The FK BRNO is a new pistol that will be imported for the first time in February. The say it is a new and unique concept and design and fires a proprietary cartridge, the 7.5 FK. The Field Pistol is a sporting pistol designed primarily to be used in long-range competitions, silhouette shooting, hunting, and generally any pistol shooting activity and tasks that requires the ability to engage targets at longer ranges, especially with a folding stock , such as (PSD) personal security detail, urban / suburban combat, backup (SBR) short barrel rifle, Air crew survival weapon, mechanised armour crew weapon, among other uses. Of course adding a folding stock requires a tax stamp. It is guaranteed to shoot less than 100x100mm at 100m. That is under a 4" group at 100m. Muzzle velocity is 2000fps with 880 ft/lbs and at 100m is still 1525fps and 520 ft/lbs. There are some interesting videos on their website. They take some large animals (200-320lbs) and do ballistic gel testing. Pretty impressive results. Now for the bad news. There is only one company that is going to import these. There will only be 1001 6" Field Pistols made for the US. The first order of 100 is almost all spoken for. They are accepting refundable deposits of $2500 to reserve a pistol. Price for the pistol is $7500. The ammo is 77.50 for a box of 50 95 gr hp. Don't know why but I really want one of these. If you see me posting a lot of toys for sale on here you will know I have finally lost my mind. lol. https://www.fkbrno.com/the-pistol-7-51 point

Selling CZ p-09 complete slide. Slide was milled + cerakoted by primary machine for RMR, includes BUIS with rear sight milled in front of RMR. Has little over 4k on slide, barrel and maybe 2k on RMR. Can remove RMR and/or sights if needed. Looking for $330 for slide and $325 for RMR (rm06, type 2, 3.25 moa.), buyer pays shipping or FTF in/around Nashville (I am out in williamson county). IF somebody is interested in the whole gun in pic, let me know + make an offer. Point 1 tactics AIWB holster, good holster, little too wide for me. At one point, I did try to roll the holster little on the sight channel side- changed shape little with a heat gun. Returned it pretty much to previous shape but there is a little roughness of shape still apparent. Looking for $40, will ship on my dime if needed.1 point

I bet "Non-Smart Firearms" will command a premium in the underworld by the year 2030, or 2040, or 2050?1 point

NickinTn is the man responsible for me buying one! LOL! Saw him comment on these way back then, when first released. Wild stories flying about concerning what they were and why released. I bought one and thought to myself..."You're Crazy!" You don't even shoot the one you have now! I lost the conversation. It's one of the most beautiful Berettas I have ever seen. And the answer is no, I've never shot it either. Just never liked the big, heavy pistol. Someday I may offer mine for sale. Someday. LOL. But when I do, the Desert Storm model will go as well.1 point

Much of that may as well be in chinese for someone like me who doesn't know the meaning of those acronyms.1 point

He's wholly incorrect about that. A phone can not have a PROVIDER (AT&T, Verizon, etc) & still can call 9-1-1. But a phone HAS to have a signal to get out. I experienced this as recently as yesterday, up in back hills of my county. A sat phone is a different matter entirely, as I'm sure you know.1 point

From what I understamd is the tasers the MNPD have are only good for about 10 feet. Way to close when someone has a knife one hand and their other hand in their pocket. Less lethal shot gun rounds does not always stop someone from doing more harm, again LEO did not know what was in the mans pocket.1 point

There are a few double-action-only models in 9,40 and 45. I don't have any .40SW models since I don't reload that caliber. There are p85, p91, p93 and p94 models too. I don't have those either. After this P95 I think I'm pretty happy with what I have. I still have my Glock carry pistol and such but it's fun to have old clunky things like these that eat all kinda ammo and run so well.1 point

Well the cost for this one is about 1/4th of the one I really wanted so I have not lost all my marbles yet.1 point

Perhaps the lawyer is a civil attorney who just also has an association with the NAACP and a background in dealing with officer involved misconduct. I have no problem with the family immediately obtaining an attorney. Regardless if the deceased was right or wrong, this is still a trying time for his family, and at this moment they may not be able to effectively gather and communicate their thoughts. Their actions are the same actions that any of us would take if we were involved in a shooting. Shut up and get a lawyer.1 point

This was my first thought . There were already several officers and highway patrol covering the guy with their weapons. Then two more officers approach the the scene with shotguns. Why couldn’t someone employ less than lethal on him while he’s standing there with the box cutter? Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but I expect more professionalism from the highway patrol. I was an army Military Policeman and very briefly a corrections officer. Two things both of those jobs stressed and required were the ability to be able to deescalate and communicate. In the army you’re dealing with some people who can easily kick your ass at any time and in corrections all you have is your voice and a radio to save your behind. In the body cam video the officer talking was a good thing, but it also sounded like someone covering his ass if he had to shoot. Good move. Other than that, there were no attempts to use less than lethal force prior to the now deceased pulling his hand from his pocket. In any situation similar to this, I’d rather see less than lethal force applied prematurely as opposed to someone getting killed or a having an officer injured. The repercussions for using less lethal prematurely are less severe than those that will be faced for discharging a firearm. Someone mentioned that people would still complain about the use of less than lethal force. Perhaps, but it’s not a career ending event where the officers potentially faces jail and financial ruin. Just my two cents. Have a good weekend.1 point

That’s how you want it. The leather will stretch a bit with use and fit perfectly.1 point

The original video showed the guys arm move and then the additional shots were fired, The decommissioning is BS IMO, you fire to eliminate a threat, the threat was not over to the observer, and I would have done the same thing in his position. The additional shots made no difference to the perp surviving this incident, so it is all about the optics, but they are pandering to the wrong side of this.1 point

They are fat and I guess you'd say crude but they run and run. Their slides are cast steel and the metal frame are cast aluminum. I've never seen one fail. They were Rugers entry into the 80s "wonder nine" pistols like the Beretta 92 and SW 59 series.1 point

In that case, one of the hand held radios should work fine. I have a Baofeng radio. It's capable of transmitting but I don't have a license. In the event of an emergency, I have no hesitation to transmit without a license. They can fine me if they like (I doubt they would) it'd be better than being dead. But also understand that the radio won't work down in the hollers unless there's a repeater tower close by.1 point
