GrandTrino and 1911alltheway out did themselves this time. I asked GT to make me a Bowie Knife w/ an Antler Handle and Carbon Steel, and he knocked it out of the park for sure. It's a full 19" overall and a 12" blade and brass guard. 1911alltheway made the sheath for it and he out did himself on it also. He inlayed the front with genuine Alligator Skin, I asked him to make it like a holster instead of a dangler carry, well he came up with an idea to make it a Swivel style that snaps in place to hold vertical. These two gentleman are true craftsman at what they do. Here's the pics.3 points

For Sale - $1,495 - Sixteen (16) rounds fired - Excellent condition - never holstered - Two (2) eight round mags This item was presumed to be sold. However, the buyer failed to provide FFL information for shipping and the P-220 is back on the market. This is a rare P-220 model and looks awesome. I have decided to purchase another pistol and cannot justify keeping one that I will seldom shoot but I did fire sixteen rounds, and it shoots terrific. Located in Lebanon, TN 37087. Acceptable payment methods are cash (if sold locally), USPS money order, or bank check. If shipping is requested the buyer will be charged an additional $40 to cover shipping expenses. Shipments must be sent to an authorized FFL dealer. The buyer is required to send the FFL license to the seller. I am a private owner and do not represent a retailer. Local buyers will be asked to sign a TN Firearms Bill of Sale and provide a valid driver's license or valid TN Carry Permit to confirm they are 21-years or older. Call Green Diesel Engineering and talk to them. They have a solution to help with a lot of this that won't affect your warranty. It isn't as good as mine was from them as I had a completely different ECU and swapped them out when I took it to the dealer, but they have newer EPA approved options that still work better than factory. https://greendieselengineering.com/product/ram-1500-ecodiesel-hot-tune-performance-fuel-economy/2 points

The items mentioned above can be fixed with a transmission tune update from GDE. It does make a big difference in shift points. I had all of that on mine from basically new so never gave it much thought.2 points

Ammoseek reports that .45acp is the 9th most searched caliber. Ahead of .380acp, .38spl, 6.5 Creedmore, and .357Mag among others. They show lots of new brass-cased FMJ ammo at $.47 to $.50 per round in case lots. I still shoot it and use it in my carry gun. Bigger holes are always a good idea.2 points

What's going on. Just a guy from Nashville studying at ETSU. I like to call myself a gun accumulator not a collector lol. Wise man once said you can't have too many guns. But I'm about out of this place so it would be nice to lower the collection (I mean accumulation).1 point

I know based on some of your posts, you guys like the outdoors, camping etc. so go with the dirt bike route to start. Take it along on some suitable camping trips and do some double riding with her on some fire roads and easy two tracks. Bet she'll have a good time and then you'll have an easier time going forward.1 point

I wont be able to tune until the warranty runs out. I will definitely tune after I lose my warranty.1 point

From what I have read in 2016 they had a recall due to emissions requirements not meeting standards, like the VW issue. From what people say after they got the truck back from the dealership they noticed the lack of throttle response. I've not really read much about the transmission issues you mentioned, most people claim them to be really smooth. The truck I am looking at will have 4 years of warranty so I can't delete the EGR or do any tuning until that runs out.1 point

Go to BANKS DIESEL and get a Pedal Monster if they make one for it, it makes a big difference in the throttle response. I pur one on my 2500 and I also put an AFE Transmission Module on it and it ups the line pressure and produces smoother Transmission shifts.1 point

Coworker has a low miles 2016 ram eco diesel. Pretty nice truck for the most part but I don't love it. We have had several work related road trips in it and it has some weird quirks that bother me. It has a strange transmission shudder on part throttle acceleration from a stop. My coworker seems used to it or unaware but it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. Overall the transmission seems to be the issue not the engine. There are weird hard shifts or hunts for the right gear with moderate to quick transitions. Also seems to have some throttle response issues but that may just be my picky nature and the fact that I am normally driving a sports car or motorcycle. If I am being fair my f-150 is sluggish on the throttle in comparison to my other vehicles too.1 point

PSA has a smoking daily deal on the Shield .45. $340 shipped with CT laser. I needed something for the extended backpacking trips and hopefully this will fit the bill. It was an impulse buy, so hopefully I don’t regret it.1 point

I rode for many years without a MC endorsement; the entire time I was in the Marine Corps and for a couple years after. I finally decided I really should go take the test and get legal, so I rode my Harley Lowrider down to the local California DMV to take the riding test. The instructor came outside, took a look at the bike, asked me if how much I'd ridden it, and then signed off on the test without me ever starting the bike. By that time I'd been road-racing for several years and had owned quite a few bikes. But since then I've taken a number of riding classes, mostly high-performance classes on the track. I've learned things (and ignored things) in every single class. The most fun class of all was a trials riding class taken from a former world champ. That one was eye-opening.1 point

Then it should do just what you want to do. Let us know if you decide to get one. One other thing I wouldn't let it set for long periods of time if your not going to drive it alot make sure you start it once a month, I've had some buddies let their trucks sit for some time without starting and had a time getting them to run, just a heads up but you should be fine the eco diesel probably doesn't have all the crap on them like the Heavy Duty series has. Good luck and hope you find what you want for a decent deal.1 point

What's your boat and trailer weigh? Guessing it's probably around 3,500 lbs give or take. Today most full size SUV's with a tow package are rated 5,000 lbs or more so don't lock yourself into a truck unless you want a truck.1 point

I just want to say this, not as a plug but my own experience with the Stribog SP9a1. These PCCs are absolutely fantastic. I know they have been deemed questionable or "unreliable" on the internet because of the old magazines and a couple YouTubers initial issues, but not only have I never had an issue with my original magazines, the new global ordnance/grand power collaboration on curved magazines fixes any and all potential issues. They aren't expensive, they are made of noticeably better quality and they will feed any ammo including various hollow points. The gun is and has always been a great shooter and is extremely fun to handle. All this to say, don't let the old internet buzz scare you off, these are good to go from my experience and the newest reports I've seen, just get the curved mags if you want it for home defense or something in serious use. Have a good one fellas and GLWS.1 point

I can now officially say I can ride a motorcycle. I passed the MSF at Pellissippi State today. It was a great two day class and definitely worth the $250. A few of the people in the class already have motorcycles and said they still learned a lot.1 point

On most lever guns its a fairly simple DIY job. There are replacement sights as well as easy to install rails readily available on the internet.1 point

There ya have it. Seems like every new gun owner goes out and buys a 9mm. There have been a lot of new gun owners in the last couple of years. So they're making ammo for the general public. Whereas .45acp shooters, especially 1911 shooters, tend to be more serious about their guns and most reload. I have a bunch of .45acp pistols. I haven't bought any factory ammo in years.1 point

$346 including tax and shipping. Tax will be collected regardless, so it should be excluded from any calculations. Let’s go with the $317 shipped plus the $30 transfer. The academy price of $439 doesn’t appear to be the laser model. I don’t see them ever reaching the $350 mark for one including the CT laser. Plus, I plain don’t like shopping with Academy.1 point
