Just got these in today's mail. First one is their new Tactical Knives series, this one has a SV35 Blade Steel and is a Frame Lock in OD Green. Second one is their Trapper Prayer Series of Knives. This one has some special meaning to me since I've been going through Chemotherapy Treatments for a year and 5months, I'm going to carry this one in my pocket as a reminder to keep fighting to be able to beat it. Thanks for lookin.1 point

Located in Murfreesboro, local to me pickup. No trades. Must be 21 and willing to flash Tennessee ID. I also no longer respond to “PM Please” requests- established members or benefactors only, please. FN Five Seven 5.7 pistol. Gen 5, MKII (most recent version). Trigger breaks just shy of 3.5 lbs and it is incredibly consistent. Shoots absurdly flat, virtually no recoil. Round count is under 500 (like most of my guns), purchased in 2018. I haven’t shot it in a while and it deserves a better home. It was sent off to Elite Ammunition for their $450 accurizing package and $250 MKII red front, green rear fiber optic sights. Elite Ammunition takes 16-20 weeks to do this kind of work. Accurizing package includes: Removal of magazine safety Smoothing of the hammer to sear contact. Greatly improves trigger action and creates a crisp release Reducing trigger pull by 50% Increase hammer spring pre-load 20-30% for crisper disconnect Chamber lapping. Aids in extraction and protection of coating on brass Polish and Tune extractor Polishing and Fitting (too much to list) and a detailed cleaning including correct lubrication Each gun is tested to deliver at a maximum of 3 1/2-pound trigger pull before leaving the shop. At the time, they were also including a 3 pack of extra power mag springs that normally sell for $35. Those are included. I didn’t particularly care for the Elite trigger shoe. It was slippery and too short for that trigger guard, IMHO. I swapped it out for one made by Eden Perfection and it’s perfect now. It really is a ridiculously good trigger. The slide shell is made of polymer and there are some minor dings on the top of the slide. Comes with holster. G-Code mounting system, made for use with Streamlight TLR-1 light. I have an extra, old TLR-1 (no S) I will include for you to use the holster. I don’t have the factory sights. I do have the factory trigger shoe. Gun, box, papers, holster, TLR-1 light, 3 mags with Elite Ammo springs (and factory springs). Adding 5 more mags (with springs) to package for a total of 8 mags. $1400 firm1 point

Shouldn’t be a problem. I think the AKs were designed around steel case ammo.1 point

Looks like a POS Dexter 18k+/- dually axle. most likely: lug nuts loose, fatigued the center section of the wheel(s) until it failed. or some studs failed overtime, seen a bearing failure do that to.1 point

I found a Rock island at buds and purchased it. Hopefully it will arrive at my FFL late next week. I bought the FS non rail version in 45 acp. Just need to pick up some more mags for it.1 point

Dash cameras are awesome and they sure help officers that are working a crash. It sometimes shows who is lying and who is not. I was working a crash where one truck t-boned another. Both said they each had a green light. The victim showed me his dash camera and he clearly had a green light and the other truck ran the red light. The guy that ran the red light lied to me after I gave him another chance. I then showed him other guy's video and he tucked his tail between his legs after that.1 point

I have one in each of the vehicles I drive. It has saved my butt in one accident in La Vergne. But for yesterday it just shows how quick things can go side ways. Glad the audio recording was turned off on it as it would have one long bleep. Just as the guy I was on the phone with.1 point

There's also Range USA right off of I-40 in West Knoxville/Farragut. They were called Shoot Point Blank, but they changed their name recently. They have a wide array of new firearms. Last time I was there, about a month ago, they only had a couple of used firearms, but plenty of new ones. It's part of a corporate chain of gun stores.1 point

Welcome aboard. Be sure to check out the Ruger 57 as a cheaper and possibly better option based on the reviews I've seen.1 point

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. If anyone needs me, I'm gonna time travel and go pick up some of that 9mm at $0.09 per round.1 point

After some discussions on here I decided to go to windrock range today for some much needed relaxing shooting. I was very pleased with the range there. Talked to the owner for a few minutes, very pleasant and personable. I like how the range was set up and met some new fellow shooters. Definitely a place I will be back to soon. one of the pistols that I shot was my Rex Zero 1. Man what a beast 400 rounds of steel ringing fun with zero hiccups. The recoil was light and the trigger in double action was very nice. I highly recommend both for inexpensive fun1 point

I'm set....and have a great story to share. https://nashvillemobilemechanic.co/ The guy who runs this service (one man shop) was able to come directly to my location, get in my garage, because his service vehicle is a Ford Ranger kitted out as a mobile toolbox. Where AAA and Firestone couldn't meet the clearance of my garage, this guy saved the day (or at least kept me from pushing the vehicle with someone steering it in neutral out into the street). Super friendly, and was able to swap in a new battery for me no problem. I 'm happy to put money from my pocket into his business account for the services rendered, and glad I found him. I love this kind of entrepreneurial spirit in striking out solo and putting in the work with his own two hands. Says he's staying pretty busy, which I can see in a booming Nashville Metro Area. Despite all my feelings of woe about the economy at large, I think this guy will stay in good shape come what may. Truck is humming along. He said the alternator and everything else he looked at while changing the battery are good to go. Time to get back to work. Thanks again to all for the knowledge you shared.1 point

My daughter decided to go with the birdshead grip and the matt stainless look. I like the looks of it too. I figured that Ruger would be easier to contact with help in case there was ever a problem. Ruger sent me a very hard to find spring one time on a 20 year old pistol that isn't made anymore so that stands out to me about great Ruger customer service. Thanks to you members who provided information and opinions. It helped a bunch.1 point

Yep. I’m glad I won’t be needing any gear anytime soon. I can see a body armor ban coming for everyone except police, security and military. Thanks for the great suggestions.1 point

Just because someone isn’t stable, doesn’t mean that there isn’t something to be learned from the writings or words of those who commit heinous acts. Even if it is just to familiarize yourself with the dangerous rhetoric to be aware of it in others. I haven’t read the whole manifesto yet, but I’m working my way through it. That said, sometimes the unstable may act in ways that are wrong, but be essentially correct in their ideas. (Not say that’s the case here at all.) Ted Kaczynski is a prime example of that. I will not endorse his campaign of mail bombings in any way, but read “Industrial Society and it’s Future” and tell me that Kaczynski didn’t have it pegged correctly.1 point

With rulings such as Bruen coming down the line, i suspect that attempting to go after guns won’t gain much steam. Now if the reports I am reading are accurate, the security officer shot at the dickhead and hit his body armor. Then was fatally shot himself. If that is correct, then I expect body armor to be on the radar of “we must do something.” Not to be too tinfoilhat, but holy crap does this manifesto read like a gun grabber wish list in the pages and pages of gear talk. Along with the fact that the FBI has a history of targeting neuro-divergent folks for its “investigations” and well, I wonder if there isn’t an agent somewhere crapping his pants about things getting out of hand and attempting to cover up his fingerprints.1 point

My granddad asked me to dig one under a shed for him. Now, if my father had made me dig one I'd have felt terribly misused, but I was happy to show my papaw that I was a hard worker, and I busted my hump for a couple of days to get that hole in the ground. My uncle owns that property now, and on the rare occasions that I go there I make sure to admire "my" root cellar, still there and functioning almost 50 years later.1 point
