I've known I had to have one of these from the first moment I heard of them. Been looking hard for over year and nobody has had any one in my area. This morning I called all the LGSs and still no luck. A couple of days ago Chucktshoes that he had seen one at Cypress Creek Outdoors in Dyersburg. So just on a whim I called to see if it was still there. It WAS! With nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon, I jumped in my truck and headed North. I'm now the proud owner of a brand spankin' new Springfield Armory SA-35! BTW: price was MSRP at $699. Not being a fan of heavily checkered grips, I put a nice set of smooth Houge Pau Ferros on it. Looks great! I hope to get it to the range next week. Range report to follow. And here's an updated family portrait. Thanks Chuck! BTW: that's a very nice store. Everything an outdoorsman might need. Very friendly people too. Had a nice chat with the saleslady while I was there. If you're in the area, check it out.6 points

Y’all. We’ve been doing this en masse since 2001. Remember all the anthrax in the days after 9/11? Heck, pieces of this technology have been around since the Unabomber days. Don’t screw with postal inspectors. Seriously. They’ll find you.3 points

Not sure where you were going with the original post, but as far as the direction this post is pointed, all I can say is “Don’t”. Not commenting one way or another about the details, we just don’t talk general politics here. If it is directly related to 2A legislation then we are about that. R vs D vs (?), not wanted.3 points

My recommendation would be Keymo. With its wider adoption in the industry you will have a much lower likelihood of experiencing the same sort of issue you are having now in the future. it will also give you greater choices of cans should you decide to acquire more.2 points

Tennessee is on a path to legalize coyote hunting at night. There is a comment period going on at the moment. If you want to hunt coyotes at night or have problems with coyotes and want someone to take them off your land, please send the email. It's been suggested that: Shotgun only. Rimfire only. Required IR becon on hunters. Seasons that do not coincide with deer or turkey season. The game wardens are not enthusiastic about this rule change and feel like they'll be called nightly because of gunfire at night. I've hunted coyotes in several states and they don't seem to have a huge problem with this. Other concerns are misidentification of targets and hitting things beyond your target. Again, there's easy ways to avoid this at night. I suggested 6mm and below. A requirement for suppressors would be okay with me. I have been told that suppressors will never be required however. Everyone gets a vote even if you hate the idea. https://www.tn.gov/twra/news/2022/5/3/twra-requests-public-input-on-proposed-2023---2023-24-hunting-regulations.html#:~:text=Public comments will be considered,.huntingcomments%40tn.gov2 points

I don’t understand this anyway. If you believe a price is too high then don’t buy it. It’s that simple. It’s a firearms community in which most people are experienced and knowledgeable enough to make their own decision when it comes down to what they are comfortable paying. It’s a classified advertisement, not a discussion forum.2 points

The Q plan b is not a true quick detach system, but it does keep the threads clean. I have no experience with the keymo mount, so I can't give you a honest opinion on that mount.1 point

Cleaning out the garage and I do not need this anymore. It is the 108qt size. I will not ship or drive too far since it is only $10.1 point

It was actually mine, but I decided not to get it as I was more interested in getting my hands on one of the Girsan models that had a rail. It was announced while I was waiting for the SA-35 to arrive.1 point

Nice to see that someone else likes smooth wood grips on their guns. I do that to all my shooters.1 point

Unless it's a check someone sent or some ultra rare gun part I ordered. It can end up at the neighbors house or down in the holler, who knows some days.1 point

Just trying to inform the people who didn't know that their data was being collected. Best to keep the pictures of your guns off social media. Same goes with the post office. A lot of people don't know this.1 point

Great facilities and a great bunch of people. I belonged a few years ago before I moved away from the area. Membership fees were low. Back them $50 a year if you attended 3 meetings a year or performed 3 hours of community service. They had a pistol range, rifle range, two skeet ranges, a trap range, a private fishing lake, and a nice club house. When you went to shoot there was seldom anyone else there and you had the range to yourself. I am 50 miles away now but have considered rejoining. I think you will like it.1 point

@Grayfox54Glad you made the trip and got it. Though I’ve since moved to Jackson, Cypress Creek is still my LGS of choice. Best way I can describe it is a locally owned Bass Pro/Cabela’s. Love that place.1 point

Price changed to $430 FIRM. I have gotten a lot of offers by text that were ok and some that were lowball offers , so I think $430 for this pistol is fair.1 point

I have a feeling it’s got ZERO to do with disputing the price, and more about phishing for payment details, etc. Here’s a snap of what you see when you manually enter the site address into your browser, minus what’s between the slashes. There’s even a name there. A closer look at the code indicates it was scabbed from a legit site, then prices edited to look more enticing. I hope that’s a BAN that I smell a’cooking1 point

Yes sir, you are so right; Rule #8 Do not make any replies designed to interfere with the sale or trade of an item. If you wish to haggle, do it privately with the seller. No one cares what you think about the price or availability of an item. Ah, new guys. Where's admin on this?1 point

August 3, 1950 - May 10, 1999. Terry Wayne Morris My Dad passed away on this date, my goodness, 23 years ago. He was only 48 years old. It was in my two arms that he left behind his broken body, and was immediately in the Presence of God. This is my belief. My eyes were full of tears, my heart was full of sorrow, but in my soul…rejoicing! Despite the fact that he was truly my first loved one to go, the significance of the moment was not lost on me. I bent down and whispered into his now deaf ear, “You lucky dawg, you!” You see, I had just watched my Dad suffer terribly over the last three months; he had Pancreatic cancer. It was a terrible ordeal for him, and Dad was never one for suffering, haha. He loathed pain, in any form! He wouldn’t go to the dentist for fear of needles. Same with doctors. I always gave him a ribbing over it, having had so many broken bones as well as multiple surgeries before the age of 20, I was quite well versed with pain, doctors, and needles. I say all this to make a point about my Daddy: he suffered terribly from this dreaded disease! Literally vomiting up his internals, several times per hour…many times so dang weak that all he could do was squeeze my hand, which immediately told me that I needed to pull him up (he was far too weak to do this on his own), and bring the bucket up to his face, holding him by the back of his head so he could vomit again. The man who had always represented strength and life to me was losing his battle. His eyes told me he was tired, so tired of this suffering, but he never complained; not even once! Y’all can’t know what, coming from him, this meant to me! Y’all, forgive me for being so graphic with the description. I promise, though, I didn’t even touch on the worst parts of it. To anyone who may have the same malady today, I want to say that there’s been an exponential improvement in the way this is treated now; never lose hope! I mentioned before that Dad never went to the doctor, and this didn’t help his case at all so far as “catching it early” goes. He knew something was the matter, but chose not to look into the issue until the morning he woke up, went to the bathroom, and noticed that his pasty white complexion was now the color of a glass of Mellow Yellow! Yep, that got him concerned…that got us all concerned! I was sitting in the room with him when his doctor came in there and delivered the terrible news; it’s terminal. Talk about getting kicked in the gut…and that’s just how I felt! I wasn’t close to my dad; never was. I was more of a “Momma’s Boy” (not a fun thing to tell the rest of Tennessee!) growing up, and had a very special affinity for my Grandfather. My Dad used to get so angry with me, saying, “you dig a ditch for your grandfather but won’t even plant a flower for your own father!”, what can I say? He had me pegged. I’m sure he’s had many a laugh from Heaven at my expense; my son is the exact same way with me. I’m saying this for the benefit of anyone reading this that might think it’s too late for them to have a relationship with their loved one….listen to me if this is you - it is never too late to begin! When I came home from taking my dad to the doctor and receiving that terrible news, I had a decision to make. I could choose to continue my life as it was, or I could face the situation and become a man. That fateful day was the day that I became a man. I went to my dad and I asked his forgiveness for the many terrible things I had put him through. I thanked him for his good example that he gave me and for always working hard to provide for his family. Then I asked if he would let me take care of him….if he would let me at least try to be there for him as he was for me. He told me that it need’nt work that way…that it wasn’t my responsibility to care for him the way he cared for me - that as his child I was his responsibility. I saw his point and appreciated what he was saying, but I wanted to be there for him to make up for the absolute lack of appreciation I showed to him in the past. It was three months from the day of that doctor visit until he passed away in his own home, in my own arms. I would not trade anything for that time I had with my Dad, although there are parts of it that I wouldn’t wish on anyone, either! Phew! Thank you, my fellow Tennesseans, for allowing me to unload some of that, and for listening. I still miss my Dad, but the pain is long in the past. I know I’ll see him again in Heaven. I’ve lost many, many loved ones since losing Dad, but no experience in my life, to this point, has even come close to the richness of that which I experienced in those 3 months with my Dad. It’s because of him that, to this very day, I have chosen to NEVER let the sun set on a grudge, to never go to bed angry, and to always, no matter what my pride tells me to do to the opposite, to always forgive when I am wronged, whether it’s asked of me or not. ‘Today, my fellow Tennesseans, I am remembering my Dad, Terry Wayne Morris, may you Rest In Peace, and I’ll see you soon. thanks y’all1 point

I have a Like New HeadsDown AR9 with 5 21-round PMAGS (loaded with 147 gr Critical Defense) for sale. I am in Murfreesboro. This pistol has about 100 rounds though it. Upgraded Samson rail system and MagPul BUS installed. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this gun. It is a solid shooter, feels really good in the hand and is well built (they are built in Lawrenceburg, TN.) I just don’t shoot it that much and I am funding another project. Can meet within reason around Murfreesboro. (I am traveling some in May, so meeting times might be delayed, etc.) Asking $1,300 for gun, hard case (not from the factory) and 5 loaded PMAGs.1 point

I did not get to say much as we were late in leaving for a dinner date with another couple in Clarksville (we live between Dickson and Charlotte) but I had gotten ready and just dropped in to check the forum, when I saw your comment. I immediately called Outpost and they confirmed that there was one left. I asked if I could buy over the phone and since I had bought guns there in past, they had my info and said yes and I could fill out the back ground check when I come to pick it up. So, it is all secured and "wrapped up with a bow" and I hope to get down to the "Boro" first of next week to get it. I really do appreciate the heads up as this is the first pistol I really have been "Jonesin'" for in a couple of years. I have a ton of stuff and lots of the "newest, biggest, baddest" stuff doesn't get me very juiced up anymore but the Hi Power is a classic and one that I have never owned but wanted to. This SA clone seems to be a pretty solid reproduction. This is a perfect example of this forum allowing the membership to help one another out and I want to thank you again for the tip..............1 point

Well some USPSA matches do actually recognize a state champion within a division that is separate from high overall, 2nd, etc. I was a little confused about this at first after hearing Billy X is the Arkansas state champion in Limited division when I knew Billy got clobbered, but then realized that Billy was the highest scoring Arkansas resident. He may have finished 12th in the division, but he is the state champion.1 point

Robert, you've been a member here a long time. I know you aren't looking for charity but I hate to see you sell your gun just to put food on the table. I will personally send some money your way to help hold you over until unemployment comes. I can't speak for everyone but I bet we have some other members that will help. Do you have Venmo? It's a free app you download to your phone. All you have to do is link your bank account(it's safe).1 point
