Let me just say that I swap this slide onto my G45 as well, whenever I want 17-rds and a slightly larger grip. I mostly carry this as it looks here, though, since my G45 is also milled for an optic but includes a comp and larger light. This Gen5 Glock 19 is definitely more of an EDC for me and has been through three different slide/optics configurations since I've owned it. (^^ This is an older pic with a Night Fision rear sight. I didn't like it, so I swapped that out for a 10-8 Performance rear sight) What you're looking at is a setup that has worked very well for me. Specifics are: Gen 5 Glock Frame with mostly stock internals. Zev Pro Trigger with Zev "Minus" Connector. Curved trigger shoe version. Agency Arms Syndicate S2 Slide with Agency Optics System (AOS). Holosun HE509T-X2-GR Green Dot optic on AOS plate. Traditional "irons-behind" plate version. Night Fusion front sight with green outline Tritium dot. 10-8 Performance rear sight with solid-black configuration. Glock OEM Gen5 "Marksman" barrel. Streamlight TLR7A weapon light. LAS Concealment Saya 2.0 holster. Why this setup? The key component in this setup for me is the slide because of the Agency Optics System. For years now I have run slides cut specifically for the Triicon RMR footprint. But as other players, like Holosun, have entered the game and gotten to be really good at it, I have wanted an optics mounting system that was manufacturer-agnostic. The AOS setup fits that bill for me and is really strong and very proven under some abusive conditions thanks to folks like Aaron Cowan at Sage Dynamics. How does it perform? Really well. I've become a serious fan of the Holosun 509T because of its rugged design, reputation for reliability (again, Sage Dynamics) and fully enclosed emitter design. This is my first green dot version, though, and I have not yet decided if it is all that more advantageous than a red dot. I have two other 509Ts, both red dots, on other guns and I run them just fine. The green dot is supposedly faster to acquire visually, but I honestly cannot tell much of a difference. It may just be me, though. The gun itself performs as you'd expect. It is a Glock. The Marksman barrel is quite nice. The gun is capable of more accuracy than I am. Occasionally the planets align, I do my part somewhat perfectly, and it feels like we're both in the groove. Those are good times. ZOMG, your serial number is visible! Meh. I'm not that paranoid. The government knows I have some guns and I run a big-ass gun forum. I'm already on their list.4 points

Quit pickin on the guy. He's not real internet savy, but he is honest. I bought the Single Six and Beretta. Made the deal and exchanged info via IM and phone. He showed up on time, was friendly and all went very well. What more do you want? He posted the list and prices. If you're interested, just contact him and work out the details.3 points

Source: Hellcat® Pro OSP™ 9mm Handgun - Springfield Armory (springfield-armory.com) Basically, Springfield is giving us a Hellcat that takes the 15-round magazine without the need for a grip-extension on the mag, a slightly longer slide, and more beef in the right places. It's got the capacity of a Glock 19 with the width of a Hellcat and is optics-ready right out of the gate. It seems to have the same optics footprint as the regular Hellcat OSP, meaning it natively takes the HEX Wasp, JP Enterprises JPoint and Shield RMSc optics. If I am correct about the optics footprint, it also works with the Holosun 507K adapter plate that CHPWS makes. That adapter plate is very thin and just negates the fact that the Holosun 507K doesn't have holes for the rear recoil lugs on the Hellcat. Easy peasy. Reviews that I've seen for the new Hellcat Pro make it look really promising. I could probably be swayed to spend some cash on one, myself. Here's the best review that I've seen yet.2 points

I own 3 GT knives, the first one I bought probably 5 years ago, and the most recent maybe 3 years ago. Each one that I bought was more finally crafted than the previous, but these are absolutely beautiful. I use at least one or more nearly daily. May be time to pick up another soon.2 points

With last year’s effective denial of any more Russian ammo imports and the current situation, no one is going to be buying any new Russian ammo very, very soon.2 points

This week is the single most important of the session with regard to 2nd Amendment restorative bills, as well as gun control initiatives. We as a populace have the opportunity to advance the return to Right to keep, bear and wear arms as intended by our Founders, or sit on the sidelines and let the Department of Safety have their way. Every good piece of legislation is being opposed by them. If you want to join 39 other States that allows long guns to be legally carried (Grills' HB 1898), then now is the time to call every member of the Civil Justice Sub committee, and the one that makes operators responsible for your safety if they deny you the ability to carry a legal firearm on their property (HB 2770). We can measure the friends we have on that sub committee by their votes this Week. Todd's 1735 lowering the age for permits to 18 (HB 1735) is up in Full Civil Committee and appears to be going down due to Department of Safety obfuscating facts, telling committee members we will lose reciprocity with 21 State if it passes, which is a complete falsehood, and anyone who can read and do math on an 8th grade level can see that from looking at their website. I called all of the full committee members offices yesterday with a summary of the facts of that. why Safety feels the need to interject itself into our Constitutional Rights is beyond me... The flow chart is the People in charge, who hire legislators to pass laws that the various tax payer paid departments are supposed to enforce, The Sheriffs, Chiefs, TBI, DAs and Department of Safety are simply our employees, given power to enforce laws by the People, they are NOT hired to be our rulers. With this being an election year, and every Representative with a new district, we have the best chance in a long time to be effective in contacting them. Honor your Article 1 Section 23 obligation to instruct your Representatives and contact them now.2 points

I’ve got a beautiful classic 1911 in 45 ACP. If you know anything about Para, this one was made in the original factory before Remington bought the brand. It was my old man’s and I love looking at it but that is about all I do is look at it and don’t give it the love it deserves. It’s got less than 200 rounds down it. 3 para mags come with it, 2 are unopened still. Has box, manual and everything else. I’ve got a few hundred rounds as well that I can throw into a trade if interested. I’m looking to get into a black sig p320 carry in 9mm. Open to any reasonable trades that include the sig or a cash offer if interested.1 point

I’d suggest going to the Guntersville end. We were up towards Scottsboro, and the whole lake was full of grass. Like fishing in a flooded hay field.1 point

I’ve got a bunch of his knives. I’ve watched the quality go from pretty decent to the absolutely masterful in nature. It’s been a cool part of the collecting.1 point

That's my kind of luck, too. Maybe it's true what they say, though? Two is one, and one is none. I stumbled across the CHPWS plate while educating myself on which optics the OSP takes. It looks like a good option.1 point

Of course, a month after I buy my Hellcat.... Thanks for mentioning that adapter plate. I didn't know that was an option. @Chucktshoes was trying to get me to do some slight modifications to my slide. My nickname on the Tundra forum is The Mangler so I've been reluctant to try it.1 point

It's worth the effort and expense to switch to one. The learning curve isn't near as bad as most folks assume that it will be.1 point

If you don't handload, I would pick something with plentiful ammo availability and good price. I know, that's a tall order these days. Sad.1 point

It's actually very grippy. The texture almost feels like a carpenter's rasp. Lots of bite.1 point

Must be more of an easterly thing. Here obviously, and all my folks in MS, AR, AL, GA and even down into LA are all in the y’all camp. —-Just looked it up and this is what I found.—- According to the linguists on the interwebs, that’s an Appalachian bit of dialect. Also, my call of sounding like “yinz” like you hear up in PA was correct as it actually is a shortened version of “you-uns” which is a shortening of “you ones”. Y’all has a completely separate etymological origin. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/yall-youuns-yinz-youse-how-regional-dialects-are-fixing-standard-english1 point

One of the nicest if not the nicest long long range rifle you will ever see. It is a surgeon rifle xl, with spuhr scope rings, Schmidt and Bender 5-45x56 PM II High Power. This gun is truly capable of shooting long distance. Honestly it is too much riffle for me. I’m asking 8,700 obo. The gun was over 6500 new. The scope was 6,000. The rings were 440. You can’t find a better setup than this right here. Located in Millington Tn. Also I have 3 mags total for it with about 30 rounds.1 point

Also, I've used Custom Slide Work | DP Custom Works LLC many times now and have been SUPER thrilled with the result and turn-around. I used Primary Machine, another shop, once and ultimately wasn't pleased with the result.1 point

I would encourage you to find someone who is willing to have the slide coating done again with nitride or heat-cured Cerekote no matter what you do. I have seen way too many slides ruined by rusting due to the optic cut merely cold-blued or finished with an air-cure coating of some sort. This isn't something to skimp on. It will affect the longevity of your gun as well as it's resale-value if it's done wrong.1 point

The entire legislative session will boil down to the next three weeks. If you want to make a change in Tennessee laws, get up and get to the legislature. Moms Demand Action (Soros/Bloomberg) fill the entire committee room every session. One, maybe two Tennesseans in favor of your Rights are there. If you don't show up, do not complain later.1 point

suppressors laws are lame, if I was going to break the law I'm drilling a 3rd hole.1 point

That is sad, but also should be a wake up call for all of us. Never, ever let your guard down. Unless you know a person really well, keep an eye on him or her. You can't be too safe.1 point

So according to the idiots at BATFE what you have rolling around in your head that you might be thinking of building a suppressor counts as much as having the piece of tubing, a lathe, a drill press, a welder, etc, etc. I would really like to know what they are so intent on banning suppressors for. I don't recall any recent shootings where a suppressor was used, unless I didn't hear that one!! Yes I intended to say hear. LOL1 point

I've noticed that codes for running water lines is different, they are often exposed. Gas lines as well. No pylons allowed in CA for the house foundation, must be a full solid foundation (and likely right, due to Earthquake reasons). Just a few things like that. Lots of CA imports heading to TN. As long as they leave their politics behind, that's good. If you're a home owner, prices going up is a good thing.1 point

They already purchased the equipment. Not sure if it is state-side yet though. It will take some time. Couple years maybe to get it all up and running. I am reloading 7.62x39 in the meantime (never thought I would be doing this) but am hopeful they get this and 5.45x39 as well.1 point
