S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman .357 magnum with Herrett Shooting Star grips as well as original diamond magna grips. Pinned barrel, recessed cylinder. Grip numbers match the gun. According to internet search, serial number puts manufacturing between 1963-64. First three digits are S232 ... for anyone more savvy in researching the date. $12005 points

Just saw Biden's speech. Naturally he went after the "Gun Lobby". It ain't about guns. Its about the breakdown of our society and the loss of moral values. No new law will fix that.3 points

If it was the only saw I would have for a while I would be buying a cordless skill saw. Worm drive if available. If I am buying new into the cordless realm I prefer Milwaukee. Dewalt and Makita second. I have all of them, and a mitre is definitely nice, but you can cut so much more with a skill saw. Get a straight edge if you need longer cuts. Use a speed square to cut accurate 45’s if needed. Both is the best answer, but I would personally start with a good skill saw.3 points

Yes, on the tax dollars. I remember the first time I heard about this I looked it up and there was less than a million uniformed law enforcement officials. There also was less that a million and a half people in all of the military. Any given year they typically sell around 10 million deer hunting permits. Pretty impressive number just for deer hunters. If 10% of the deer hunters said no, that would be a million people. No telling how many other gun owners would say no, I'm betting a lot more than 10%. So add a couple more million. 3 million? That's a lot of people saying no. Weaponsman, before he died, had an article up saying there was up to 660 million guns in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if that was still low. https://billstclair.com/weaponsman.com/index.html%3Fp=33875 Either way, the numbers don't work out in favor of the people that like to take guns. Than means they will have to do something else. Like freeze your bank account, like they did the Canadian truckers (got any extra cash stashed at the house?). Or cut off your Social Security and Medicare. Maybe call your workplace and tell them they think you're a terrorist and cost you your job. Any or all of this until you decide to turn in your guns so you can eat or get medical care. I don't think they will ever come to anyone's home, there's not nearly enough of them to go around. My younger son and I took a trip to Defeated Creek today. Weather was perfect. Water was perfect. We caught a few small largemouth on crank baits, but nothing of note. Still a great day out. Anybody catching fish now?2 points

Steel is 1/8" thick 12c27 stainless heat treated and cryo tempered to 59 - 60Rc. Knife is 8 3/8" long with a blade length of 4" , full flat grind on blade. The handles are nicely shaped to fit in the hand comfortably. Red Linen Micarta for the handle.2 points

It was about this time last year I was out running around, stopped by the Caney and couldn't have caught a cold, ran up to Defeated and fished that area right where you turn in off of 85. Caught about 50 chunky bluegill, had so much fun I went back the next morning and caught 50 more. They were on the bed and were absolutely hammering the 1/64oz jigs that I was throwing. I had every intention of going back this year, but I have too much going on at the moment.2 points

Got a few more things in the mail for it. 4 more HK 30rnd. mags, and a HOLSUN 510 that I just installed still need to put in the new flat trigger pack I bought a couple of weeks ago. Once I get that installed I'm heading to the range and try it out.2 points

And? What is wrong with being able to manufacture your own weapon? The concern is getting weapons out of the hands of gang bangers and others unauthorized to have them, and keeping criminals behind bars once they are caught breaking laws. Those of us that follow the law and don't commit felonies should be allowed to not only own and make their own weapons, but carry them as well.2 points

According to the internet, manufactured between 63-64. Yes, the grip numbers match the gun.2 points

It's been a while since I had a legitimate "battle belt" set up for use in classes, so I am putting one together and would love to see what you guys are using. The basis of mine is a VTAC Cobra Belt wrapped with a VTAC Battle Belt for some weight distribution and MOLLE panels for hanging stuff off of it. I've added a Safariland Universal Belt Loop (UBL) and Quick Locking System (QLS) receiver for connecting a holster to it. The holster I am running right now is a T-Rex Arms (yeah yeah whatever) Ragnarok light-bearing Kydex holster for my Sig P320 X-Carry. It snaps into the Safariland QLS receiver with a QLS locking fork. I went ahead and added a T-Rex Arms thigh strap to the UBL so that the holster doesn't want to come up with the gun on a draw. I've also added three High Speed Gear (HSG) polymer "taco" pistol mag pouches to the weak-hand side of the belt, a Maxpedition Gear "Rolly Poly" dump bag just behind them. Last but not least I have a Dark Angel Medical Individual First Aid (IFAK) just behind the hip on the strong-hand side of the belt. I don't want to hang a bunch of needless crap off of the rig, but each of the items above has a purpose. Not surprising to me at all, this setup still feels lighter on my waist/hips than just trying to hang the dump bag, holster and spare mags on my carry belt do. I'll try to snap some pics of the setup soon. In the meantime, show me yours or at least tell me what you've got. Edited to Add... This is mine at the moment. It's pretty spartan.1 point

Smith & Wesson Model 10-8 with heavy 4" barrel, with new old stock S&W factory Magna grips. Gun has been around the block over the years, but still a good shooter, lock up is tight. Grips are probably worth as much as the gun $450 Price drop: $400 firm SOLD1 point

I have been to Uvalde a couple of times. Mainly passing through but shopped at the grocery and ate a local restaurant. That really doesn’t have much to do with anything but this is a seriously small town. Something around 16,000 people. I can’t imagine the anguish that entire community must be going through and more importantly why this continues.1 point

so if i have a rectangular chunk of billet aluminum, i have a gun, because i can find the instructions on how to machine it into a lower receiver on the internet. They need to stop smoking crack.1 point

Even worse than that I read some of it to mean if you have access to instructions (internet, Youtube) it is the same way. They would not even have to prove you accessed them, just that you COULD.1 point

I bought a Ryobi Miter saw about 20 yrs ago when building a storage shed stick by stick. I did the majority of work along with a friend who helped with the heavy stuff and when a 2nd set of hands is necessary. Still have it and it cuts just as good now as back then. I also have a couple of circular saws. Get one of the portable stands if you get a miter saw, a real back saver. Get some sawhorses if you go with a circular saw. Both types of saws will cut flesh and bones and don't care if it's at the start of the cut or the end of the cut.1 point

I bought this one a couple of years back and have no complaints. Ryobi gets a lot of hate, but I have lots of Ryobi tools that get used at a rate I would describe as "heavy homeowner use" some, such as my cordless impact get used 2-3 days per week most weeks. I have several tools from their 18V line that I have been using for more than 10 years. RYOBI 15 Amp 10 in. @LMac416 This isn't a place that is going to tolerate any form of "doxing" such as this. I'm not sure what your personal story is regarding this issue but TGO is not the place to solve it. Feel free to stick around if you have any other reason for being here.1 point

This is unverified so probably needs fact checked. I was speaking with an attorney friend of mine, he is not a firearms attorney. His research indicated that a ghost gun is any gun recovered without a serial number under visual inspection. Since criminals will try to obliterate serial numbers on firearms, this may explain the 45,000 ghost guns that are haunting the president1 point

I too had the Glock 29. I love the 10mm round, and still have a few Glock 20s and a Glock 40. But the Glock 29 was just too small to fire full powered rounds comfortably. I sold it and got another Glock 20.1 point

Cool update. I agree with you on the DD triggers. I have a M4, V7 AR from them and love it, but the first thing I did was install a Geissele trigger.1 point

Back in the day all we had were record albums and radio, or concerts. I remember April Wine very well but never appreciated how good they really were. Excuse the dumb filler of an otherwise great performance.1 point

What you need is an opposing magnet stuck to a 9-volt battery on your handgun's slide. This produces a rail-gun, which is not to be confused with a gun with an accessory rail. One will accelerate your 9mm Winchester White Box ammo past the speed of light, causing a black hole to form and sucking your enemy into it. The other allows you to hang an O-Light off of your gun and get pissed each time the absurdly large latch accidentally releases your light as you draw from a holster. These car magnets are just a bad idea. Very bad. For a lot of reasons. It hurts my head to think that I'd have to enumerate them. Just say no to them. I can't believe that I am about to post a James Yeager video, but here we are. I haven't even watched it yet but I know he's going to pop a vein so that I don't have to. I assume that a language warning is probably prudent. Don't watch this with your kids.1 point

My worry with using a magnet would be getting into an accident and creating one heck of a heavy projectile to bounce around.1 point
